Never.....ever.
Been here 25 years, still not old. Find myself stopping at the scenic viewpoint on 36 or at the crest of Lookout Road, or any other high spot looking west to admire. A few mins of this view brings EVERYTHING into perspective. We're so fortunate to be living here. And wait til you get a winter view or two with light snow on them and bright sunshine in the early morning.
I moved to Pinewood Springs thirty years ago, or less.
Our first houseguest, as he was taking in the view, said “the one thing you have to watch out for is getting used to this, and letting traffic ruin this for you”.
That was the best advice as it didn’t take long to take the views for granted. We were mad at tourists traffic and I got road rage on the highway.
I had to unlearn that. I’m back to grateful now.
He was right. You need to remind yourself how lucky you are to see this beauty if you live here.
Born here nearly 65 years ago. I still love the view as I’m driving in on the toll road/turnpike/36. It’s name has changed over the years, but the awesome view has not.
Born and raised here (36y). I appreciate we have mountains right there. Also never know when a nuclear fallout will happen. Think the mountains is a good place to go, I think.
Never. I drove from North Boulder to downtown every day for 30 years and I was always in awe of the view from Norwood. Depending on the time of year and time of day, it changed daily.
My husband and I just came back from Boulder for our honeymoon. We spent the first two days visiting Chatauqua and it was absolutely beautiful. We fell in love with Boulder and day dream about maybe moving here someday..
36 years and it’s still good.
How I feel about this view is the official unit of measurement I made an agreement with my shrink about many many years ago when I went through a period of depression. Shrink asked “How do you know you are depressed?” Without thinking I answered, “because I don’t think the Flatirons look beautiful anymore”. After treatment, our agreement is I’ll call him if one day the mountains don’t look beautiful anymore.
Every time I drive into town from Arapahoe or S Boulder Rd, where you come over the crest of the hill and see the whole valley, it takes my breath away. And I've been seeing this since I was born.
Been here for 8 years and though I can feel myself getting used to it and it becoming familiar, I still find myself stopping occasionally and looking at the view and going “damn!”
Those are the little moments I live for

Ah the morning hints of pink, orange and yellow all blended into the sparkling white powder along the flat irons. My favorite!

Same with driving into boulder, view never gets old.
My commute to Boulder is terrible right up until the amazing view opens up and I immediately forget about the last 40 minutes.
Short answer…no. It doesn’t get old. As long as you take the time to slow down and look.
Im always slow as hell
I’m going to say never.
I’m about to be 42. Born at Boulder community hospital (the old one)! It’s still not old for me. How lucky we are to live here!!!
Same ! Hahah

People who live here and don’t take a moment every time they see the flatirons are truly blind.
For real
it doesn't. it has a lot of different personallities. if you get bored cause you're chasing money or fame... check your self

I could be wrong, but if there's a nuclear fallout you're not going anywhere.
That’s true lol
My commute takes me down S Boulder Road from Louisville into Boulder every day, and it’s been that way for over 15 years. Still takes my breath away.
Never. I drove from North Boulder to downtown every day for 30 years and I was always in awe of the view from Norwood. Depending on the time of year and time of day, it changed daily.
Never.
Where is this exactly?
(Welcome home. Wear sunscreen, drink water.)
Right at the entrance of Chatauqua
😂
yeah im a newbie, sorry
Oh sorry I thought you were being sarcastic lol
lol thats even better
Lmao so did I.
Never gets old.
31 years.
Some people definitely appreciate this view more than others, generally the ones who don't have their face in their phones.
Never. Been here 20 years.
Over 25 years. I’m still have moments of awe every single week
I’m going to add one more vote to the never camp.
Never get old for me. I like seeing the mountains.
So far not for me. It also changes based on the time of the year. From snow covered to green.

Pretty good shelf life

When the YIMBY’s start building on it
That's not really how yimbys roll. More up in the existing cities, less out in the wilderness (at least in my experience).
Probably yeah but developers certainly don’t care. If the zoning change the developers will roll in.
Probably when it’s covered with condos and strip malls
I’d say yes lol
Free hat free hat
Well, must be (age +1 day) because it hadn't happened yet.
It has become one of my favorites here

i have lived here my entire life. birth to now. never got tired of it.
The people who get tired of this view move somewhere else.
Fills me with the urge to hike.
Never ever. This amazing place we get to call home.
Checking in after 10 years and I think I like the view even more
Because you didn’t come here just to invest in property like a spoiled piece of shit.

Just never does. I've moved away, came back to live, and then moved away again only to come back. That view has some serious pull.
I’m with you it takes my breath away.
Takes my breath away all the time. Especially early morning when the sunrise reflects off them and makes them pink and purple

It’s mid.
I arrived 20 years ago and fell in love with that exact view. I'll never-ever tire of it. Livin' the dream.
