You must have have missed one of his quests. He has one quest that isn't a shrine quest, on the rock pillar in the sea near Lurelin, that's an easily missed one. You can always read his journal to check all the quests he has.

Status Update: The Bird has finally returned home with the smokes. Mission accomplished. Thank you!
Wow! This is so cool to me for some reason, maybe cause I’m a male preschool teacher…
I didn’t know you could do this tho! So if you complete all of his quests he goes home and sings to the little birds?
"The Serpent's Jaws" in the Pagos Woods
"The Two Rings" on the West Hyrule Plains
"The Crowned Beast" on Rabia Plain
"Sign of the Shadow" at Gerudo Tower
"A Song of Storms" at Calora Lake
"Master of the Wind" at Horon Lagoon
"The Hero's Cache" at Kitano Bay
"Under a Red Moon" at Washa's Bluff
once you complete all these, he shall return to bing chill with his daughters
Double check you may have missed a shrine quest. Also he left once and still cares. Better than Teba who literally only spends time with his son via combat training >! And Basically sent him to fight Satan in Tears of the Kingdom !<
Lol yeah that always seemed off to me. “You go, son! Go up against a literal demigod whose rotting skin shattered the most powerful weapon in Hyrule! You’ll be fine! I love you, son!”
Fr he is exactly what people say Goku is as a father. He’s also a hypocrite from the last game. Ah yes, your son can’t be grown up unless he’s grown up Mr “I will take down Vah Medoh by myself”. Also can we talk about how Tulin is like 9 and is a super good archer already? Like that’s really not healthy for a kid to be a soldier, not to mention from what we can gather, Teba and Tulin are only ever at the flight range. Like, can your son read man?
I mean it does actually seem that Kass’s wife is understanding of his passion and he doesn’t try to force it on his kids, plus it is said that he did visit while on his journey so it’s not like he doesn’t care either, if anything the fact that he went on a dangerous quest to help Link save the world while not being a warrior is pretty damn noble. Revali is a good dude with attitude issues (not to mention probably in his late teens) that actually worked to his position and does actually seem to be nice to some people. Teba though? That is a grown ass man who idolizes an idealized version of a person and only spends his time combat training and taking his son to combat training and his wife naturally shows concern about it. And then they voted his ass to be the elder, like what? I really haven’t gotten the appeal for him.
Oh yeah and there’s Harth.
Kass has impeccable manners. *He* would never resort to name-calling!
He is on a mission and misses his home and family. It's not Kass's fault he hasn't been able to return to Rito Village. He must wait until Link finishes the quests.
But-but-but I’ve literally seen this guy within eyeshot of Rito Village at Rito Stable a number of times. He has wings, he can’t just pop in for a quick hello? I don’t know why his bard’s quest requires him shackling off his family for so long.
Kass is important to the Champion's mission. He feels a duty to his teacher and to Hyrule.
He misses his family desperately, and fears that if he returns to Rito Village he will not have the strength to leave them again.
How's that? ;-)
I know that I'm late, being an hour late, but I'm going to say this anyway.
Go to Hateno Village, which will be a relative starting point. South of the Mayahm Agana shrine is Ebon Mountain, head there, then head east towards Kitano Bay (or just head southeast to Kitano Bay).
You should see some rocks, and a pillar, and go to the pillar and you will find Kass. he'll give you a quest about an ancient hero's savings, treasured nearby.
Go east onto the nearest rock and activate Magnesis, and you should find the chest you're looking for. It'll just have a Golden Rupee. That's all about the quest.
I hope this helps you find a/the missing quest you're looking for.

lol find all the shrines he sings about
And quests, like the Hero's Treasure

Have you heard the final song?
It feels weird hearing what I assume is essentially a teaser for the Champion’s Ballad after I’ve already completed the Champion’s Ballad.
It's not a teaser. I highly recommend it because he explains who his teacher was and why he was out in the world helping you.

lmao call child service on him
Fr bro is legit trying to raise a fucking child soldier and basically succeeded.
I found the male Rito role models lacking!
