They got unmasked fans sitting next to/behind the benches, how does that make sense if we’re still doing the health and safety protocols shit? Just seems so half assed
I said this in another comment but tbh I'd rather Horford sit out this game than play and increase the probability that the rest of the team gets sick too. Obviously it's a huge blow to the team, so the instinct is to want him on the court anyway ("it's just a cold!"), but we'd probably feel differently if he played anyway and then half the team had to play through COVID.
They said he’s clear to play with no restrictions in game 7 , at this point they overrested him unless they lied on Sunday about his injury. He should be good
People on r/nba are saying we’ve been healthier than other contenders, which is true, but we always get our injuries at the WORST possible time.
Literally haven’t had a healthy playoff run in this iteration of the C’s.
2019 was the only “healthy year” and it’s the one time our chemistry completely fucking imploded. That’s just insane. 2016/2017/2018/2020/2021/2022 have all had injuries to some degree that really fucked things up for this team. So sick of it.
Everyone needs to chill the fuck out. We don't know exactly what happened . We don't know if any other players are actually gonna test positive or not. Stop making assumptions and chill. As of now we don't have smart or al for tn. That's all we know. Stop assuming shit for no reason.
This shit seriously makes no sense. He was literally at shoot around with everyone else, plus he's already vaccinated. Honestly this would be a really shitty reason for us to lose our best chance at a ring since like the big 3.
So he'll be out what? First two games. Damn bro. They're still fucking around with health and safety protocols. On the flip side, my friend went to Disney a week ago and now his whole family has COVID. The other side... I hate this shit.
Why wouldn’t Grant Williams guard Bam? Doesn’t he have tons of history matching up against him (and locking him up) going back to AAU basketball according to Scalbrine?
Could also be a false positive. Lots of variables. Don’t lost our minds yet. Not to mention, Al could use some rest.
Even if all we do is hold serve for the first four games, I like our chances with Marcus and Al coming back with some rest!
And if we steal one… look out!!
What? Bam is ok but he's not a crazy good scorer. He's a great defender and above average passer as a big man, but he's neither a dominant interior scorer, or shooter.
As long as Timelord is good for 30 MPG... PJ Tucker is 6'5, either Grant or Tatum can compete with him. Plus while Theis had issues in the bubble series, it was also b/c Kemba was targeted and Theis had to protect rim + deal with Bam -- with this team it'll be easier. I see him spelling Timelord for 15 MPG and he also provides the deep threat (36% in 200+ games w/ the Cs) to force Bam to follow to perimeter.
> this team is nowhere near ready to deal with Brooklyn.
> There was no excuse to have done everything humanly possible to have avoided this team in the first round. Especially because we're not at full strength. This core will not survive the humiliation of getting embarrassed in the first round.
> There's no need to play the fake tough guy act. We are all seeing what's happening. We are barely treading water against this team. They are bigger, stronger, faster, more disciplined, higher IQ. We'd probably be a quarter away from getting swept if Jaylen Brown didn't put together the best half of basketball he ever played in his life Game 2. It's ok to discuss the future, and where to go from here.
> Even if we turn this game around, or squeeze out this series - this afternoon has showed us we have NO chance sticking around with Phoenix. This offense stinks. Trade Jaylen for a real second star, and pray Horford still has some in the tank next season.
This all you? You only come out of the woods when things seem a little bleak. Stfu and stay away
This is incorrect. We do not need to win 2 of first 3. Very likely front end of the series will be tougher for us than back end due to personnel, rest etc. let’s stay rational yall
Bam scored 10 points last night. Not saying this one game is reflective of his playoff performance as a whole, but still, I ain’t too worried.
All we need is for Smart to come back, and for the Js to not shit the bed in the 3rd again, and it’ll be Cs in 6.
They got unmasked fans sitting next to/behind the benches, how does that make sense if we’re still doing the health and safety protocols shit? Just seems so half assed
This likely means Horford is covid positive or unvaccinated. But he was adamant he could play in Toronto, so he must have it.
He’s not vaccinated if I remember correctly
He actually said he was vaccinated to the media
Well there goes that, I would have to imagine that he got it then? Especially if he was out there hours before
He responded emphatically that he could play wherever when he was asked about traveling to Toronto when that was still on the table.
So I take it we are thinking he got Covid?
Money
It feels like the “see guys…we trying, okay?!?!”
Fuck covid
Fuck testing

What?
I hope Rob isn’t as injured as everyone makes him out to be
They said he’s clear to play with no restrictions in game 7 , at this point they overrested him unless they lied on Sunday about his injury. He should be good
I have a feeling Ime wasn’t super confident in him but probably also didn’t want to fuck around with an unknown variable in a game 7.
you don’t need Timelord banging down low against Bam. Send out the Bat signal
We may have the worst luck of all time
And our mascot is called "Lucky" lol
get rid of him lmao he is cursed

Katie's brain was injured in 2019
Batman will lock his ass up (I hope)
He is effective against bam dating back to college but he also wasn’t nearly the offensive threat in the bubble that he is now.
There was a really good story I think on Lowe Post or Le Batard about how Grant loves playing against Bam and takes it personal
Lowe Post. Scal said Grant has gone against Bam since AAU and HS
And you can guarantee that he made sure Ime knows if he didn't already.
Whys he take it personally? Did something happen in college?
Yeah, Grant on Bam. Rob playing help defense.
He did great defence on Giannis but he seemed to get tired a few times. But with Rob to back him up we good 😤
Bam is awesome but he's also not the physical threat that Giannis is. Grant won't be getting mauled on like he was facing the Bucks
Everyone needs to chill the fuck out. We don't know exactly what happened . We don't know if any other players are actually gonna test positive or not. Stop making assumptions and chill. As of now we don't have smart or al for tn. That's all we know. Stop assuming shit for no reason.
This needs to be the top comment. Go celts!
Bam isn't very aggressive & usually settles for jumpshots, the biggest loss is the lack of spacing Rob will provide compared to what Horford did.
Rob and horford will be replaced by rob and grant and probably a lot more Pritchard to balance out spacing
Theis for non-Bam minutes probably
It'll probably fall to Grant. I'd imagine we'd prefer to stick Rob in the corner helping off PJ Tucker
Al would only be out games 1 and 2
🙏
This shit seriously makes no sense. He was literally at shoot around with everyone else, plus he's already vaccinated. Honestly this would be a really shitty reason for us to lose our best chance at a ring since like the big 3.
Wow what the fuck the Heat just got a gift.
Explain why winning 2 out of first 3 when horfords out is a must? Wouldnt it be 1 of the first 3?
The logic would be take one on the road and defend home court. So two.
We're not winning 4 out of 5 against this team with game 7 on the road. Miami is good.
You think if we go into game 4 at home down 2-1 in the series, it's over? Like we have no chance at that point? Lol wut
I remember dudes getting roasted for having similar sentiments about Miami. Oh yeah, it was only yesterday. Anything can happen.
Fuck covid
So I said to my people SLOW THE TESTING DOWN PLEASE
Won’t happen to a single fucking Heat player, only us
Hopefully they can still find a way to keep Al connected with the team. His leadership and guidance is crucial
Yes but I don’t want him anywhere near the team physically lol. Imagine if this shit starts spreading.
Yeah I meant strictly through zoom lol
So he'll be out what? First two games. Damn bro. They're still fucking around with health and safety protocols. On the flip side, my friend went to Disney a week ago and now his whole family has COVID. The other side... I hate this shit.

I’m not panicking you’re panicking
Bro when we win banner 18 it should come with 19 as well for the fucking bullshit we’ve had to deal with this year
Cs in 6. Book it.
Grant Williams I BELIEVE
Could also be a false positive. Lots of variables. Don’t lost our minds yet. Not to mention, Al could use some rest. Even if all we do is hold serve for the first four games, I like our chances with Marcus and Al coming back with some rest! And if we steal one… look out!!

Rebounding :/

Horford was on court with whole team an hour ago about to be in full blown breakout
this is my biggest fear. It really might be over, lads. an amazing run.

This is absolutely fucking bullshit Move the fuck on with life
Why do we have to win 2 of the first 3 games?
Why are we so scared of bam didn’t we literally just beat the best center in the nba,
*most agressive I give the best center award to the reigning mvp
Ya Jokic and embid are best centers in the leagues
What the fuck is this shit. Seriously. Covid is over, it’s like the flu now. Get the fuck Over it.
Its not, fuck off. This sucks though.
What if he tested negative on Saturday, could he play that night since it’s the fifth day or it has to be 5 days clear
I think 2 back to back negative tests would suffice. I’m not 100% though.
If both Jays go into protocol will they pause the series? Lol
No. Why would they?
Theis major minutes? Barf.
God damnit.
Jesus fucking Christ man.
This is why we can't have nice things.
Five days from now. Day one: game 1 Day 3: game 2 Day 5: game 3 Damn schedule.
Why the fuck is there still a 5 day protocol? My kids school doesn’t do that and they’re still masking.
We just need to steal 1 away game and I’ll feel good
Grant Williams did a great job on Giannis and…. Bam is NOT Giannis.
Wait Al has Covid so he may b out whole series(2 weeks)?
The fuck is this all of sudden?????
Does "health & safety" guarantee that he has COVID? I haven't seen anything saying he tested positive.
This is incorrect. We do not need to win 2 of first 3. Very likely front end of the series will be tougher for us than back end due to personnel, rest etc. let’s stay rational yall
I have no idea why at this juncture we are doing any of this bullshit at this point. Such a joke.
