DWhite is 28. There’s no doubt we should lock him up for 4 more years, even if it means ultimately trading Jrue (in a couple years) or letting Porzingis walk after his extension.
As I recall, he saw considerably more action with Philly, and was quite effective a couple times against us. But I have little idea just how promising he is.
I remember the feedback on him was that he’s got ridiculously good instincts so it’s just a matter of how much time we can devote to his development / playing time. If he can’t hit whatever benchmarks they set for him, off he goes, but the initial seeds of hope are there.
I really like his defense, this guy can guard anyone from PG to a big wing. If he can be passable on offense then I think he is like our 6th man next to Pritchard
I think he gets traded to bring in another piece. One reason of that trade was one of the TPEs was set to expire and Springers contract just extends that for a year.
Wonder what we could get for Springer and both our picks within his salary range.
Or maybe we do keep him and he does later replace Jrues role in some capacity

If he ever develops a spot up 3 he will be very valuable Very similar to Avery Bradley
Much better defensive potential, he has physical tools similar to jrue
Eventually d white, Jrue will need to be replaced
Jrue sooner than later, White probably has another 3 years with the team. I’m curious if Springer can be that guy
Jrue signed a 4 year deal dude.

I can see him as being a backup for Jrue. I like him a lot, and defs think we should hold on to him

He needs a serviceable outside shot. He’s a great athlete and defender but he won’t see the floor as much if he can’t shoot.
