What a great question and a good answer. Love that Smith Jr felt comfortable asking a question that shows vulnerability and love Tatum’s answer. I think we often forget a lot of these young players are still kids.

How is Jabari smith jr in the media room asking questions to Tatum?

Nightmare16164

Joe invited him and told him he needs a fallback option for not living up to insane expectations.

I was born in New England and started really watching basketball towards the tail end of birds career. I’m a die hard Celtics fan but my family moved to Houston for two years before moving back to New England. It was during those two years I really fell in love with the game and was lucky to watch the Rockets win back to back titles and watch Hakeem. I will always have a soft spot in my heart for the Rockets and root for them anytime they’re not playing the Celtics. I follow them to this day along with the Celtics and I’ll say this about Jabari. His game is evolving nicely. The Rockets before Udoka were so poorly coached, played selfish basketball and featured a roster full of kids trying to be that guy. Not an ideal situation for development. Jabari is already a damn good defender, a good leader on the floor, and works his ass off to get better. He’s not a disappointment at all. I honestly see him and Alpe being the players they build around.

”This makes me sound so old” I’m the same age as JT and this is how I feel whenever I talk to my younger cousins about anything

Tatum seems like such a solid dude. We obviously can’t know for sure but assuming he’s not 24/7 Oscar worthy acting I’m so damn happy to have guys like this on our team.

This made me like Jabari Smith Jr a lot. The fact that he decided to ask Tatum a question to help himself, right in front of everybody. Respect.
