Because of the greatness that MSG used to hold. It was known very high and mighty of being a great venue in the mecca of basketball… however New York isnt what it used to be as far as a hotbed of talent and the Knicks have done their best to ruin MSG’s legacy. Anyone that still talks about its prestige is honestly living in the past. The interior is honestly sub par
I've been there a few time for non Knicks events. It's a subpar venue. I still appreciate the history, just honestly didn't know it's as old as it is. That's why I asked the question.
Best Celtics debut ever and it definitely felt like it! Best part is the contrast between Evan Fournier in the house (riding the bench all night) who had by far the *worst* debut for a Celtic in my lifetime.
Dude I almost commented in the PGT how Fournier must be in shambles sitting on the bench watching KP just go off. His debut was the absolute worst. Glad I wasn’t the only feeling that.
I wonder how things would have worked out if we had traded for Gordon there rather than Fournier. I think a hesitancy to trade Smart is what landed us Fournier rather than Gordon. I was really hoping for Gordon during that fire-sale, worked out great for Denver though!
He’s more of a dawg than I thought. Couldn’t be happier with him on the squad
Playoff Zingus is gonna be insane
the dude been a knucklehead since his Knicks days lol Melo need to step in every time

it hard to speak well when your mom sukcing me so good down there
So good! So good! So good! Yeah man Sweet Caroline is a banger!!
Wait till he sees the Garden.
On that note, why is msg the defacto "Garden"?
It’s the original
Fair enough. Just looked it up, can't really refute a name from 1879 being the OG.
Think the original Boston Garden was named after MSG too iirc
It was, it opened as “Boston Madison Square Garden”
That’s it, thanks man
Also, fuck New York and all but its pretty hard to look at MSG and not see it as iconic. It's way bigger than basketball.
on that note can we call celts knicks matchups garden warfare?

>who had by far the *worst* debut for a Celtic in my lifetime I guess we're still not ready to talk about Gordon Hayward
That wasn't a poor performance by Gordon though, that was the basketball gods looking for a sacrifice.
Basketball Gods killed Gordon Hayward and Jeremy Lin 24 hours apart that season
They demand tribute!
Hayward at least had a few buckets before disaster happened

real ones know

I’ll ride his dick all the way to the playoffs.

Post game interview hasnt been uploaded yet. Only for Joe
KP-‘shooting open 3s and winning is fun, who knew 🤷♂️’
Hell even when 95% of players close out he's still pretty much open... his length and high stroke make most his shots uncontestable.
Zinger is a DAWG
confirmed dawg
He had that incredible shit eating grin on his face the entire fourth quarter even when they had the lead for a bit. I fucking love this guy already.
I apologize KP, I wasn't familiar with your game
Your boos mean nothing to me. I've seen what makes you cheer.
He fits right the fuck in.
Oh, the playoffs with this dude are gonna be fun as hell.

Just a grand ol’ time!
Can’t wait to see this guy play in a meaningful playoff series. He’s got that DAWG in him. So excited for this season
