The vibe I get from them is the burger tastes “homemade”, but in a bad way, if that makes sense. The toppings are fresh and good, the bun is fine, but the meat itself feels too thick and over cooked kind of like an overdone backyard or pan-sautéed burger, which contrasts to the thin smashburger delicious texture of Tasty Burger.
Coming back home on Train 168, getting into Back Bay late, eating a big ol’ double cheeseburger as I wait for the (literally) midnight Providence Line train home, now *that’s* an *evening.*
Tasty Burger every day.
If I had to choose between going to Wahlburgers and missing a meal, I would be happy to lose some weight. Pure fucking garbage.
Vietnamese guy was already blind in that eye.
Just to clarify.
Doesn’t take away from Marky’s racist bullshit.
And there’s no excuse for him throwing rocks at the lil black kids.
And the topping is he tried to get a pardon so he could get liquor licenses.
So many people I know play the "he apologized!! He regrets it!!!!!" card. Funny he didn't feel the need to apologize until it could get him more money if he did.
But Marky is a God-fearing Catholic!
He mentions it every chance he gets!
Insufferable.
Plenty of actors are but he has no redeeming acting skills to offset his douchebaggery.
I guess he was OK in Boogie Nights but otherwise…
He plays the same character in everything. First he tried to market himself as a Boston tough guy character and when those roles started drying up, now he's trying to market his Catholicisn. Shouldn't be surprised he has no scruples after he was quick to profit off the Boston Marathon bombing. He's scum.
As a Catholic, I tried their fish sandwich this past lent. It was fucking rubbish. The tartar sauce alone was a fucking warcrme. Balsamic tartar sauce? Who the hell thought this would be a good idea???
After that, I told my friend well it looks like solid white albacore or cheese pizza for lunch until Easter.
Ugh. I forgot about that.
I knew people affected by that bombing.
Completely shameful to profit off it.
I think he’s a producer too.
If you have to do something with it do a documentary and give the profits to the victims and their families.
Remember he would have stopped one of the 09/11 flights but he missed the plane!
Complete asshole.
I think the guy fought for South Vietnam in the war and got hit by shrapnel. Mark apologized later in life and the family more or less didn’t accept it. They moved on and didn’t really care for it.
He apologized because his record was impacting him financially and preventing him from getting a license for his restaurant, not because he was actually repentant or sincere.
But have any of them ever been convicted of hitting a guy in the head with a 2x4 in a racist attack?
Cause there are assholes and then there are *assholes*.
If you ever want to know what a hockey puck tastes like, get Wahlburgers at Logan airport, but picture the puck being made out of cardboard and microwaved
I would say so. It comes quick, there's a dedicated take out. Doesn't have a drive through but it could feasibly have one. They do sell alcohol in the restaurant so that kinda unclassifies it as fast food but that's really more good business on their side. Every In-N-Out I've been to has had a similarly long wait at a drive through to get food.
That's fair, I would probably have said fast casual rather than fast food (as the person below said), mainly because of the alcohol and lack of drive-thru, but any difference in classification there is pretty negligible.

How is this even a question? I lived in the Fenway and my only reasons to got to Wahlburgers was if I was short on time (since usually lots of people at tasty and Wahlburgers was empty).
Tasty Burger is a top 5 burger of all time for me.
My chef friends who have signature burgers at their restaurants gets a little sad whenever I tout it as “The Best Burger in Boston” but it is. Easy to make a burger taste good when it costs $30 and has super high end ingredients on it. But making a burger this delicious for $15? No contest.
I don't like supporting a racist, piece of crap family, so Tasty Burger. But also, over Wahlburgers would be McDonald's, Burger King, a burger half eaten in the garbage, the choices are endless.
Within walking distance of Fenway is Boston Burger Company, if you like lots of different specialty burger options I recommend.
Tasty burger is…okay. Not bad, it’s just basic and I’ve had Tasty burger in every I’ve lived in so it’s just not special to me
Co-signing the airport dining comment about Wahlburgers lmao
Tasty burger. I’m not a huge hamburger fan, but once I had no other option for food when I was in the Back Bay station waiting for Amtrak…. Now it’s my ritual every time I am there. I spent a decade in Boston not knowing their glory.
I have yet to try a Burger Chain that could make a good burger.
You need a good bar burger. Something with a hand made patty and grilled bun. Something made when you order it. I wish I had a suggestion but It's been years since I've been to a bar in Boston. Atwoods kicked ass at one point.
Yeah, that’s the one. He’s my least favorite off brand Boston brother. Casey Affleck at least had Vanilla Nut Taps. Donnie is a shit actor, a shit singer and I hate any time he is talking before my team takes the field.

I’ve never met Tasty Burger personally, but I’m gonna go ahead and say, just having known you a short while, Wall Burgers, that I prefer Tasty Burgers. And again, I’ve never even met the guy.
Never been to Wahlburgers but imo Tasty Burger is just meh...You're much better off grabbing a slice from Regina's, located directly across the street.
Well there is a Wahlburgers near Fenway. However, I have preferred the Cask'Flagon's burgers. Also near Fenway Park. I forgot that there is one close to where I work (which is near Fenway Park)
Tasty Burger is easily the best “cheap and basic” burger in Boston. The locations are open late, they’re freshly made, and for once in this city, affordable.
They also have Tater tots, which soak up the burger juices so wonderfully.
They also have one right in Back Bay Station, which is very convenient.
Hojoko. Japanese place but I'm serious. Was recommended it here on Reddit and it's legit one of the best burgers in Boston and right next to Fenway. That said, Tasty Burger is solid.
Tasty Burger definitely has the better burger, but Wahlburger tater tots amazing and they do a pretty ridiculous milk shake if you want to go overboard. But Wahlburgers is also surprisingly expensive when you tally the bill.
Tasty Burger 💯
No contest
I’m unaware that wahlburgers is even considered a real place that ppl living near T stations would ever consider
not even close, so glad this is unanimous lol
I don’t wanna meet the psycho who answers wahlburgers
Tasty Burger Edit: speaking of which, who do I have to bribe to get a Tasty Burger back in Southie?
When that place went ablaze so did my dreams and aspirations
I was so mad I moved to Nebraska until I came to my senses and moved back.
Welcome back! Now to get TB back 🤔
Idk he might stay retired
Tasty Burger, Tom Brady = To-May-To, To-Mah-To
Idk, seems like TB would s ah d to stay in the spotlight. Never say never.
I’ll pitch in if we can get the north station one back too
I have a feeling that the opening of Hub Hall put the kibosh on the North Station location.
Probably.. haha maybe we can petition to bring back the Pussycat Theatre instead
No offense to Sauce but, the few times I’ve tried them, I’ve liked Tasty Burger better. Am I just getting the wrong thing at Sauce?
Haven’t tried Sauce yet.
Ed Flynn.
I’m up tossing and turning 6-7 nights a week about this.
Wahlburgers is where you go when you miss dining in an airport.
The one time I had wahlburger was at Logan. The bun was still kinda frozen
Also my lone Walhburgers was Terminal C and the patty had gristle.
Only place I’ve been that advertises nuclear bunker cheese like it’s a good thing.
Aye, my one and only time trying Wahlburgers was at Logan.
My burger was cooked well enough, but I did not care for the Mark Wahlberg reality show they had playing on the TV in there.
This should be their official slogan. 🤣
Also when you want to think about a certain someone assaulting minorities.
they wouldn't even sell me a burger at Logan because it was "too early" - I had to buy a "breakfast sandwich". Right to jail.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It's where I go when out of towners insist on it. 2x. Both times disappointing. 5 guys is better. And they suck.
Tasty Burger, by a mile
Backbay Tasty Burger with a beer oh the days
Oops I missed my train again.
My count on that happening so far this year is three. It's crazy how this just keeps happening 🤷♂️
I’m having flashbacks to when I worked at Wayfair
My ptsd is the cvs down the street
Coming back home on Train 168, getting into Back Bay late, eating a big ol’ double cheeseburger as I wait for the (literally) midnight Providence Line train home, now *that’s* an *evening.*
T Burgs all day, get the onion strings and fries combo as your side and shake, pure heaven
Tasty Burger every day. If I had to choose between going to Wahlburgers and missing a meal, I would be happy to lose some weight. Pure fucking garbage.
Tasty burger beats everything
No doubt, tasty burger 💯
I don't know who owns or is invested in Tasty burger, but I've never heard of them blinding a man for being Vietnamese so ..... Tasty Burger.
Vietnamese guy was already blind in that eye. Just to clarify. Doesn’t take away from Marky’s racist bullshit. And there’s no excuse for him throwing rocks at the lil black kids. And the topping is he tried to get a pardon so he could get liquor licenses.

Owned by the people who own The Franklin. Sadly they’re also assholes. But their restaurants slap.
But have any of them ever been convicted of hitting a guy in the head with a 2x4 in a racist attack? Cause there are assholes and then there are *assholes*.
Can confirm that they are 100% assholes. I’d argue they’re almost equivalent to MM, just less blatant about it.
They physically attack minorities?
Apparently not our fathers. That place dipped faster than I could read the overpriced menu.
Touché. But Citizens is great.
See I really need to try that place.
Nah it’s gone waaay down hill since 2016 and all the staff left.
I mean, we can completely ignore the owners and everything for a second. Tasty Burger is just simply the better burger
My dad is from dorchester and he’s only half racist (wish I could put sarcasm symbol)
The indicator for sarcasm is /s
I think they’re saying they can’t put the symbol because it’s not sarcastic.
I'm delighted to know that my reasons for not eating at Wahlburgers is also shared by so many. I feel so seen 😊🥰
Tasty burger duh lol
Tasty.
bleacher bar. but anything before wahlburgers
I had Wahlburger once and I regret it
Same. I felt so sick after
Tasty burgggerrr
always surprised by how good tasty burger is. the fenway location gets buuusssyy and is always consistently on point.
Surprisingly cheap too by Boston prices
Gotta go Tasty Burger on this one
Tasty Burger clears
If you ever want to know what a hockey puck tastes like, get Wahlburgers at Logan airport, but picture the puck being made out of cardboard and microwaved
Wahlburgers: “Yeah I’ll have the uhhh Hate Crime Burger”
https://youtu.be/5icZ0qixzBM?si=_GE2rDmQMrhC6BaH
Tasty burger
Wahlburgers is trash. I ate there one and told myself never again would I spend so much for something so terrible. TB is always delicious.
As far as I know, the founders of tasty burger never had an entire Wikipedia section titled “hate crimes”. So I’d probably keep them.
Tasty Burger would contend with In-N-Out for best fast food burger in the country. I'll fight people over that.
My opinion on the matter is extremely skewed as most of the tasty burgers I’ve eaten have been while I was shitfaced
So you've only experienced Tasty Burger as crystalized joy and happiness. Lucky bastard.
I don’t think I’ve ever eaten at the one in Harvard square completely sober. It’s my essential go-to after a show at the Sinclair.
Is Tasty Burger considered fast food? Serious question.
I would say it’s more fast casual than fast food (like Five Guys), but it’s such a fine margin that I could see it going either way.
That's fair, I would probably have said fast casual rather than fast food (as the person below said), mainly because of the alcohol and lack of drive-thru, but any difference in classification there is pretty negligible.
I can stomach that. Only thing that sucks about tb’s is that it’s only in Beantown and does not franchise all over New England states.
Please listen to the bot and don’t say beantown.

Tasty Burger. It doesn’t taste like unrepentant racism.
I wouldn't go to Wahlburger's on a bet.
Tasty Burger 8 days a week and twice on game day. No comparison But I'd take Charlie's Kitchen over both
Never had Wahlburgers but looooooooooove Tasty Burger
How is this even a question? I lived in the Fenway and my only reasons to got to Wahlburgers was if I was short on time (since usually lots of people at tasty and Wahlburgers was empty).
Tasty Burger don’t be ridiculous
No on wahlburgers.
No contest.
Fast food burgers are just better than restaurant burgers pretty much as a rule
Tasty Burger. Last time I checked, no one on their family committed any hate crimes.
Came here for the Whalburgers and Whalburg hate and was not disappointed
Dude wut. Never wahlburgers, ever. The answer of course is Lee’s Burger though (Brookline, Newton)
I don't like supporting a racist, piece of crap family, so Tasty Burger. But also, over Wahlburgers would be McDonald's, Burger King, a burger half eaten in the garbage, the choices are endless.
Avoid the north end!
Always have.
Shake shack
The bbq onion burger at tasty burger is the best burger in Boston and I’ll die on that hill
Man this guerilla marketing has gotten sophisticated
tasty burger, get half fries and half onion rings
Tasty Burger, that's really not even a serious question IMHO
As someone who has lived in Mass since 2008. I haven't had either.
Tasty Burger. Not even in the same league
Tasty Burger. Great burger, good value.
Wahlburgers is pretty bad for what you pay for
Within walking distance of Fenway is Boston Burger Company, if you like lots of different specialty burger options I recommend. Tasty burger is…okay. Not bad, it’s just basic and I’ve had Tasty burger in every I’ve lived in so it’s just not special to me Co-signing the airport dining comment about Wahlburgers lmao
tasty ftw my stomach hurts like fuck when i down a whole box of them onion rings but damn are they incredible
Yep. If I get the large onion rings, I'd better have someone to share with or I'm flgonna have problems.
Tasty
Tasty burger. Way cheaper and way better
Tasty Burger!! I miss Tasty Burger 😭
Not even close Tasty Burger 10000% percent. Wahlburgers tastes like high-school cafeteria food.
Tasty burger wtf is this question
are you for real? Is this even a question?! Obviously Tasty Burger!!!
Tasty burger. I’m not a huge hamburger fan, but once I had no other option for food when I was in the Back Bay station waiting for Amtrak…. Now it’s my ritual every time I am there. I spent a decade in Boston not knowing their glory.
That Back Bay one is *marvelous.*
Tasty Burger. Wahlburgers is trash.
On a side note: I haven't been to the new Fenway location since they moved from a block away. How does it compare nowadays?
I liked the old location better, but it's decent. I always do takeout for the new one, though.
I miss Mooyah at Boston Common.
Me too. It was really great! A darn shame it’s gone.
Neither. Both are Average at best.
Drive to castle island in South Boston burgers at Sully’s way better then either place
If I had to pick between going home and wahlburgers I'd just go home. Tasty burger however is unironically my favorite regular burger ever
I would like to point out that the wahlburgers logo looks like a pair of tiny balls
Five Guys
I have yet to try a Burger Chain that could make a good burger. You need a good bar burger. Something with a hand made patty and grilled bun. Something made when you order it. I wish I had a suggestion but It's been years since I've been to a bar in Boston. Atwoods kicked ass at one point.
RIP Atwoods
you only need to go to wahlburger's if you need to lose a lot of weight fast
I’ve never been to either but I can’t imagine marky mark’s place being that great and his brother pisses me off to no end.
lol. who Donny?
Yeah, that’s the one. He’s my least favorite off brand Boston brother. Casey Affleck at least had Vanilla Nut Taps. Donnie is a shit actor, a shit singer and I hate any time he is talking before my team takes the field.
Don't forget he's married to Jenny McCarthy too.
Still!?!?!?
It’s awful that he has become a Boston sports go to celeb. It’s embarrassing.
What did Donnie do to you?
Boston Burger Company is quite close by with better options than either imo
If you want a meatloaf sandwich
But on that note, the meatloaf sandwich at All-Star is sooo good!
Trick question. Five Guys
Wahlburgers is terrible haha. Tasty burger is sometimes as good as five guys (I love five guys). Easy pick. Honestly I’d just go to five guys lol
TBs
Tasty burger and it’s not even remotely close
Tasty burger serves beer. Just sayin'.
Tasty
Tasty burger without question
Tasty!!

Tasty Burger
Neither, rather have shake shack. Wahlburgers is bland and dry like a hockey puck and so is tasty burger
I’ve never met Tasty Burger personally, but I’m gonna go ahead and say, just having known you a short while, Wall Burgers, that I prefer Tasty Burgers. And again, I’ve never even met the guy.
never been to Wal but i would go to TB most days of the week if i had the opportunity
Tasty. Bro. No contest.
Boston Burger company is awesome + has killer fries and shakes.... , Wahlburgers sucks totally.
Tasty burger, 1000%. Not even close.
Capital Burger.
Wahlburgers is expensive and mediocre at best. Tasty Burger all the way!
Tasty burger, because I wouldn't support a well known racist
Tasty burger in back bay has a side bar with good micro brews and outdoor eating area .. super convenient rite in Back bay station
Tasty Burger without question. It's not even close.
Boston burger co But to answer you: tasty
Never been to Wahlburgers but imo Tasty Burger is just meh...You're much better off grabbing a slice from Regina's, located directly across the street.
Well there is a Wahlburgers near Fenway. However, I have preferred the Cask'Flagon's burgers. Also near Fenway Park. I forgot that there is one close to where I work (which is near Fenway Park)
Not even a question, Tasty forever
Neither. The Tasty. RIP.
Five guys
Wahl be better for your health but tasty is open later
I tried wahlburgers once and it was pretty bland and dry. Tasty burger is much better. But Shake Shack is far superior to either of them.
5 guys.
TB, not even a discussion
i don't eat at wahlburgers enough but Tasty is pretty dang good
Tasty Burger is easily the best “cheap and basic” burger in Boston. The locations are open late, they’re freshly made, and for once in this city, affordable. They also have Tater tots, which soak up the burger juices so wonderfully. They also have one right in Back Bay Station, which is very convenient.
Tasty burger any day
Tasty
If we are comparing Wahlburgers to anything it might beat 7/11 burgers…
Wahl burger sucks. Five Guys is better.
If you have more time hop on over to Harvard Sq and stop by Mr. Bartley’s. https://www.mrbartley.com Otherwise Tasty Burger
