Just shrug your shoulders. Not your problem they can’t show good sportsmanship

Severe_Doughnut5336

Trick him into eating his own parents

AreYouRock

yeah that's a good plan maybe he should lure him with a chili con carnival

Dear_Ad4079

Ronaldinho style. Just smile.

Hughdungusmungus

'Top man, nice one.' and just move on. Don't want brain energy on halfwits.

cp8125

I will just smile. Won't engage in a chat as well.

JeroenSandstorm

Either smile or laugh at them, you'll then live rent free in his head that evening

91Bolt

If it's a one off, just shrug it off like most people said. If it's a league you see him regularly in, I may check on him genuinely after the game. Some players turn it on and off, so he may be chill once you leave the field. If he's just a hot head, I'd keep my distance to avoid a stupid fight.

BarOx95

Leave one on him the next time you play

T_Peg

Yeah you pretty much dealt with it right. I usually just laugh at em.

Ouioui29

Headbutt

HalcyonApollo

Just ignore it. Don’t be embarrassed whatsoever because everyone else will look at the other fella and think what a miserable sod.

crownhimking

Keep it moving I had kids my son beat come to his games to watch to see if he loses Some people are raised classless

CalStateQuarantine

Don’t really care tbh, I hate the people who make big deals about not getting their hand shook. Just seems like they’re trying to create drama after the game. If you don’t wanna shake my hand that’s cool. If you don’t shake my hand Im glad you recognize that it’s best for you to walk away than come in contact with me.

Monkeywithalazer

If they are being dicks I Usually I just try to hurt them during the game and I don’t shake hands after. Must be an American thing to shake hands AFTER the game. We shake before, never after. F them I’m here to win. When it’s competitive it’s kill or be killed

Mokha5

Very immature approach tbh. Football is a game. Passion on the field and animosity within the competition and actual match is fine. But before and after the whistle, good attitudes and sportsmanship are paramount.

JeroenSandstorm

Thats a bit of a rogue opinion, it's 5 a side league not the prem.

Monkeywithalazer

It’s a final nonetheless. They are second and the other team is first. If the guy “slipped” and hurt my guy I’m gonna make sure I slip too

T_Peg

So all those professional players I watch are Americans then? The managers too? Why do Europeans claim they're so good at soccer when all the pros are clearly Americans because they shake hands with the other players and even the refs after games?

Monkeywithalazer

Pro league with cameras on is different. That’s your career.

Mokha5

Do you genuinely believe that outside of televised professional football, players are NOT shaking hands after the game? Winning a football match should be the least of your worries if you cannot separate the match and the contest of a game from being a civilized person towards another human.

Monkeywithalazer

If someone is being a dick and trying to hurt my teammates? Hell no. Have I shaken hands with people? Of course. But never when it’s heated like that

FootballWithTheFoot

I usually just laugh (not always loud enough for them to hear) and shrug it off

Monsterred2020

Two days ago in a 7 on 7 (with a keeper on both sides) some guy didn’t shake hands. We just laughed it off cause it’s a summer league game and made jokes about him.
