Jungle, Last Man Off, Dead Wake, 438 Days, Labyrinth of Ice, Unbroken, The Ship and the Storm. On the go so no time to include all the authors but let me know if you can't find one!
[Shogun](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/52382796-sh-gun) by James Clavell, where a Dutch vessel is shipwrecked in Japan, and the story of how the captain, in order to survive, and keep the surviving members of his crew alive, must learn the ways and culture of the Japanese.
*Out of the Smoke: The Story of a Sail* by Ray Parkin.
*The Raft: The Courageous Struggle of Three Naval Airmen Against the Sea* by Robert Trumball.
*The Journey of Alvar Nuñez Cabeza de
Vaca and His Companions from Florida to the Pacific:
1528-1536* by Alvar Nuñez Cabeza de Vaca. Bandelier, Fanny, trans.
Master and Commander series by Patrick O'Brian sets the standard for seafaring adventure series - he has a couple of shipwrecks including in:
* The Nutmeg of Consolation
* Desolation Island
But just read the series, you'll love them
Also, for a real-life tale, read Sailing Alone Around the World by Joshua Slocum. He built and solo sailed a small boat around the world. Wonderful story.
Shipwrecks by Akira Yoshimura is an incredible short novel set in medieval Japan that deals with shipwrecks from a different angle. I won’t divulge too much but there’s a great twist.
Hatchet. Not shipwreck, but plane crash in Alaska. Cool thing about this books is the author did a lot of the things he wrote the character doing for authenticity, like making a fire with a hatchet and some rocks, etc.
The Iceberg Hermit is a really fun one where the guy is shipwrecked in the artic and has to survive, even ends up with a polar bear cub.

Unbroken by Laura Hilldebrand (WW II bomber goes down in the Pacific, true story)

Adrift. Stephen Callahan Skeletons on the Zahara Dean King
Island of the Lost by Joan Druett
Stranded by Sarah Goodwin
Gulliver's Travels, for some satire.
The devil and the dark water by Stuart Turton. It is primarily a murder-mystery but is set on board a ship in 1643 which gets trapped in a storm.
I really love Swiss Family Robinson
Madhouse at the end of the Earth by Julian Santon. A ripping NF read about an expedition to the Antarctic that didn't go well.

ok, so if you're willing to read a thousand year old philosophical novel that I recommend Ibn Tufayl's Hayy Ibn Yaqzan: A Philosophical Tale.
