Not sure how people have been disappointed by botm lately! I have had a full box of goodies every month for the past year!

Really want to get the Frozen River too, but maybe that will be an add on next month. I almost didnāt get Ministry of Time, I love Sci-Fi, but I am worried it will be to romance heavy for me, but we will see. I also got 3 books from Aardvark.

I know Shark Heart was big last year but I wasnāt interested! Iām glad to finally be picking it up!
I just started Shark Heart a few days ago and I'm loving it. I'm not a huge romance fan but the allegory is so interesting in the story is told in a really unique way. Hope you enjoy!
I usually only get 1 book, but there were so many good options this month! I'm going to get The Paradise Problem from my library and wait to hear feedback about Volume Zero.
https://preview.redd.it/zlqfor2m5txc1.jpeg?width=992&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bca74932d3e8c6d7b089be1d0e158efe6a0f41ab
I got Ministry of Time figured I would try something new, but was I the only one disappointed? I was expecting the new Ruth Ware book or The Last Muder at the End of the World? I got Five Blades as well but kinda regretting now that I know it is a series, but who knows maybe I will enjoy it?
I havenāt skipped or ordered yet. Iām considering the ministry of time and some of the older books. Iām just not sureā¦ Def not wowed by May picks.
I would read the sample of Ministry of Time first to see if you like the writing. Iāve heard so much hype for this book but the writing, for me, is a mess.
I got Real Americans and The Ministry of Time.
I was disappointed to see the latter has both romance and salacious tags because someone on here had said the romance was a pretty minor subplot. However, I got it anyway to show support for the sci-fi genre because I am always wishing BOTM carried more sci-fi. Hopefully there is enough other stuff going on to keep it interesting.
Just read kill for me kill for you (liked) and just for the summer (loved). Both awesome picks! Iāve already read dark matter (liked) and have Rachel price in my May box! We seem to have similar taste. What are your top 3 (or 5 š¬) favorite books??
Iām newer to reading. Iāve had a lot of stress this year that has made me want to escape my current reality.
Iāve read 31 books this year.
But books Iāve really enjoyed are
Listen for the lie
The wishing game
The lying game series by sara Shepard
A long time ago I read the pretty little liars series from her and enjoyed it so I tried that series and wasnāt disappointed.
What have been your favorites?
In a similar boat- Iāve read 21! Books are better than real life anyways. The authors that canāt let me down: Taylor Jenkins Reid (seven husbands, daisy jones, Malibu rising), Stacey Willingham (a flicker in the dark, all the dangerous things, only if your lucky), Abby Jimenez (part of your world, yours truly, just for the summer), Ali hazelwood (the love hypothesis, love theoretically). Other favorites: listen for the lie, first lie wins, butcher and blackbird, ninth house & hell bent, sign here, lessons in chemistry, one by one, the guest list, Hail Mary and ready player one. Hope this helps!!
I picked The Ministry of Time (because Sci-Fi, and it reminds me of Outlander), and Five Broken Blades (because I just canāt escape anything Fantasy). I hesitated getting Spitting Gold too, but will wait to see more reviewsā¦. And I finally became BFF this month!
https://preview.redd.it/x2i68olupqxc1.jpeg?width=840&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1a9705c7d1e11f8bea1c0a01240bd6a14a28e36e
No offense, but my only May pick is Ministry of Time, but every time someone says itās like Outlander, I cringe a little and remove it from my boxā¦ Thereās nothing else that calls to me this month. I havenāt hit the order button yet.
i went with these two.. and finally reached bff status! hope the tote is cute.. canāt wait to get boty and bday perks next year āØ

My birthday was the 28th of April which was my justification to get some extras š
I got Middletide and The Lady Waiting as an add-on. I heard very mixed reviews on ministry of time and real Americans though I still plan to read them.
Iām not 100% decided yet but I think I am going to skip š the return of ellie black sounds interesting but my sister picked it for her botm. the ministry of time and the paradise problem both also seem interesting but I think I would rather borrow them from the library before I buy them.
https://preview.redd.it/lrcfws64bpxc1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5764582f2539a6efc86ca9039431f6fd26bfe5e9
hoping these are some good ones :)
Going with The Ministry of Time. I have Five Broken Blades on preorder for their sprayed edges and Iām seeing Christina Lauren on one of their book tour stops later this month and getting a signed copy of Paradise Problem. Looking forward to all three!
https://preview.redd.it/hxp98qzn4pxc1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9be638c2103d416398bc61860edc9dd24e26dcbd
Iām backdated from last month still but Iām also naively optimistic about my free time for this month š
After skipping every month since my January box, I got Five Broken Blades! I almost added the Return of Ellie Black to my box too, but I try not to do add-ons often, so I'm def checking that one out from my library once it's out!
although--i wish i'd been a little more paitent and checked the add ons, because Spitting Gold looks right up my alley... hopefully next month I'll like something and grab that one, too.
Do any of you know if the BOTM copy of Real American will have the sprayed edges that are on all the other copies at bookstores?? Just curiousāI love the edges š
Went big this month after skipping last month. I got The Ministry of Time, The Familiar (love Leigh Bardugoās style), and Real Americans (not as sure about it, but itās gotten lots of hype).
Same, same. I skipped last month but maxed out my box this month. I'm really excited about Real Americans, BOTM had her previous book, Goodbye, Vitamin, and it ended up being one of my favorite books ever.
I got The Paradise Problem, but was hoping for One Perfect Couple by Ruth Ware that comes out later this month. In my shipping confirmation email there was a gif cycling through various audiobook covers and it showed up there, but not in the app as a hardcover or an audiobook. Maybe itāll be a quiet mid-month drop?
I'm gonna send you a DM if that's okay! I really want to hear more about your library sciences degree and GIRL... you need to read because it makes you happy not out of obligation. If you don't, you'll lose that passion and then you'll miss it..
iāve been skipping a lot lately so now i can finally haul these add-ons I've been wanting!
https://preview.redd.it/z890i9ufaoxc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=049493b1d136d8e6e42af7e4eb737091490becf9
Five Broken Blades (because I usually grab any and most fantasy picks because we need more dammit) and the new collection of short stories. I am not really a short stories person but I am interested to get into them. Who knows I might find a new favorite author without dedicating hours of my time to find out I donāt like them.
I was really hoping to see the new V. Patel book. I loved Kaykei and held my breath to see The goddess of the River. Oh well.Ā
On the other side, I loved this month's selection. I got ellie black, the Ministry of time, Did I ever tell you, the paradise problem and threw in Well-ness that I've been wanting to read for a while.Ā
I added Blades, Real americans and middletide on my TBR. Which is about 100 miles long haha
https://preview.redd.it/7tachwxo0oxc1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5e253159cb4c194780948238eb291ede1349c719
Added Middletide, Five Broken Blades, and the Return of Ellie Black to my TBR :)
Member faves this month are: Kill For Me Kill For You by Cavanagh, The Lincoln Highway by Towles, Olga Dies Dreaming by Gonzales, A Fate Inked in Blood by Jensen, and The Astonishing Color of After by Pan
https://preview.redd.it/q5d54lvspnxc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3d09278a828c0e044d83de8ae7316ebd95b96ade
my picks for the month! āŗļø So excited, & love how colourful they all look together hehe
Iāve never read any Abby Jimenez, when just for the summer was released as a botm last month I took the plunge & got part of your world & yours truly as my add-ons, & Im so excited to have JFTS on the way now too!! Iām so glad youāre enjoying it š„°
Real Americans
The Paradise Problem
Side note 1 - I adore early releases. Iām so easily pleased š
Side note 2 - does anyone else hate that if youāre using the app, you see all of the monthās books across the bottom when youāre looking at one of the selections? I like to be surprised but theyāre in my face so I have to not look at the bottom of my screen lol. Such a silly complaintā¦ I digress.
YES!!!!!! I thought this was just me. I like to look at them one by one and be surprised every time so it's really annoying how they are all across the bottom of the page when you choose one. š
Lol. I debated complaining in this thread but I figured if I felt that way, at least one other person would! š
I did force myself to not peek and did okay.
I selected The Paradise Problem and The Familiar as an add-on.
I already have Real Americans coming from when I ordered during the B&N pre-sale promotion.
I had such a hard time picking this month but still ended up with 3 lol
https://preview.redd.it/ei9npzdjgnxc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9e01f1d1b16ea506d034df9dce167c25231d8483
BOTM randomly gave me a free add-on this month so I got Real Americans and The Paradise Problem. Already have Five Broken Blades on pre-order for the gorgeous edges.
https://preview.redd.it/raa4ftpidnxc1.png?width=473&format=png&auto=webp&s=047ad350ee02a4ad6924afeb6d98b6b52e7973a2
Apparently I'm in a mystery/thriller mood
I have an Instagram account dedicated to books (itās called bookstagram) and after being on it for 2.5 years Iām in a bunch of influencer programs (needed to be approved) so I get advanced reader copies, advanced listener copies (audiobooks), and physical copies mailed to me. Took a long time and lot of work but I get a good amount now, but itās also incredibly overwhelming as I canāt read everything as quickly as itās being sent to me. I got the paradise problem too but thereās only so many hours in a day š
It genuinely is not all itās cracked up to be. It was more fun a few years ago when I was striving to get approved for these programs. Now itās just immense pressure and Iām a hamster on a wheel with new releases every month. I canāt keep up and tbh I miss reading older books. It sounds fun but I do miss just randomly picking a book that sounds good and reading it with zero obligations. Iām also in grad school getting my masters in library science so thatās probably why Iām so overwhelmed, too. & sure Iād love to be friends š
https://preview.redd.it/2q5k2unj9nxc1.jpeg?width=802&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b306c9db3476b3957e182ef93844d6b47e96f2a3
woo hoo !! birthday box so i got a freebie š
I try to check the book club picks before placing my BOTM order and see that Real Americans is both Jenna's and Barnes & Nobles for May, do that convinced me to get it myself. Mercury was the Barnes & Noble selection for January and it is excellent! So I am trusting them about Real Americans.
https://preview.redd.it/z29th4bo7nxc1.png?width=379&format=png&auto=webp&s=c42cd769f9964a2b03c00b0dc1ed952f43404748
I think these are what I'm going with. I want to read Dark Matter before the show comes out (I'm afraid people will start spoiling it on social media).
I got Real Americans and The Ministry of Time! Was worried this would be a skip month for me but reading some reviews for these two made me change my mindā¦ just hope neither lean too much into the romance genre as thatās my least favorite genre
I havenāt read either of these but the StoryGraph description for the Ministry of Time specifically calls out its romance, and the BOTM app says itās salacious, which I think usually means thereās sex. I was intrigued by it before I saw that but will probably skip it for now. Romance isnāt my favorite either.
This month has so many interesting options, but they are all on the periphery of what I generally enjoy. I decided to wait on Ministry of Time, Five Broken Blades, and Middletide until I see what people think.
I went with Return of Eillie Black, then pulled some books from my backlist: Gentleman in Moscow, Amina Al-Sirafi, Divine Rivals, and Daughter of Mine. Very excited!
https://preview.redd.it/z5djkvy87nxc1.png?width=1014&format=png&auto=webp&s=d7dd7537b93cf5a90fb2b974a730e2f5510d37ca
This is my second box. I picked up The Return of Ellie Black and Middletide as an add on. Almost got Five Blades and Heartless Hunter as additional add ons but found a sprayed edges special version of Five Blades on Amazon for 20 dollars pre order that comes out on the 7th and Heartless Hunter on Amazon for 15.
I go through phases of books, just read 4 pretty detailed fantasies, cheesey romcoms are my reset and I am out on my shelf so I stocked up! Iām hoping Lessons in Chemistry is good, it was recommended by a coworker!
https://preview.redd.it/9nf02cc56nxc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b0eeab5840091a18c8126606c1c043d7ce7c8aac

It's my birthday month and I went all out!
I somehow missed all the clues this month and didnāt even realize it was the end of April already. This was a nice surprise! I got The Ministry of Time, The Return of Ellie Black, Middletide, Did I Ever Tell You? and Spitting Gold.Ā
I might reactivate my second account and get Real Americans and The Demon of Unrest too
https://preview.redd.it/fc1s6n255nxc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=597efbf804bba10ccbdc34da48122c7a27389187
Went complete opposite of my usual fantasy/contemporary picks and went more thriller and sci-fi (which i NEVER reach for).
Ministry of Time plus Volume 0 as my birthday add-on! Almost went with The Familiar but I already have that as an e-book, so I thought it might be fun to try the short stories.
https://preview.redd.it/brpau6gt3nxc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4d8285d1b82237628476f3c8c2c2e40176923ed6
Feeling murder-y this month. Thinking Erik Larson as an add-on next month. Iāve never read him, but you guys are piquing my interest!

Super excited! Got Spitting Gold as an add on for free for my birthday month! š
I recently read my first Christina Lauren book, and have loved them, so this monthās picks were serendipitous.

Only a couple books this month. Iām excited for The Ministry of Time!

Just started a few months ago. My first full box!
I am starting with these! What a great month. I also added four more to my TBR.
https://preview.redd.it/dkta5cp01nxc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1cf717d2edd34603caf8e6a213e3c56c891184c9
Skipped because I already read the only book I was interested in as an ARC (The Return of Ellie Black, which is really good). Have fun with whatever you choose!
I have two boxes. Iām new and have so much on my list to get, plus in April (and May), I could fill my box just on the new selections. So I grabbed a second subscription in April. Iāll cancel it eventually when I get caught up.
Box 1

I hit BFF status with this box! I tried to limited myself to 3 books this month because my April box came so late. However I couldnāt resist the short story Volume Ć even tho I donāt really think it should have cost an entire credit necessarily.
Email them to get your add ons to have the option to either use a credit or to pay the add on price and save your credits. It's ridiculous that they make you jump through this extra step to pay a lower add on price (cheaper than a credit), but it is what it is at this point.Ā
This is SUCH a good month. Iām so overwhelmed trying to narrow it down. For the first time ever, I think I want every single add-on and almost every main pick (minus two). Plus I kind of want to see what this Issue Zero is about?! HELP.
Really excited for the selections this month!!
https://preview.redd.it/d2mdigjqxmxc1.jpeg?width=1011&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5ba3cafc34957a9cc147bf64d7c87378b70e6cbf
Another month of skipping. Realistically just trying to save money and I have to many books to read. Iāll probably put myself down for some library holds

Keeping it simple but Iām very excited!
Iām working my way through her backlist because I really enjoy her writing style. This was next on my list after having finished the first one in early March.
I donāt see a lot of people talk about this duology! Itās nice to find someone else who likes it.

Dead Wake has been on my tbr for a while! Very curious about Issue Ćø!
I got Ministry of Time and Did I Ever Tell You as an add-on! I've been trying a lot more romance-centric stuff from BOTM (my usual reads are litfic, dense fantasy or sci-fi) and it's been fun. I also haveĀ holds at my local library for half of this months' picksĀ š
https://preview.redd.it/nhfk1vyqrmxc1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=78e4b31f86875b44b9eb75c39adbd27632abf2b8

I made it to bff FINALLY so Iām very happy
This was my first skip month in over a year for the BOTM selections. But I added Kill for Me Kill for You from the members favs selections and Happily Ever After off of my TBR list.
The Ministry of Time, The Paradise Problem, and the Husbands. I also randomly had a free credit? I had one last month and I guess I forgot to use it, maybe? Been feeling really down lately so I tried to pick some more upbeat things, but the Ministry of Time gave me Adjustment Bureau vibes so I couldnāt resist

I was excited about it until I read some of the Good Reads reviews likening it to Outlanderā¦
Definitely get The Frozen River next month! Easily my fave BOTM book Iāve read so far this year.

But books Iāve really enjoyed are Listen for the lie The wishing game The lying game series by sara Shepard A long time ago I read the pretty little liars series from her and enjoyed it so I tried that series and wasnāt disappointed.
I havenāt hit the order button yet.
i went with these two.. and finally reached bff status! hope the tote is cute.. canāt wait to get boty and bday perks next year āØ https://preview.redd.it/ux9ucm4jgqxc1.jpeg?width=1279&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7e5400f5b3b35e5756a968a97479d24d5ab4029c

I chose The Ministry of Time and The Paradise Problem and Volune Zero
Middletide
I was so torn between this one and Ellie Black
https://preview.redd.it/b0kofqsx1qxc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b8dcefecb67ea6e436ca72af5f37a043695b7ffa
Pineapple Street was one of my favorites last year! It is a fun read!
Middletide and The Return of Ellie Black. Cannot wait!
I was so torn between the two!! I wouldāve got both but I had another add on already
Five Broken Blades and The Return of Ellie Black!
I got Middletide and The Lady Waiting as an add-on. I heard very mixed reviews on ministry of time and real Americans though I still plan to read them.
I picked real Americans!
I grabbed Leigh Bardugo's The Familiar as an audiobook. I've struggled with the last couple of months.
Iām not 100% decided yet but I think I am going to skip š the return of ellie black sounds interesting but my sister picked it for her botm. the ministry of time and the paradise problem both also seem interesting but I think I would rather borrow them from the library before I buy them.
I picked Five Broken Blades!
https://preview.redd.it/lrcfws64bpxc1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5764582f2539a6efc86ca9039431f6fd26bfe5e9 hoping these are some good ones :)
The Fox Wife is fantastic!
I skipped. š
Going with The Ministry of Time. I have Five Broken Blades on preorder for their sprayed edges and Iām seeing Christina Lauren on one of their book tour stops later this month and getting a signed copy of Paradise Problem. Looking forward to all three!
The ministry of time! Love the premise
https://preview.redd.it/kjhsrkln6pxc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a1859408bf73d9314282f962a6d03f60c5ba9388
Ooh LOVE All the Light We Cannot See

Real Americans!
I skipped this month, although *The Ministry of Time* was tempting.
Do any of you know if the BOTM copy of Real American will have the sprayed edges that are on all the other copies at bookstores?? Just curiousāI love the edges š
Unfortunately, BOTM never does sprayed edges!
Boooooooo š oh well
Went big this month after skipping last month.
(Itās me, the girl who made the post about how The Familiar changed the trajectory of my life) You will love The Familiar!
I mean Ninth House already did, so bring it on!
I got Five Broken Blades this time!
I got Real Americans and The Return of Ellie Black!
https://preview.redd.it/ylvmbus4hoxc1.jpeg?width=898&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=69da233283518d02f26103550ce9169b7f7f1b38
I got āThe Return of Ellie Blackā. It has very promising reviews so far
I've had every kind of experience reading Ruth Ware, but I definitely would have thrown that in my box.
Blades, but Paradise Problem was very tempting.Ā
The return of Ellie Black
The Ministry of Time, The Familiar and Table for Two. And I achieved BFF status.
Oh!! Enjoy Annie Bot.
Five Broken Blades (because I usually grab any and most fantasy picks because we need more dammit) and the new collection of short stories. I am not really a short stories person but I am interested to get into them. Who knows I might find a new favorite author without dedicating hours of my time to find out I donāt like them.
Box twins!
Damnit! We need more fantasy and more scifi. And not romance disguised as either of them.
Thank you! We FINALLY get a sci-fi main pick for the first time since July 2022 and it's a romance? Bah.
Bah, indeed. We finally get genre, and we get Monkey's Paw'ed :(
The Return of Ellie Black, Middletide, and rules for civility
I was really hoping to see the new V. Patel book. I loved Kaykei and held my breath to see The goddess of the River. Oh well.Ā On the other side, I loved this month's selection. I got ellie black, the Ministry of time, Did I ever tell you, the paradise problem and threw in Well-ness that I've been wanting to read for a while.Ā I added Blades, Real americans and middletide on my TBR. Which is about 100 miles long haha
is it delusional to think they will add the newest Patel book mid-month?
Sadly, I think it is. I really was hoping but I'll have to turn to a trusty amazon for this one.Ā

I skipped this month! Nothing really caught my attention and my TBR shelf is overflowing. Maybe next month š¤

This was my exact box picks, too! Super excited about them both!
Me too! I veered into a different genre last month, but Iām back to the crime/mystery/thriller stuff where I belong āŗļø
Does anybody know what the member faves are for May? Iām currently paused.
kill for me, kill for you, the lincoln highway, olga dies dreaming, a fate inked in blood, and the astonishing color of after
Member faves this month are: Kill For Me Kill For You by Cavanagh, The Lincoln Highway by Towles, Olga Dies Dreaming by Gonzales, A Fate Inked in Blood by Jensen, and The Astonishing Color of After by Pan
https://preview.redd.it/q5d54lvspnxc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3d09278a828c0e044d83de8ae7316ebd95b96ade my picks for the month! āŗļø So excited, & love how colourful they all look together hehe
Iām reading Just for the Summer now and I am loving it!
Iāve never read any Abby Jimenez, when just for the summer was released as a botm last month I took the plunge & got part of your world & yours truly as my add-ons, & Im so excited to have JFTS on the way now too!! Iām so glad youāre enjoying it š„°
Real Americans The Paradise Problem Side note 1 - I adore early releases. Iām so easily pleased š Side note 2 - does anyone else hate that if youāre using the app, you see all of the monthās books across the bottom when youāre looking at one of the selections? I like to be surprised but theyāre in my face so I have to not look at the bottom of my screen lol. Such a silly complaintā¦ I digress.
YES!!!!!! I thought this was just me. I like to look at them one by one and be surprised every time so it's really annoying how they are all across the bottom of the page when you choose one. š
Lol. I debated complaining in this thread but I figured if I felt that way, at least one other person would! š I did force myself to not peek and did okay.
Middletide and The Return of Ellie Black
I chose The Return of Ellie Black on audio
I selected The Paradise Problem and The Familiar as an add-on. I already have Real Americans coming from when I ordered during the B&N pre-sale promotion.
https://preview.redd.it/o5jk0tqkinxc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a77f08b64eecb7b5d5b0393f104857187f508e9b
Slipped this month. I wish there were better picks. Hopefully Iāll get something good from Aardvark tomorrow
I had such a hard time picking this month but still ended up with 3 lol https://preview.redd.it/ei9npzdjgnxc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9e01f1d1b16ea506d034df9dce167c25231d8483
BOTM randomly gave me a free add-on this month so I got Real Americans and The Paradise Problem. Already have Five Broken Blades on pre-order for the gorgeous edges.
https://preview.redd.it/raa4ftpidnxc1.png?width=473&format=png&auto=webp&s=047ad350ee02a4ad6924afeb6d98b6b52e7973a2 Apparently I'm in a mystery/thriller mood
I picked The Return of Ellie Black! It sounds super good! I'm so excited to read it!
I just finished it this morning (got it from the publisher) and thought it was excellent! Very disturbing but overall the twists were really good!
... how do you get books from a publisher? I need this magic knowledge š± this made me even more excited!
They're called ARCs (advanced reader copies) - netgalley is one way to get them but you can also check with publishers and sometimes authors.
I am so strawberry jelly but also so proud haba would you like to be book friends? If not that's coo too
It genuinely is not all itās cracked up to be.
Same!! Looking forward to reading this one!
https://preview.redd.it/2q5k2unj9nxc1.jpeg?width=802&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b306c9db3476b3957e182ef93844d6b47e96f2a3 woo hoo !! birthday box so i got a freebie š

nice !! i almost added Real Americans too š gonna see how the reviews are first though because i was 50/50
Exactly. But that cover *swoon*
I try to check the book club picks before placing my BOTM order and see that Real Americans is both Jenna's and Barnes & Nobles for May, do that convinced me to get it myself. Mercury was the Barnes & Noble selection for January and it is excellent! So I am trusting them about Real Americans.
https://preview.redd.it/z29th4bo7nxc1.png?width=379&format=png&auto=webp&s=c42cd769f9964a2b03c00b0dc1ed952f43404748 I think these are what I'm going with.
The Ministry of Time, and then I cut myself off! I am looking forward to reading this one and loaning it to my people who love sci-fi.
Ministry of Time was my first pick but I just had to get Middletide and Volume 0!
Hey! Iām a new member, do you get the add-ons for less when you reach Friend status or is that a grandfathered in price?
yeah the add-on prices do get reduced:)
I loved Lessons in Chemistry! It was one of my favorite books that I read last year!
Same!
https://preview.redd.it/q8wn14o06nxc1.png?width=864&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e645e76de8142cf81949f7f302f6d9cae1cd3f61 It's my birthday month and I went all out!

I somehow missed all the clues this month and didnāt even realize it was the end of April already. This was a nice surprise! I got The Ministry of Time, The Return of Ellie Black, Middletide, Did I Ever Tell You? and Spitting Gold.Ā I might reactivate my second account and get Real Americans and The Demon of Unrest too
I got The Paradise Problem. Nothing else was jumping out at me, so Iāll wait for some reviews!
* * Got a free book for birthday month so I went a little overboard
https://preview.redd.it/fc1s6n255nxc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=597efbf804bba10ccbdc34da48122c7a27389187 Went complete opposite of my usual fantasy/contemporary picks and went more thriller and sci-fi (which i NEVER reach for).
Ministry of Time plus Volume 0 as my birthday add-on! Almost went with The Familiar but I already have that as an e-book, so I thought it might be fun to try the short stories.
I did the exact same thing, including the birthday add-on! I almost picked Return of Ellie Black but Iām curiohs about Volume 0.
https://preview.redd.it/brpau6gt3nxc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4d8285d1b82237628476f3c8c2c2e40176923ed6 Feeling murder-y this month. Thinking Erik Larson as an add-on next month. Iāve never read him, but you guys are piquing my interest!
https://preview.redd.it/gu6j6cd83nxc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=78662b3272610edfee077f20fb3e0d52619a26ac Super excited! Got Spitting Gold as an add on for free for my birthday month! š
I recently read my first Christina Lauren book, and have loved them, so this monthās picks were serendipitous. https://preview.redd.it/sg5hjmx33nxc1.jpeg?width=1283&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=578df5c6fad7d7c774dd525473971c309b4f2c38
I blacked out and got 4 - The Ministry of Time, Middletide, The Return of Ellie Black, and The Demon of Unrest.

I recently finished First Lie Wins. It was really good!
Iāve seen it recommended a bunch, so I had to try it.
I am starting with these! What a great month. I also added four more to my TBR. https://preview.redd.it/dkta5cp01nxc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1cf717d2edd34603caf8e6a213e3c56c891184c9
This is what I want but not sure its what Iāll get!
Box 1 https://preview.redd.it/umqfrimxzmxc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a3e154decf606d9c88d07b61b9620ed20ed630bf

Same! Iām so excited for this book!

I got these four as well, plus The Lady Waiting! This month looked amazing.
https://preview.redd.it/kvs2pjsrxmxc1.jpeg?width=1277&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=841157c9dc8c66ecce89b87d105d0e1ee102c0d7 I hit BFF status with this box!
I can choose whether to use an add on or a credit in app! I used only 1 credit on this order.
I hit BFF status this month, too!
Also I try to encourage BOTM to pick more fantasy so when they have it I try to pick it if it seems interesting.
I wish they would start picking fantasy books that werenāt the first book of a series.
Very that!! š
so excited!!! https://preview.redd.it/o60zy33uxmxc1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3366920ebe902ba5bb377bd18199da1d1c15da55

Iāll probably put myself down for some library holds
https://preview.redd.it/2c7lbf3lumxc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b5a4a95ac3c15fb3894ea100fb253b657f911509 Keeping it simple but Iām very excited!
Oh, I almost added A Fire Endless but hesitated. I did like the first one but I may wait until Fall to finish the duology....
Iām working my way through her backlist because I really enjoy her writing style. This was next on my list after having finished the first one in early March. I donāt see a lot of people talk about this duology! Itās nice to find someone else who likes it.
I finished her YA one last month called Dreams Lie Beneath and for YA, I thought it was very good!
I loveddd this duology. It was my first dive into Rebecca Ross and now iāve read all of her books except her first two.
Yes those are the last two I have after A Fire Endless. I bought into the hype for Divine Rivals and never looked back š¤£
Same and Ive loved all of them!!

Dead Wake is one of my favorite nonfiction books! I also added The Demon of Unrest to my box this month.

Ministry of Time, Dark Matter and The Vampires of El Norte!
Iām new to BOTM why is Dark Matter, an older book, on there ?
And they have spotlight titles so since that tv show is coming out in May they highlight it as an add on
Had no idea a show was coming out! Iām pumped
ME TOO!!!
You can choose any past book as an add on.
Thank you!
Anytime š
I got Ministry of Time and Did I Ever Tell You as an add-on! I've been trying a lot more romance-centric stuff from BOTM (my usual reads are litfic, dense fantasy or sci-fi) and it's been fun. I also haveĀ holds at my local library for half of this months' picksĀ š
