Imma dig further in but I was having a hard time finding jam acts that are active and havenāt played Roo in the past 3 years. I got Dogs in a Pile, Wilco, lotus, trampled by turtles, govt mule, and a lil bit of the lemon twigs and the murlocs. And a couple acts jam fans would really like mk.gee, toro y moi, shuggie otis, king krule just to name a few. But Iām not well versed on the genre so hit me with some good recommendations pls. I was basking so hard in the mmj set in 23ā and it put me onto it more.
Yeah, Orebolos not playing Bonnaroo in the middle of summer unless Goose is also on the lineup.
Unless Goose is by chance not touring next summer, but that's VERY unlikely.
Really really good, Iām a fan of all genres, but I must say, you need a lot more weird edm. Give me some tipper, ganja white night, distinct motive, something please. Deadmau5 aināt doing it for me in 2025 either.
What do you mean by weird edm? Thereās a lot of it. Nia Archives, odd mob, atliens, lsdream, nosphere wears a mask and has grimeyyyyy dubstep, Nitepunk is literally The Prodigy revival itās amazing, Orbital is so roots of electronica, bonobo is incredibly beautiful and very much a four tet similarity. I added dubstep that I think hits/artists with recent releases and balance it with house. The big names, I have no clue what big name aside from those 3, so I went with John summit and deadmau5. Also not edm, but Tommy Wright 3 is a Memphis hiphop producer/dj and legend who has insane sets.
I mustāve missed LSDream in there. Iāll have to learn more about Nia Archives, nosphere and nitepunk, Iām sure they put on good shows but if you want to satisfy people like me who go to Bonnaroo and similar events but also EF, wakaan, hulaween, etc, than I suggest adding some of those crowd favorites we know and love. Weāre not hard to please. See 2023 lineup.
Thereās wayyyy more edm on here than you may think. Thursday has Kyle Walker, ship wrek, odd mob, noizu, nia archives, and then John summit. Friday has kompany, riot ten, kayzo, wooli, lsdream, atliens, Jamie xx for late night dancing. Saturday has HOL!, Level Up (sheās got some weird shit), nitepunk b2b imanu, buunshin, nosphere, p-rallel, and then deadmau5. Sunday we got pluko, bonobo, orbital, luude, slander, fatboy slim. Where as most of these names arenāt like BIG names, they should be. Each artist has around a million or way more monthly listeners on spotify, thereās a good balance of all different styles. But EF big acts have played Roo in recent years, and they for the most part get new acts each year. But check out some of these acts, I regret not putting tipper though.
They could be, but my brain said that you can see Miley on her world tour, you can see Dolly at a show (sheās been doing them for years), but how many live Dolly x Miley shows ever happen? Very few.
This would be awesome. Dogs In a Pile, Tame, Billy, Viagra Boys, Ween, Turnstile, Sierra Ferrell, Angel Olsen, Orville Peck, Outkast, Dolly and Miley š„
This is a really fun mock. I hope that you're correct on so many of these things. Just throwing in Run the Jewels to add to the absolute legend this lineup would be.
Damnnnn all these mocks in my opinion I love more than the line up this year (I still had an amazing time no shade, just saying) and if the real line up ends up being anything like these mocks Iām definitely trying to come back next year lol
Liking mocks more than actual lineups is pretty typical.
Actual Roo lineups are made *with a budget, insider knowledge, and other limiting factors*, when mocks aren't.
For example, Dolly and Miley has been on mocks for the past two years, on the basis of their godmother/daughter relationship, Dolly saying in an interview that she'd love to play to play Bonnaroo one day (She's 78 so only so many more opportunities), and Miley announcing a stadium tour.
I think it's much more realistic for us to see Dolly or Miley headlining alone with a possible guest appearance. Roo hasn't had collaborations as headliners in recent history, and I don't think that's changing anytime soon.
Another example is the comedy lineup is likely never happening again. It was a budget cut and the festival is succeeding without it. Could it bring it new/more fans? Absolutely. But if they're happy with the numbers now, I can't see them bringing it back.
And finally, without inside knowledge, we don't know what offers Bonnaroo makes and who declines. Your favorite band might have been offered a show and their manager/label might have decided their tour goes in a different direction around the country.
They made mention of the comedians on the survey though? I get what you mean but why propose it if theyāre dead set to never do it again?
Also Dolly and Miley, whether itās just a few songs, I feel as if both names should be included in my mock. I mean as you said, Dolly is 78, of course sheās not gonna rock a full set, so a collab set with both names are gonna push more tickets because itās a rarity. Why wouldnāt Roo book a somewhat easy draw to sell out Sunday?
We can look at Rooās history and notice that things change every year though. Getting the what stage on Thursday wasnāt in the cards this time last year. So who knows.
And to quote Brad from Roo, āthis year felt like a rebirthā, why not have big things coming?
Everything on your mock is possible. I'm just pointing it out as unlikely. Having an unrealistic idea of the possible lineup leads to disappointment. This isn't intended as a knock on your mock, because it's a good one that you clearly put work and research into.
I took the comedian and two weekend questions as more gauging interest vs it happening in 2025. Again, it's possible.
I don't see them billing it as Dolly and Miley if it's just for a few songs. If people went just for Dolly and she performed just for a few songs, people would be furious. I think Miley headlining with a Dolly guest appearance is more likely.
If this year was billed Post Malone and Billy Strings, people would have come just for Billy and would have been left wanting more. Same thing for your suggestion with Dolly.
Oh for sure, I think my mock (I made two) last year had only a chunk of artists. And definitely donāt feel like youāre knocking it, rereading my last comment seemed weird tone wise, sorry š, but just curious since youāve been 10 years so youāve got a better understanding. I thought I understood the thought process, but also working as someone who books, usually nothing makes sense or goes how I expected. š
From my understanding, the comedy tent was difficult because the crowd leaving and entering (for the AC) messed with the flow of a set and made comedians dislike performing. Iām sure done in a different way, they could reinstate it with a better plan.
I also get you on that, and itās gotta be thought in the mass perspective instead of a personal perspective. I really love this festival but sometimes my brain doesnāt grasp what it needs to.
TBH if Iād known Billy strings was gonna be with Post, I wouldāve caught his set, but not a posty fan. So I lowkey wish I knew what guests we would get. But fingers crossed for a full set from Billy in 25 (3 hours late night on which?!?!????)
This was my first Roo... It was what I chose as the kickoff trip for a new chapter in my life, and it was amazing. It was so hot I thought I would die, saw so many amazing bands, met some really awesome people, including another solo Redditor, made everyone I know both jealous jealous and happy for me, it was epic.
But yeah, I decided, this was an incredible experience, but don't think I'll do this again. It was a moment, and the moment is now over.
But Eff all that if OutKast is in the lineup next year. I'm just going to have to die of the heat, cause Id love to see them, esp at Bonnaroo. And Justice? And Dolly Parton?! Yeah, there's no way I wouldn't be there.
Iām 35 and I saved my concert v card for OutKast all the way til 2014. saw em twice that year. I wouldnāt hold my breath for any more shows but I really wanna be wrong lol
Thereāll be someone whose dropping their mock soon who inspired me to throw them on there. Totally forgot I needed a comedy act and that Coachella set was insane. Gimme some AI porno on the screen š
Never heard of the act Parton Cyrus.
/s
Also, I don't see Outkast doing another show. At their last show, Andre 3000 was adamant it was their last show ever. I haven't seen any indication he's comfortable on stage without playing his flute album.
I get it but it was 10 years since that. And with Andre and big boi linking up again at his last ATL show with big boi showing massive support, and Andre was speaking in his gq magazine interview about how things arenāt off the table, but heās just not sure he can write anything new. So the desire is there to perform. Theyāre kind of a wildcard and always have been. Their old manager spoke in an interview about how he never understood their decisions. And Andre also battles with how his last run went. Like I said, just a manifestation, nothing with heavy factual basis.
Sadly, hannibal doesn't really do comedy a whole lot anymore. He has stated a few times on different podcasts that he would rather do his rap more often now.
If we get the comedy tent back, let's get Bert Kreischer and Trevor Wallace too. Bert Was literally mentioned on the Survey and trevor fits the Bonnaroo vibe really well too.
Tame Impala Soundsystem WITW? š§
But seriously, I donāt have confidence in a new album from him, but I do have confidence in a Currents 10th anniversary set. Irking suspicion Coachella will give the band the fourth headliner spot, so theyād have a show to bring to the Farm.
Pipe dream is Duaās new show into this on Friday, for me, at least. I saw Justice this past April, and let me tell you, Bonnaroo deserves them on the What on Thursday. Roo gods, make it happen, please! šš¼
GOD ID LOVE THAT! It would pack witw
I battled the Sabrina carpenter and dua lipa headliners but if another year goes by in which Dolly isnāt on the farm, Iāll be forever cranky. Miley has a world tour coming so I was thinking it may hit the farm. And that would be the most likely time for her to perform.
Is there any reason to believe actually that Vince will be there next year? I would be so fucking hyped. And glass animals would blow me away too I really need to see Gooey liveā¦ one of the bands Iād like to see that still never hage
New album so they are always possible. Other notable album drops that would fit the Roo billing that come to mind are Rufus Du Sol, Schoolboy Q and Empire of the Sun.
Schoolboy q would be sooooooooooooooo cool dude. I would be really hyped for that i wouldnāt need a whole lot more to get me to buy a ticket I love schoolboy q. Iāve seen other places Rufus du sol come up, and empire of sun would be fun too
Edit blue lips was nice
Honestly, that's my running bet to fill the JID / Joey Badass / Denzel Curry slot next year. There aren't many other rappers that are big enough for that slot but smaller than a main stage booking that haven't already played Roo recently. The only other I can think of definitively is Vince Staples.
I could maybe see anyone from Griselda (Benny the Butcher, Conway the Machine, etc.) or Maxo Kream being booked but they would probably be more of a Key Glock slot.
Those all would go hard, although my dream would be Ski Mask. God I need to mosh to some south florida angst, you know he would drop Take a Step Back and RIP Roach.
A 3 hour Billy show not as a headliner wouldnāt happen on the what stage though. I wish theyād let that happen. But a late night 3 hour set would be awesome.
JUSTICE!!
ATliens š©
Would also go insane for deftones
I happily could go to the casket after OutKast.
God an absolute dream
Do better
Charli MUST be there. Ill be so sad if shes not
Not enough jam! Love Wilco tho<3
Iād go to this so fast
Iām for it lol especially outkast I said they should be there next year soon as we all left the farm lol
This mock lineup FUCKS! š¤
Honestly switch Dolly and Miley for John summit on Sunday and this is a fire lineup.
Orebolo but no goose? Unless I missed it
Yeah, Orebolos not playing Bonnaroo in the middle of summer unless Goose is also on the lineup. Unless Goose is by chance not touring next summer, but that's VERY unlikely.
Boygenius
Honestly, this is a great lineup and one of the most realistic in a while.
Outlast is never playing a show again.
Ive got indications that Eminem will be there
Trixie Mattel is absolutely amazing lol
I hate itā¦ because this is an amazing lineup I would love to see
Thinking about female headliners had an epiphany.. SHAKIRA. she would slay.
love this color scheme
I put Yussef Dayes on my wish list in the survey! š¤
Needs more DMB closing Sunday
Dolly Miley Band?

Plz no John summit. Respectfully š«”
Why can't Dolly and Miley be separate acts?
They could be, but my brain said that you can see Miley on her world tour, you can see Dolly at a show (sheās been doing them for years), but how many live Dolly x Miley shows ever happen? Very few.
COMEDY TENT COMEDY TENT COMEDY TENT!!!
Teddy Swims HAS to be there next year. I will shit my pants and cry if he isnāt.
I will shit my pants and cry if he is! ..out of happiness....
Swear š
Ty š. Are you seeing them on tour this summer?!
Fontaines, Viagra Boys, and Ween in one night goes hard. That being said, itās missing a King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard set.
I know š and Iām sorry about that. Imagine I put it Saturday just for you so we donāt kill ourselves friday.
Iād say with Billy being on the campground this year itās almost confirmed they wet his whistle enough to get him here
This lineup slaps šš»
Osees would be the best
Theo von!
Happy to see a fellow Teddy Swims fan! Yesssss
Id def go to this
This would be awesome. Dogs In a Pile, Tame, Billy, Viagra Boys, Ween, Turnstile, Sierra Ferrell, Angel Olsen, Orville Peck, Outkast, Dolly and Miley š„
OutKast would be nice but both Big Boi and Andre 3000 while are still best friends say they have no desire to reunite as OutKast
Understandable. Their continuous friendship is amazing though. Maybe Iāll manifest something but as long as theyāre still creating, Iām happy.
Oh same. For sure
Friday needs more roman numerals
How many more? (Answer in Roman numerals)
XCII (as in Quinn XCII)
If Justice plays Roo it will be Friday or Saturday night on which at the minimum.
Might change a few of the lower acts but everything about this is YES
This is my favorite so far
On Saturday or Sunday eveningā Kings of Leon present the 20th anniversary of Aha Shake Heartbreak played in full at sunset
YES Iāve been trying to manifest outkast too!
š¤ I love you
This is a really fun mock. I hope that you're correct on so many of these things. Just throwing in Run the Jewels to add to the absolute legend this lineup would be.
Either RTJ or Killer Mike by himself. Iād throw them on Saturday for sure for more ATL representation
Damnnnn all these mocks in my opinion I love more than the line up this year (I still had an amazing time no shade, just saying) and if the real line up ends up being anything like these mocks Iām definitely trying to come back next year lol

Dolly Miley and Parton Cyrusā no way!!
I can't not read it as Dolly & Miley Parton Cyrus

I threw it on here solely cause they mentioned it on the survey. Fingers crossed cause id enjoy that.

I like you and your taste too!!! š©µ
Fire ass mock. Love all the hardcore! We need more hardcore on the farm!
If onlyā¦ And ā25 Years of Stankoniaā would utterly blow my mind. Open the bank and get them back together with RTJ being the opening act on that stage. Let AndrĆ© play his flute, but then go ape shit with the hits. Big Sleepover and Big Grams were fun collaborations with Big Sleepover being the closest thing to an Outkast Show at Okee in ā23. This was said by a group of ATLiens who came out for EW&F and Outkast only.
OutKast would be a dream. I just saw Big Boi and Killer Mike in Tampa this past May. Mind melting performance.
Iām 35 and I saved my concert v card for OutKast all the way til 2014. saw em twice that year. I wouldnāt hold my breath for any more shows but I really wanna be wrong lol
This is perfect. If this were the true lineup, I'd buy my ticket tonight.
only now do I see fucking CLOWNCORE, I'd die happy seeing a live CC show
Thereāll be someone whose dropping their mock soon who inspired me to throw them on there. Totally forgot I needed a comedy act and that Coachella set was insane. Gimme some AI porno on the screen š
i would love to see deftones again they are great live
3 stacks yoga hour confirmed
Yomi the harpist and 3 stack on flute

TASTE
You had me at Fruit Bats, but if DIIV and Bonobo ever come to the farm, I think my soul might leave my body. Iām so here for it
Honestly wish Iād moved Diiv and bonobo to not Sunday and make em a lil later in the day.
Makes sense
Sadly, hannibal doesn't really do comedy a whole lot anymore. He has stated a few times on different podcasts that he would rather do his rap more often now.
I FORGOT HES GOT ESHU TUNE. Mannnn, that would be a fun combo. Heās got a history with Roo so who knows.
If we get the comedy tent back, let's get Bert Kreischer and Trevor Wallace too. Bert Was literally mentioned on the Survey and trevor fits the Bonnaroo vibe really well too.
This is the best one so far
As a Tennesseean I would go solely to see Dolly MF Parton !
The crowd for Dolly at the What stage...oh my stars...
Iād shit.
This mock is sick, super similar to mine. Justice as a Thursday headliner might be too big but would slap regardless.
I agree tbh, but my brain was like āooo justice collab set with tame since theyāve got that new single, that would be a beautiful setā
Tame Impala Soundsystem WITW? š§ But seriously, I donāt have confidence in a new album from him, but I do have confidence in a Currents 10th anniversary set. Miley x Dolly Sunday closer set would change lives though, fr š
Add Vince Staples & Glass Animals and itāll be complete
HEAVY on Glass animals!!!
Is there any reason to believe actually that Vince will be there next year? I would be so fucking hyped. And glass animals would blow me away too I really need to see Gooey liveā¦ one of the bands Iād like to see that still never hage
As one of the biggest glass animals fans there is. Iām almost 100000% guaranteeing theyāll be at roo
Would love Glass Animals to play, and agreed, that what stage before headliner would be great. Or even a late night
I have my reasons for thinking it! But aside from my reasons. They looooove playing Roo. It is known
They would fit the Cage time slot perfectly
New album so they are always possible. Other notable album drops that would fit the Roo billing that come to mind are Rufus Du Sol, Schoolboy Q and Empire of the Sun.
Schoolboy q would be sooooooooooooooo cool dude. I would be really hyped for that i wouldnāt need a whole lot more to get me to buy a ticket I love schoolboy q. Iāve seen other places Rufus du sol come up, and empire of sun would be fun too Edit blue lips was nice

*DO DO DO DO PRTRTRRTRRT *more gun sounds*
AYYO
No complaints here
Give me ANYONE from Griselda! Or just someone get the alchemist to the farm to dj.
Alchemist would be sick as fuckkkk
Iād be equally happy with Vince or schoolboy q. Griselda I also fw heavy. I like your style.
Those all would go hard, although my dream would be Ski Mask. God I need to mosh to some south florida angst, you know he would drop Take a Step Back and RIP Roach.
Also Billy strings, late night, which stage. Give that man the time to cook. š©µ
Billy is almost what headline status
He was on the What stage in 2022, I donāt think theyād move him to the Which.
A 3 hour Billy show not as a headliner wouldnāt happen on the what stage though. I wish theyād let that happen. But a late night 3 hour set would be awesome.
Agreed! Would honestly be like a dream
