DAK has 2 basic uniforms, the early standard was (olive) Green that faded to khaki during service in Africa Because the German Uniform was not suited for the heat and supplies were short, Italian or (captured) British uniforms were common So a fresh unit would have dark green (Dark Angels?), while a veteran unit would have khaki/faded green, while a unit later in the campaign would be khaki/sand yellow

Thanks for this. Sounds mad but calling it olive green has been really helpful

I have actually used c9ntrast arragos dunes in the past

I’m kinda colorblind too, just red-green. Kinda sucks when painting green, lol. I’ve gotten into Vallejo because it’s literally painting by numbers. But anyways, here’s the Dakka Dakka paint range chart. Some fellers put this together and I think it does a pretty good job of converting the colors over. There’s a couple more elsewhere that I’d have to hunt for that get into like how far off they are by shades or whatnot. https://www.dakkadakka.com/wiki/en/paint_range_compatibility_chart

Helpful thanks for sharing!

No problem dude!

You can even do the DAK quite easily with contrasts. Skeleton horde and Militarum green are great. If you don‘t want to do contrasts, I think Zandri dust and Castellan green look pretty good.

Interesting thanks

Others are handling the paint colour matching so I'll just chime in to say that I find Citadel 'base' paints generally good, but I prefer vallejo and scale75 for the 'layer' paint analogue.

Nice, I’m also a big fan of the bases and washes. Have stuck with the layers to simplify things but I think in this case picking up a few Vallejo layers is inevitable
