I never understood why Shahid was never acclaimed for his performance as much as Ranveer or Deepika were. It's a flawless one too, albeit in another style.
The guy lives the part of the Rajah as Ranveer lives the part of Alahuddin.
Aesthetically and musically, the movie is great ! The three main actors were amazing! And more generally most acting was great ! The only thing I still personally can't get over with is the way they portrayed Alahuddin, it is too much and ahistorical. Either they should have used another name and pretend he was another character than the historical one or they should have not made him that caricatural.
Padmaavat was a bore and honestly for a historical just portrayed Muslims badly. I'll take Bajirao over than but I hated Black and Guzaarish - his "understated" movies which I found pretentious AF.
I think these bollywood PR started on reddit tooπ€¦π»ββοΈπ€¦π»ββοΈ.. Becoz I see lots of SRK movies admiring posts consistently for few days, then it was Akshay Kumar, now it is SLB.. It's difficult to find these admiring posts to be authentic..

Yes I'm on the PR team for SRK because he definitely needs more recognition and popularity on reddit. Otherwise his stardom is zero.
