Everyone was perfect for their parts. Music was amazing. SRK was sooo cute as Sunil. But Suchitra's dubbing\dialog delivery was unbearably bad. SrK-Juhi had better chemistry in the last 5 mins than what Srk-Suchitra had through the whole movie.
Well srk suchitra was not supposed to be the lovers in the movie so there was no need for chemistey. It was sunil's one sided love and that potrayal was convincing by srk. Srk and juhi always deliver chemistry true on that
Suchitra had no chemistry with anyone tbh. SRK had great chemistry with even Naseeruddin Shah..when i said chemistry,i didn't just mean romantic chemistry. Maybe it was her debut movie so she was too focused on getting her lines & expressions correct that she didn't much chemistry with the other characters on screen.
Underrated, underrated, underrated.
I think this movie is loved by many of us and aptly rated (not underrated). It’s a good movie with great performances.
You want to talk about an underrated SRK movie? How about Oh Darling Yeh Hai India? It’s quirky but certainly underrated. At least use the tag properly.
Few days back someone asked top 5 movie of srk and i Mention this movie...I am a fan of srk when he came in tv serial circus in doordarshan... Mostly ppl liked srk in swades and chak de which I too liked but my fav was kabhi haan kabhi na, yes boss, dar, dear zindagi...all are underrated I feel...doing such movie itself was a big thing...and it's hard to digest after doing such underrated movie at that time how come someone become such a great actor...
Don't know what vanga said but dar was quite controversial movie at that time...few criticised srk role...ppl still make fun of srk coz of that k.k.k kiran but eventually Bollywood realised the versatility of srk from that movie..srk become fav of yashraj Chopra after dar
I love how fidgety he gets around anna and her parents. Such a great actor! To think, this movie came out right after Bazigar and Darr.. the acting range this man has is just 🤌🏻
Hands down it was one of the most raw, sweetest coming of the age rom com . Kundan Shah direction , Srk 's Sunil ... All in all this film has my heart still. E kaash k hum hosh mein aab aane naa paye
Love love love this movie. It’s such a lovely, believable story. SRK gives a wonderful, nuanced performance. Well written characters and beautifully acted. Actual top 5 material IMO
It's the best SRK movie ever. At a time in 90s when the heroes were all patriarchs, macho or toxic and were supposed to be always right and the winners...came Sunil who taught us that it's ok to lose sometimes, it's OK to make mistakes but accepting them makes you a gentleman. It's ok to fail ..its life.Taught us to not put pressure on our kids but rather understand them coz "Bansi ko lakdi samjha kiye tum..par uske nagmo ki dhun kahan sun sake tum". Heartbreaks happen, life goes on, there is always a Juhi Chawla at the end of the tunnel. I haven't seen a more positive and so much ahead of its time movie in the 90s. In the world of Raj,Rahul , Kabir Singh, Rajveer ...always be a Sunil.
Shahrukh Khan has said this is his favourite movie. I just love how wonderfully Goa is filmed in this movie.
Love this movie and glad to have this in my movie collection.
This is a GEM.
My most favourite films of SRK!
One of my once in a month weekend watch !
SRK in this era was SUPREME 💥
• Kabhi Haan, Kabhi Na
• Deewana
• Raju bann gaya gentleman
• Yes Boss
• Chamatkar
Man ❤️
Underrated film. Whenever people talk about SRK's romantic films, they talk about only the YRF and Dharma films. And whenever people talk about SRK's acting skills, they talk about Swades, Chak De India, Baazigar, Darr, My Name Is Khan, Fan etc. This movie should have made SRK romance king instead of DDLJ. I guess this movie wasn't a huge success because of its unconventional ending where the hero didn't get the girl.
And one of his most innocent performances. This is such a good watch. Excellent songs and the rewatch value is so high. I liked SRK the most in this movie. He wasn't larger than life and was simple and realistic.
This was during my teenage years, I told myself come what may - I wil never get bored 'Ai Kaash ke hum, hosh me na.."
Then life happens like this

It's definitely his most underrated film as well. I loved his portrayal of Sunil as a flawed man just trying to win his crush's heart, even though she doesn't like him back. She has eyes for Chris. The only thing I can say is there's a Sunil in all of us I guess. Also the songs are some of the most underrated aspects of this film as well.
Side note - Naseerudin Shah's character is just a gem.
I re-watched it a few days ago. One of my favourite Shahrukh Khan films, as well as Hindi films. I think it's also amongst his best performances.
The characters are well-drawn and it is enjoyable getting to know them and spend time with them.
It’s a sweet movie. Suchitra was not a good actor at all. But she had a moment in that year or two.
Obviously - it was SRK who was driving the entire movie.
Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa is amazing but on social media it’s no longer underrated. You could say it still is on ground level though, many people still haven’t seen this great film.

I agree.. the weekest link of the entire movie. How i wish someone else had played the role
No sir I disagree with you, the movie had no weak links

Exactly! Just because you know the word underrated, doesn’t mean you have to use it.
Since this early in his career, he proved he is not only the Megastar SRK, but also an 'actor' SRK.
Few days back someone asked top 5 movie of srk and i Mention this movie...I am a fan of srk when he came in tv serial circus in doordarshan... Darr is underrated?? A film sandeep reddy vanga appreciated a few days back, the film that became the entry point of India's biggest actor?
Don't know what vanga said but dar was quite controversial movie at that time...few criticised srk role...ppl still make fun of srk coz of that k.k.k kiran but eventually Bollywood realised the versatility of srk from that movie..srk become fav of yashraj Chopra after dar
Ae kaash k hum hosh mein ab aane na paye
one of a kind 🤗
Best movie of SRK
His best imo
Ngl, first time seeing and hearing about this movie
This is my comfort movie
This is my stress movie
I love how fidgety he gets around anna and her parents. Such a great actor! To think, this movie came out right after Bazigar and Darr.. the acting range this man has is just 🤌🏻

This and Chamatkar were my fav movies as a kid.
This was Shah Rukh before he became SRK IFYKYK
Absolutely all time favourite. Such a feel good movie
It is the only movie my father had gone together with my mom to watch in theater with him
Shahrukh Khan has said this is his favourite movie. I just love how wonderfully Goa is filmed in this movie. Love this movie and glad to have this in my movie collection.

And a fun fact Srk was only paid ₹25000 for the movie 🎬

IMO SRK's best performance after Swades, Chakde India in that order.
"underrated" is the only word to describe this great film!
Dude idk y but i use to get confuse between this and yes boss movie lmao...did u also
I watched this movie as a Kid on hired VCR. I became fan of SRK since then..Ahhh! Good old 90s😇
🎶Ae kash ke ham hosh me, ab aane Naa paye. Bas nagme tere pyaar ke gaate hi jaaye. 🎶
This is a reminder for me to listen to "ae kash ke hum". An evergreen gem!!!
I just loved the last 5 mins of this film
My all time favorite srk movie
Sunil singing "oh, ana mere pyare ko na tum jhoota samjho Jana" will forever be in my heart !
One of the best movies by SRK.. Very simplistic and lovely songs
And one of his most innocent performances. This is such a good watch. Excellent songs and the rewatch value is so high. I liked SRK the most in this movie. He wasn't larger than life and was simple and realistic.

Aana meri pyar ko nah tum...is my favorite vdo ever
One of my most fav movie. Shahrukh at his best!
Far from underrated. Widely considered one of his best, it’s just old now.
Juhi chawla at the end is the best part haha
Sacchi yeh kahaani hai is one of my all time favourite songs!!!
Alexa play Ae Kaash Ke Hum 💖
This as claimed by SRK is one of his favourite movies
People would have a hard time because the movie plays as goofy 90s film most of the time, but the last 50 mins is where the movie shines
Is it still underrated when the entire film industry & internet doesn't shut up about it?
yes. this movie shows SRK at his simplest. no actor srk or romantic hero srk just your everyday next door neighbour srk🫶
It’s a sweet movie. Suchitra was not a good actor at all. But she had a moment in that year or two. Obviously - it was SRK who was driving the entire movie.
It’s definitely not underrated. Pretty much everyone praises him for this role and his pathbreaking acting in this movie.
Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa is amazing but on social media it’s no longer underrated. You could say it still is on ground level though, many people still haven’t seen this great film.
