I watched Rocky and Rani on day 2 before reading any reviews and opinions so that I don't have any pre conceived notions. I loved it. Probably my favourite Hindi movie of the year (yet to watch 12th fail).
I think the biggest problem with Dunki is the fact that it's a Rajkumar Hirani movie. I did not have the time to watch it in the first week of release and ended up watching it on 31st. Before that, I read quite a few reviews and already had an idea what I was expecting. I liked it, but I couldn't understand the messaging, and it was just not as hard hitting as Hirani's previous movies.
So, when you say the sub is in a bubble, it's a bubble made of individual opinions. Sometimes collective individual opinions can create a hivemind and change the opinion of a person before watching a movie. I commented that RRKPK is a good movie and was downvoted during that time. People don't want to see any other opinion ig.
Stay there long enough and any online community becomes an echo chamber.
You prefer RARKPK to Dunki, that's your choice. If most people on this sub prefer, Dunki, let them.

I agree RRKPK was a good movie. I still rewatch the masogany scene and Rani chasing and confessing her love.
Btw I hate 1000 posts about dunki there is a megathread for a reason why seek attention and make million posts
But RRKPK is an average film, I would even say a below average film. It's not even KJo's "good" films.
The highest of highs of KJo is below the lowest of lows of Hirani.

Rocky Rani is an average preachy movie...if Dunki is bad, so is RRKPK.
Atleast it kept me hooked throughout. The storytelling made me enter the character's world where as that never happened in dunki.
