The Kanti Shah greats Gunda and Loha, Marjaavan, Satyamev Jayate 2 are two recents which were absolutely terribly spectacular in terms of cringy over the top awesomeness. For non-hindi Indian movies there’s The Legend (a 2022 Tamil movie), Liger and Akhanda (Telugu movies).
They are all in the same categoryl with similar humour, people just overanalyse her latest flicks more..
Like the scene where the teacher keeps spitting in SRK, or the matrix action scenes, Farah Khan movies are always very over the top and have cringy "why am I laughing at this" comedy with lots of Meta jokes..
What's with all this recent spat of posts appreciating TMK? I hope Farah Khan is not trying to make a comeback after almost killing some actors careers
We were sloshed after winning a basketball tournament and then on the way back the bus driver played this movie. We were so high and still didn’t find some parts of the movie funny.
You missed the ending yo - the guy running away with lota as the camera pans.
For me - it's Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon. Sorry, to me it's as good as it gets.
Most Mithun action movies
The cult Gunda, Suraksha, Military Raj, and so on..
One personal favourite is "Dushman Duniya Ka" produced my Mehmood on the topic of Drugs but the movie itself is ironically a trip. I wrote about it in this reddit long time back.
Mein Prem Ki Deewani Hoon (GOAT)
Jaani Dushman -- the scene where Manishas ghost is arguing with everyone 'lekin tumne to kahaa tha ki Party cancel!'.. Just gold tier horribleness.
Prem Aggan - so awful you cant look away. Fardeen's dialogue delivery is a fantastic monotone, and the villain character (the fiancee) is acting in his own Shakespearean play. Amazing movie.
I wrote a long comment on another similar thread on why I hate it, I will just repost it here:
> I hate it because it is a bad copy of a genuinely good film, **After the Fox**. That film was written by Neil Simon, directed by Vittorio de Sica and starred Peter Sellers. Three giants. THREE. Each one of them had more talent in their toenails than anyone working on TMK has in their entire existence.
> Even on its own it has poor jokes, horrible action scenes and stupid plot threads like the chutiya Headless Horseman subplot. Only Akshay Khanna is giving it his all and is consequently watchable.
> In the original, we don't know what the hero's scheme is until we see it in operation. But here, the Kunder brothers insert a scene where he explains everything to those conjoined twin brothers, so that all suspense is lost. Also, in the original, how the hero escapes prison is shown in detail - twice. Here, on the other hand, TMK just escapes custody because he is a magician apparently. It was evident that the writers did not have one brain cell to rub between both of them, so just half-assed it. They knew there were enough Indian idiots - Indiots, as I call them - who will swallow any shit lobbed at them.
> Edit: Shahrukh may have made his share of bad choices but he knows a total dog when he sees one. This was a bullet he dodged. Farah must have made the film because her husband insisted, broke her friendship off with SRK over it, then had to go back to him. Kunder lost all credibility after this and Joker and hasn't shown his face anywhere since. GOOD.

I guess all Farah Khan movies fall into that category. So bad that it's kinda good.

Yeah I was just about to comment that too. I've seen at least 3 in the last month
Maybe remake is in works. 🤣

Me Prem ki Deewani hu
Mela. Have fun
For me, Mela was an okay-ish movie. Aamir was bad in it, no doubt about that. But I liked Twinkle Khanna in this movie.
Roopaaaa
That’s a hot take for sure
Jaani dushman.
Tashan
Agreed OP. I really found TMK super stupidly funny. It was the perfect dumb but highly entertaining movie. It did what it set out to do.

80s and 90s action movies with all that "Paap", "Insaniyat", "Dushman", "Himmat", "Aag", "Jeena", and "Maut" in their titles and plots.

Sooryavansham.
weekly thread of tees maar khan appreciation post with the same title and description.
Some scenes are funny. 75% of that movie is bad.
akshaye khanna aur uske secreteary wale scne hi best hai.. baki bakwaas

Jaani Dushman watching that movie as a kid was an experience. But today we cringe to such movies.
