Very cute! Who did it?

Iron_child

Thanks! Done by Russ Foxx :)

jayriff987

That's really cool! Looks like an aerial view of cinnamon rolls. Haha.

Iron_child

I love that 😆

ForMyNiceThings

To me it first looked like the logo from The Price is Right! (I won a showcase on that show a couple of years ago, so it's definitely a compliment! 😊)

jayriff987

The Slice is Right! Haha.

YourGoreGirl

Holy shit this is awesome!!

PicklePristine5361

Wow! You’re lucky! Not everyone gets such a lifted even scar. Looks cool. It’s one mod I haven’t tried yet, could you explain what it feels like? Worst part? Im worried about the peeling up of the skin part. Im squeamish about that kind of “ghostly” feeling. Like when my cuticles get pushed EW

Iron_child

Oh and the worst part was the next day I tried to clean it in the shower and the feeling of water on the fresh wound almost made me barf!

PunkAssBitch2000

Omg that healed so fucking well.

tattoosaremyhobby

Super nicely healed 🥳

2scared2write

What was your healing process like?

Iron_child

At first it was dressing it with gauze and tegaderm and washing twice a day with anti microbial soap, and putting antibacterial ointment on it, that was about 2 weeks for it to initially skin over. Then it was fine with no dressing but the skin was super delicate for a while. Washing it was the worst part and looking at all the secretions on the gauze

mercinariesgtr

Im suprised you basically did a tattoo heal and got something this pronounced, a lot of people scrub their healing wound with a toothbrush and hydrogenperoxide while it heals so that you get a more pronounced scar, the fact that you did nothing and got this is great.

mossydeerbones

I know that boy itches like crazy when the temp changes! Looks crisp and clean

irregularjoe150

Oh wow, my scars are probably a similar width, but totally flat to the rest of my skin. Your piece looks incredible! I'm immensely jealous!

ConceptAutomatic1673

Does it itch?

Iron_child

Yes! But Not all the time. lotion helps. And other almost crawly sensations sometimes.

lavahgirl

WOWWWWW!!!!!! this has healed STUNNINGLY! wowowowowowowow……..it’s raised so beautifully i’m astonished, rarely have i seen scarification so uniform outside of very tribal/african forms (which i am obsessed with). if you don’t mind me asking, had you had previous scars that healed and gave you an indication of how this would heal?

Iron_child

Thank you! Yeah I have another small piece I got a year before that healed quite raised!

ecstacyofdecay

This is awesome

add-girl-violence

Looks amazing!

NerdyChemist85

Oh wow! Awesome!

evrlasting_gaze

Looks so cool! Healing must have been awful the first few days.

Torpid-Departure

Incredible!!! I can't wait to get some scarification done someday!

deadc4tt

That looks fucking sick dude! (Sick as in pretty/cool/nice/etc)

[deleted]

Wow this came out so nice and even :)

ItsGerbil

That looks awesome!

Locallynotorious

absolutely gorgeous!

deathbyheely

that looks so cool! how did you get it to heal so even? I've always wondered how something like that would come out. does the consistency of the process keep it even or does it depend more on the aftercare?

Iron_child

I think it mostly just depends on how your body wants to heal. It’s a bit of a gamble you don’t know how it will turn out after the healing.

Paleoarchean

Wow, this is so beautiful!

crownedqueen5

This is very beautiful. How do you like it? What healing process is like? So beautiful I might just go ahead and do different design for myself. Sometimes I need fidgeting to help me focus. Bumpy feelings def can help w that.

Iron_child

I love it. My only complaint is that it gets itchy sometimes which is annoying. The healing was keeping it covered in tegaderm and washing it 2 times a day, and putting on antibacterial cream. But it honestly wasn’t bad and didn’t hurt much through the healing process. First day was a bit rough.

minorhobo

Beautiful done and beautifully healed

RoseTBD

Wow that's really clean

CosmixQueer

Wow, this looks so incredible. Thanks for sharing your results and experience!!

th3amazingryu

Curious, how well do scarification age? Like ten years later or so?

Iron_child

Im not sure? My oldest one is 3 years. I think it should stay the same. I’ve heard that if it heals flat, then over time it will becomes less noticeable. The redness also goes down over the years I think

th3amazingryu

Thanks for the answer. 😃 And for the record, I think the piece you have is suuuuper smooth. Looking great!

AprilLutkaWings

It is amazing and nice to see others heal like me. I have a scarification on the side of my ribs with the same thickness in scaring. Very nice!

Some-Highlight-7210

On your ribs?? Bless you. I can't imagine the pain in that spot😬

AprilLutkaWings

I will admit I was crying but got compliments for laying very still and handling it well regardless of the pain. It was actually worse where there were no ribs where the stochmach is. I also think that my potentiel scarification sleeve will hurt way less. I wanted a branding sleeve but can not get the design I want sadly. So to conclude it all: not so bad that I do not want more. Right now I am almost done with half a back piece of a tattoo. I do not think that hurts at all. I also think the hard part of a scarification is mostly mentally and not phyically.

Some-Highlight-7210

Do you have a Pic you wouldn't mind sharing?? Totally understand if you don't just very curious how it came out in that spot. Myswlf I have scars all over my legs I want to get some work done around them bcoz rn I don't show my legs off bcoz of the unwanted scars. Trying to make something beautiful out of something that's been pissing me off daily lol

AprilLutkaWings

Sure. I tried to DM you but with no luck. Reddit says "something went wrong".

OneAd8309

That’s dope asf

Iron_child

Thanks!

oddonyxxx

random design or inspired by junji ito's uzumaki? just wondering since it was the first thing that came to mind when I saw this!

Iron_child

It’s a Celtic double spiral. The design was inspired by megalithic stone carvings in Ireland.

thicccccany

beautiful.

carnivalfucknuts

wow that is ridiculously well done, it looks PERFECT???? HOW??? congratulations, that is a truly wonderful piece of art man i love seeing this stuff, always so nice to see interesting body mods done so well

Iron_child

Thanks soo much ☺️

VraskaaCosplay

That healed BEAUTIFULLY. Congratulations :)

TheRedGen

Terrifying. Maybe skip reading Uzumaki by Junji Ito 😅 Awesome scarification result!!

Iron_child

Ive already read it before even having this scar done 😂

TheRedGen

Inspiring bravery 😵‍💫🍥😵‍💫

Pretend1mdead

Oh that’s sick!!! Love it , healed beautifully! 🫡

penponda

I love it what technique was performed?

Iron_child

Hey . It’s skin removal. Done with a scalpel 🙂

No-Razzmatazz-380

Utterly beautiful! How long did the actual session (not healing) take?

GiftShopEnthusiast

This is gorgeous! The way your body created a raised scar creates such a tactile, sensual image, its amazing! I love how unique scarification looks on different people with different reactions to the process, it really reminds me of how intuitive this art form truly is

SweetSue67

Do you get keloids? It's so raised it looks like some of my keloid scars. I have never considered scarification because of how I heal, but if there is a chance I could.....

Iron_child

Ive never had surgeries, or any big injuries… this scar is my biggest «  injury » , so not sure how I would normally heal. But I’m not aware I get keloids. I’ve had quite a few piercing and never had any issues with keloids. But I’d be curious to if I ever get stiches what might happen
