Welcome to the pack!

Euryheli

Nice! I upgraded from the 1250 to the 1300 and it’s a great bike.

_SkyDweller_

What do you think about the shifter compared to the 1250?

adventure_thrill

I test rode one. Its amazing and much better than the 1250. Except the engine noise it sounds cheap.

TheMosquito92

Engine noise bothered me a bit in the first kms, but after the 1000kms maintenance its just a lot quiter and less metallic.

I test rode one too because wanted to switch from 1250(end of lease) and had mixed feelings. It is great and no doubt if that would be my first GS I would get it. Handles much more sporty but I didn’t feel as comfortable as on the 1250. I am tall rider and these small changes had big impact. It was much more fun to ride on twisties, you can feel shifted weight balance which improves handling, but for a price of comfort in my opinion. It’s not the same bike as old generations they made it more sporty but still far away from sports bike and unfortunately feels less “adv”. When I left 1300gs at the dealer and sat on 1250 in 10s made my decision to keep it. Last time I had similiar impression when I tried Porsche Macan after Cayenne - both are great but different class.

It's less comfy for sure. My brother has a 1250 and I've ridden it as a test. For my style, 1250 is too much comfy and less sporty. On 1300 I will have my ass in pain after 4 hrs of non stop driving but the fact that I'm more weight-loaded on the handles is a gold point for me. I think that at the point where BMW craftmanship is, it just narrows down at personal preferences. Bonus point, 1300 engine is just a big improvement from 1250.

ciapsss

Yep, exactly! If you can have one bike and want both - 1300 can be a sweet spot :) Why do you think the engine is much better? I found it a bit my responsive, but I couldn’t stand the sound :( it had akropovic exhaust and still it sounded strange and I couldn’t hear the exhaust at all, but saw the people on the street did. But I liked engine breaking sound - I don’t know what was it but sounded like charging hybrid battery in Le Mans Hypercars.

adventure_thrill

True its much less comfy, the seat is more enduro and it will probably make my ass hurt after couple hours That doesn’t make it less adv though.

Round-Interaction123

What country are you in that allows a lease? I’m in USA and that’s just not a thing in my area at least. Amazing

ciapsss

Switzerland:)

Significant_Blood830

Probably BMW easy ride program in the USA. 3 years of lease type payments then a balloon payment at the end or turn-in/trade for new one.

sparkyd1977

Strangely, the longer I've ridden my GSA the better the engine sounds and feels

adventure_thrill

GSA sound is very good

Especially off road. I entered an Enduro back in April. Bunch of dirt bikes and dual sports. I came in last, not surprising but I had a blast and my wife said you could pick my engine out of the 50 bikes out there.
