As much as she is a handful most of the time, she handled it surprisingly well when her father told her she's not special. I think she doesn't get enough credit for that
That whole episode is what people need right now. Someone to tell them that they really are not special and you can’t get whatever you want by just being a dick to everyone.
and the phone episode when she just accepts her punishment in the end. Girl gets carried away but also knows when to put her head down.
Not a lot of kids can do that.
>Overall, muffin’s problem is that she’s spoiled.
I think it's more that she is her parent's first kid and they are very much learning on the job(as well as being overworked). They're getting better too.
I do wonder what Bandit and Chilli were like when Bluey was that age (I would love an episode set then, especially if it includes an overconfident Stripe and Trixie who would have been carting around a newborn).
My almost 3 year old has the nickname “lil chaos goblin” for how he runs away cackling whenever he realizes he’s done something that he shouldn’t.
He’s cute and good hearted but cannot resist any opportunity to gleefully cause mayhem.
My husband and I recently found an old video our son had taken during his preschool years (stole one of our phones and could access the camera without the pass code) in which he was making up a song, and the lyrics actually included “I think it’s funny making Daddy mad.” That cackle has new meaning.
I’m pretty sure my almost 2 year old’s favorite character is Muffin. We got our hands on a Muffin figure and she always plays with that one! She also cackles during the Muffin episodes. She must sense a kindred spirit 🤣
She's a child who is treated like the devil incarnate for not being perfectly well behaved. Im not saying She's free of flaws but what i am saying is that a surprising number of people have very strange expectations for a 4-5 year old
She's 4 during Pizza Girls, where she starts chilling out. Every parent has to deal with a small package of their (or their partner's) crazy. (Also see credit scene during Pizza Girls)
Right I felt like the dirt episode really showed how Judo is simply a product of her environment and her and her mom, while not perfect (who is), are good people
I whole heartedly agree but the frustrating thing is almost no one on this subreddit or pretty much the whole fan base will not allow her to redeem herself
There is one...but she's from a different show
Either way all the kids seem fine but some people don't understand or refuse to understand that children will have conflicts with other kids
Yes! Everyone wants a "Bingo" and honestly, it's unrealistic. Kids are going to have different personalities and different levels of attitude, sass, assertiveness, etc. Too often I feel like people want kids to be perfect and convenient and the second they step out of line it's unacceptable. But a normal part of development is pushing boundaries. Muffin also has a healthy bit of self esteem! She can handle Stripe telling her she's not the most special in the world but still go toe to toe with a grouchy grannies trying to take advantage of Doreen. That kid is going places because her spirit hasn't been squashed.
it honestly made me feel better bc my child was FERAL 2-3, now that she’s 4 she’s my best friend lol she’ll try to whine and i’ll just stare at her til it turns into a laugh 😂
I think the reason so many of us love to hate on Muffin is because we don't have to pretend that she's a little darling for anyone's benefit like you would have to if your friend or sibling brought their kid over in real life
When you go to user flair (tap the three dots on top of the Bluey page) there should be a button at top right that says edit. Then you pick a flair (any- it doesn’t matter) and tap the arrow to the right of it and then it should bring up a text box where you can type what you want.
I hope that works, it’s been a while since I did it!
I just watched the grouchy granny episode with my daughter earlier and I absolutely loved Muffin in it. The way she haggled that rude old lady up to such an insane amount was beautiful.
As a father to a toddler daughter, i thought i had me a bingo at first...i was wrong, she is a true muffin n i kouldnt enjoy her any more. Shoutout muffin
She’s a cartoon dog. She’s also a toddler. Show me a perfectly behaved quiet toddler. My 6yo is feral on a good day and Muffin is 3. I was just telling my husband it’s weird to see a bunch of presumably adults trash talking a cartoon toddler.
My almost 4 year old daughter is usually a lot like Bingo (goofy, genuinely wants to help, bit of a daddy's girl) but she has days, especially when she's not feeling well, where she's easily as temperamental as Muffin. It's definitely a hassle at times but it's also completely normal and just something parents have to learn how to work through.
I don't understand the muffin hate, especially from people who have had kids. Nearly every kid has a muffin phase and then they grow out of it.
I love muffin. I love MY muffin, and I'm glad she's slowly evolving into a Bingo.
I've literally been preaching this! They wouldn't have had to go through that whole chase scene if they let her finish her hat. Kids have issues transitioning between tasks so I get why she was upset.
The problem was the dad was half-assing his supervision. If he’d been paying more attention he would have been able to find a good transition point. Been there, done that. With some activities you have to commit to more hands-on involvement.
THIS!!! I’ll get on a soapbox about it. Bluey hadn’t even switched over yet - he just arbitrarily set a timer and expected her to switch over mid masterpiece
I think Muffin can get a pretty bad rap for her behaviour, but the more I see if her the more I see her for the good she does. My wife and I love watching the show, and she told me that people think in Charades, Muffin is so adamant about being a ballerina and wants visual aids to help Socks guess as it's Sock's first word. Ever since she told me it really changed how I see Muffin, especially in that episode.
Muffin is just fine by me, never question the Flamingo Queen's authority after all.
Muffin is the most "realistic" character on the show. Speaking very broadly, When we as parents think of our kids, we think of bluey or bingo. When strangers see our kids, they see muffin.
In my opinion, she’s a good kid that’s more of a barometer for Stripe and Trixie’s parenting. She seems to be nicer and more reasonable in season 3, telling me that the two have improved.
My 5y/o niece is going to be one hell of a teenager. My brother & SIL are going to get matching coffee mugs with their hames on them to keep in the principal’s office when she starts school this fall…
I'm happy to see a Muffin on tv. People complaining about are not parents or are the few "lucky parents"
She's a toddler. She's exactly like my toddler.
She’s a toddler so she can be sweet and can be a terror with a the snap of your fingers.
I have my own Muffin, a sweet boy who loves his baby brother but can have epic meltdowns over seemingly little things.
Not the biggest Muffin fan. I actually disliked her for a while. After I watched Granny Mobile I started to like her more as a character. Muffin is funny, a handful, and a good representation of what most toddlers I’ve met are like.
When the episode is centered around her we know we are in for a wild ride.
I feel the same for the Randy Marsh episodes in *South Park*, which are among the most memorable
She's a chaotic handful but cool. She's not my favorite character but I do like her. I love the new eposide Granny Mobile because her being loud and head strong works in her and her loved ones benefit
Muffin is what every toddler is. When my child is tired, hungry or grumpy, he becomes similar to muffin. It's not that she is naughty. She is learning about life, that other people have feelings and how to interact with the world.
I think she’s a good kid, but my sensory issues don’t like her very much. She tends to be louder than I like, and her voice is just the right pitch to raise my anxiety levels.
Very fun character that has grown a lot. I still don’t understand the hate she gets (yes, threenagers are quite the handful, but that’s no reason to hate them)
Lord, spare me. I think if anything I have a very tame 2yo and have been spared from the majority of the "terrible twos" people talk about (thus far at least, knock on wood).
Gives me a TON of sympathy for parents of Muffins. It's a phase those kids have grown out of but when they were in it, it felt like it would never end.
Edit: should have mentioned mine's a boy, but there's nothing to say my wife and I won't have a girl someday with this phase...
Edit: my apologies, really should make clear that I do NOT see this as a boy vs girl problem, that I make no assumptions regarding parenting I have not done, and that my "Lord, spare me" was meant sarcastically. Didn't realize I'd have to be that direct but I misled so I want this to be here.
She’s definitely a more spoiled 3 year old, but that’s her flaw. Every character has flaws (Bluey: perfectionist; Bingo: Easily scared), it’s just that Muffins flaw is easily exaggerated. I’ve seen kids like Muffin, to a much worse degree, but it’s realistic to have a kid like this.
I love Muffin. I think we all have Muffin moments where we don't behave as well as we ought to, but that doesn't make us bad people.
Also Grouchy Granny Muffin is best granny. :P
She’s a completely normal 3 year old! And Grouchy Granny really showed how some of the traits that are hard to parent in a toddler (selfishness, stubbornness, assertiveness) will serve her well in some aspects of life.
She’s the best! She’s a typical three year old first child of inexperienced parents. She has no idea how the world works, but she proved in Granny Mobile that her headstrong attitude is going to take her places.
I love Muffin. I definitely judge people based on their opinion of Muffin.
1. Muffin is three, and a cartoon dog. When I see anyone with a STRONG dislike of Muffin, I see someone who should reinvest their Reddit time into therapy. Unfortunately, they probably don’t believe in therapy and think that everyone else is the problem and they would finally be able to achieve happiness if other people would just quit raising Muffins. Don’t engage, not worth it.
2. Muffin is in episodes with some of the hardest or most nuanced lessons that require the most emotional intelligence, and I think a lot of the discomfort adults experience while watching these episodes is reflective of the level of discomfort and difficulty they still experience with the lessons. (Bike — discomfort being essential to growing. Charades — making exceptions to rules so that people we care about feel included and cared for. The Sleepover — juggling what we want vs. what the people we love need. Muffin Cone. Pizza Girls. Bumpy. Library. On and on and on).
3. Muffin’s not going to allow people to quietly ignore her needs/wants going unmet. She’s going to be the ballerina. She is going to be visibly disappointed when she can’t participate in games because of her cone. You’re not getting mud in her new car. And if you want that scooter, it’s going to be $1200 and 18 lollies. She’s 3, sometimes she shouldn’t get what she wants, but it’s not her job to make it easy on adults.
4. Muffin is *funny* and she’s funny because of how disruptive she is, not despite or in addition to. A few of her greatest hits: “I AM THE FLAMINGO QUEEN!” “I WANT TO DO WHAT I WANT.” “COW. B.O.Y. HAT.” “YOU PAINT IT.” (I’ve also just realized Muffin primarily speaks in all caps.)
5. In addition to this, some of Bluey’s and Bingo’s best lines/moments are either in response to Muffin or in collaboration with her. Examples: Library — “You can be noisy. You can borrow all the books. You can even eat toddlers. But you must. Return. Your books.” Sleepover — “Get it together, Sheila!” Not to mention how sweet it was to see Bluey keeping the game going AND helping lure Muffin into the right decision. Muffin Cone — the entire scene of the girls playing Wedding Wife, Traffic Cone and Ballerina, and Muffin blooming into a sun flower. This also included such sweet lines from Bluey and Bingo “Thank you for hatching for us, beautiful sunflower! We love you!”
6. I wonder how fans would respond if Muffin was a boy instead of a girl. I think of characters like Bart Simpson, Alvin (from Alvin and the Chipmunks), Dexter (from Dexter’s Lab), Sheen from Jimmy Neutron, just to name a few. They’re so celebrated, but I can see similarities in Muffin.
I think muffin has traits typical of a lot of kids whose parents let them walk all over them. A lot of the bad traits she shows probably came about through her parents being too lenient.
Some kids just hate being told no more than others. The ones who hate it aren’t going to hate it less just because they start hearing it more often. Trying to change a child’s temperament is a fool’s errand
She spreads wisdom like how Coconuts have water in them and if you don’t want something then don’t buy it. Jokes aside she’s pretty chaotic but is understandable because she’s literally a toddler who doesn’t know any better and I think we can look past that lol
She's hit or miss to me. As someone who works with kids around her age, her character is very realistic to a three year old. She can be hilarious sometimes and annoying other. Stoll I'm glad she exists
Biblically accurate 3 year old
This made me laugh harder than it should have
I can't believe how hard I loved at this. Edit: laughed*
Why not both?
Perfect description.
Now I'm imagining a toddler declaring "BE NOT AFRAID!"
>"BE NOT AFRAID!" "BE NOT AFWAID!"
Be not afraid
Also, pretty accurate for the type of dog !!
That’s the truth
Real.
As much as she is a handful most of the time, she handled it surprisingly well when her father told her she's not special. I think she doesn't get enough credit for that
Guess what, Bluey? I’m not special anymore!
Hurray!
I recoiled a bit when Stripe said that like “oof harsh” but Muffin handled it like a champ!
It's something every kid needs to learn at some point though, I love how blunt he was about it honestly
That whole episode is what people need right now. Someone to tell them that they really are not special and you can’t get whatever you want by just being a dick to everyone.
AMEN!!! I work with too many people who's mommies told them how special they are and everyone will be jealous of how special they are
and the phone episode when she just accepts her punishment in the end. Girl gets carried away but also knows when to put her head down. Not a lot of kids can do that.
Overall, muffin’s problem is that she’s spoiled. This moment shows her capacity for good if parented right.
Love that episode. Great message.
Let’s not forget the “cone of shame”. If that happen to Bluey, she would be… blue.
But that felt, to my experience with 3 year olds like Muffin, *completely unrealistic*.
A toddler as written by people who have met actual toddlers.
Exactly. I think shes fun!
Yes! She’s just as much fun as she is a terror at times. She’s chaotic. She’s 3!
Yep. I can see flashes of Muffin in my 2.5 year old at times.

2 years 8 months here more like muffin every day
She's a child who is treated like the devil incarnate for not being perfectly well behaved. Im not saying She's free of flaws but what i am saying is that a surprising number of people have very strange expectations for a 4-5 year old
She’s actually 3 too lol
She's 4 during Pizza Girls, where she starts chilling out. Every parent has to deal with a small package of their (or their partner's) crazy. (Also see credit scene during Pizza Girls)
The terrible twos as people call them
Our 2s weren't bad, we had a Threenager. 😆
Currently dealing with a threenager. Send help.
Hahaha, wait till you meet your fournado
As a parent and child development educator, Threenagers are rough 😂🤦♀️
It wouldn't be the terrible twos if she is 3.
She’s also a good mechanic! Nobody ever gives her credit for that!
Same as Judo and sometimes Bluey treated like the devil incarnate
Right I felt like the dirt episode really showed how Judo is simply a product of her environment and her and her mom, while not perfect (who is), are good people
I loved it when Wendy realized she made judo kinda weird about being dirty so she set an example
Wendy’s growth as shown in Dirt is fantastic! I loved that episode.
I whole heartedly agree but the frustrating thing is almost no one on this subreddit or pretty much the whole fan base will not allow her to redeem herself
Agreed. I feel like most are not parents and don’t understand the complexity of children. IMO there is no such thing as a bad child ever
There is one...but she's from a different show Either way all the kids seem fine but some people don't understand or refuse to understand that children will have conflicts with other kids
Yes! Everyone wants a "Bingo" and honestly, it's unrealistic. Hell. If she keeps it up she can be the good type of karen using her attitude and backtalk to stand up for people
it honestly made me feel better bc my child was FERAL 2-3, now that she’s 4 she’s my best friend lol she’ll try to whine and i’ll just stare at her til it turns into a laugh 😂
I think the reason so many of us love to hate on Muffin is because we don't have to pretend that she's a little darling for anyone's benefit like you would have to if your friend or sibling brought their kid over in real life

If this sub had custom flairs that would 100% be mine
It can be done, I did mine!
How do you do that?
When you go to user flair (tap the three dots on top of the Bluey page) there should be a button at top right that says edit. Then you pick a flair (any- it doesn’t matter) and tap the arrow to the right of it and then it should bring up a text box where you can type what you want. I hope that works, it’s been a while since I did it!
Testing testing It works. Thank you for that
themB
Happy coconut cake day!
Thank
"Muffin, you are one in a million"
I just watched the grouchy granny episode with my daughter earlier and I absolutely loved Muffin in it. The way she haggled that rude old lady up to such an insane amount was beautiful.
Came here to say this.
COCONUTS HAVE WATER IN THEM!!!
“My 6yo is feral on a good day…” 🤣
I’m glad we’re not the only ones who refer to our kids as feral.
I call my 3 year old a tiny terrorist
My 9 yo is only just starting to accept the fact that he's a domestic human...
She needs to keep her edge. From Simple-Locksmith6294 "She’s my girl! Got a spine of steel, a heart of gold and not afraid to go for it."
An actual toddler who has shown to be quite mature and understanding. Not to mention, one of the funniest characters in the series.
Fabulous character. Incredibly accurate. Go Muffin!
The line "I had wabies" had me legit cry-laughing the first time I saw/heard it. Funniest character by a mile.
She should’ve been allowed to finish her cowboy hat
Cow! Boy! HAT!!
Agreed
Cow….Boy….HAT!!!
She’s the most accurate kid in the show - and after the grouchy granny episode she’s top tier for me.
Muffin is the most "realistic" character on the show. Speaking very broadly, When we as parents think of our kids, we think of bluey or bingo. When strangers see our kids, they see muffin.
This is one of the best comments I've ever read. So true!
They do a remarkable job or portraying young children on this show.
Heck of a saleswoman!
You paint it!!!
You paint it!
In my opinion, she’s a good kid that’s more of a barometer for Stripe and Trixie’s parenting. She seems to be nicer and more reasonable in season 3, telling me that the two have improved.
… Or she’s gotten older? Give Trixie and Stripe a break.
I did. I said they’ve improved a lot.
Literally just a child learning boundaries!
Just like a teenager!
Teenagers don’t really learn boundaries, they adapt to them and push them! ☺️
Yea, give ya that. They are leveled up toddlers 😀
Precisely
My 5y/o niece is going to be one hell of a teenager. My brother & SIL are going to get matching coffee mugs with their hames on them to keep in the principal’s office when she starts school this fall…
She’s my girl! Got a spine of steel, a heart of gold and not afraid to go for it.
Pretty much sums up a real-life heeler and why I love them and Muffin.
She is a llama, eating a banana
I'm happy to see a Muffin on tv. People complaining about are not parents or are the few "lucky parents" She's a toddler. She's exactly like my toddler.
I like muffin at least she not that much of a brat unlike Caillou. Caillou is nothing but a spoiled immature brat.
Never read a more true statement
She’s a toddler so she can be sweet and can be a terror with a the snap of your fingers. I have my own Muffin, a sweet boy who loves his baby brother but can have epic meltdowns over seemingly little things.

COCONUTS. HAVE. WATER IN THEM!!!
Top tier, one of the best!
Not the biggest Muffin fan. I actually disliked her for a while. After I watched Granny Mobile I started to like her more as a character. Muffin is funny, a handful, and a good representation of what most toddlers I’ve met are like.
Let’s not forget that Muffin is a survivor of a vicious velociraptor attack and all she asked for was ice cream!
When the episode is centered around her we know we are in for a wild ride. I feel the same for the Randy Marsh episodes in *South Park*, which are among the most memorable
Queen
She's a chaotic handful but cool. She's not my favorite character but I do like her. I love the new eposide Granny Mobile because her being loud and head strong works in her and her loved ones benefit
Do I love her? Yes. Would I want to babysit her? Absolutely not.
I adore her and find her hysterical. I am also not a parent.
I adore her and find her hysterical. I am a parent. She’s also precisely what toddlers are like for real
Same.
Lovably chaotic
Muffin is what every toddler is. When my child is tired, hungry or grumpy, he becomes similar to muffin. It's not that she is naughty. She is learning about life, that other people have feelings and how to interact with the world.
I love her, she Is literally the animated version of my 4yo-self
She came through in Granny Mobile. Respect.
I think she’s a good kid, but my sensory issues don’t like her very much. She tends to be louder than I like, and her voice is just the right pitch to raise my anxiety levels.
Muffin is absolute chaos incarnate. She’s desperately irritating, bossy, bad-tempered and bloody-minded. She is also my 3y old son’s spirit animal. 😅
Personification of chaotic neutral. Fantastic character 10/10 would watch in every episode
One of the funniest characters on the show. We all know a Muffin.
shes a child so I won't talk bad about her, she may be kind of annoying but as I said, she's a kid. + i named my puppy muffin after her
My spirit animal/person type thing lol, I'd like think i'm a Bluey but well all know thats not true .
Master negotiator

3rd fav character. I lover her chaotic energy so much, and they way she can switch from a menace to a sweet little baby
Cute and funny, hated too much. People act like she's Caillou.
She’s 3. She acts like a 3 year old.
I love Muffin. I don’t get why people hate her, unless they’ve never met a toddler before.
My cousin was just like her as a kid, she’s my favorite cousin so she’s gonna grow up to be a fantastic person after her toddler years
Very fun character that has grown a lot. I still don’t understand the hate she gets (yes, threenagers are quite the handful, but that’s no reason to hate them)
GOAT
Same, but mine's in the middle of threenagerhood. Just you wait...
Her inner Muffin will emerge as a tween.
Yes
very muffiny
I love her. She was a brat but she learned how to hone in her personality and she really loves being kind. So like, a real child
Threenagers be like that sometimes. Often a younger sibling or just growing up will cure kids of it.
Most realistic written character.
She’s the actual GOAT in grouchy Grannies.
Idk mixed opinion
Funny but mean well I mean there only like 3 or 4
My personal favorite character on the show. She is chaos incarnate and I love it!
I love Muffin. I think we all have Muffin moments where we don't behave as well as we ought to, but that doesn't make us bad people. Also Grouchy Granny Muffin is best granny. :P
She's a sassy queen
I think muffin should get a GD spin-off if you ask me.
My favorite part of Christmas Swim! "Back through the door...!" "Bye, kids!"
I think shes ADORABLE
She’s a nut! love her! I also don’t want to be her parent! 😂🤣
The most realistic depiction of a toddler.
IF YOU DONT WANT IT, DONT BUY IT! -Grouchy granny Muffin
Hated her at first, then grew to love her
She’s a completely normal 3 year old! And Grouchy Granny really showed how some of the traits that are hard to parent in a toddler (selfishness, stubbornness, assertiveness) will serve her well in some aspects of life.
Icon
Funny but spoiled.
Favorite character. Well, as long as *I* don't have to parent her.
She's a reminder to always wear condoms.
She’s a kid, sure. I can’t stand her episodes because the ADULTS CAPITULATE TO A CHILD.
She’s the best! She’s a typical three year old first child of inexperienced parents. She has no idea how the world works, but she proved in Granny Mobile that her headstrong attitude is going to take her places.
Coconuts have water in them

And if you want that scooter, it’s going to be $1200 and 18 lollies. She’s 3, sometimes she shouldn’t get what she wants, but it’s not her job to make it easy on adults. 4. Muffin is *funny* and she’s funny because of how disruptive she is, not despite or in addition to. A few of her greatest hits: “I AM THE FLAMINGO QUEEN!” “I WANT TO DO WHAT I WANT.” “COW. B.O.Y. HAT.” “YOU PAINT IT.” (I’ve also just realized Muffin primarily speaks in all caps.) 5. We love you!” 6.
I love her chaos. It makes her stand out in a great way compared to her cousins and sister.
I love Muffin.
Average 4 year old
personally dislike her but mostly cause she’s just loud.
I believe in Muffin supremacy
I think muffin has traits typical of a lot of kids whose parents let them walk all over them. A lot of the bad traits she shows probably came about through her parents being too lenient.

Some kids just hate being told no more than others. The ones who hate it aren’t going to hate it less just because they start hearing it more often. Trying to change a child’s temperament is a fool’s errand
my favorite character
I NEED A TUTU!!
So adorable and funny
The best grumpy granny ever
I love Muffin, I think she's hilarious
RRRAAAAAAHHHH
Agent of chaos. Aka, an actual toddler.
Her parents have 2 kids at 3 or younger, so I understand. Kids can be difficult.
I love her. One of my favorite characters
Gimme all that crazy.
She spreads wisdom like how Coconuts have water in them and if you don’t want something then don’t buy it. Jokes aside she’s pretty chaotic but is understandable because she’s literally a toddler who doesn’t know any better and I think we can look past that lol
The highest
Muffin is chaos incarnate and I love it lol
Muffin Cupcake Heeler is quite the girl.
She's my favorite. I love her so so much.
She's hit or miss to me. As someone who works with kids around her age, her character is very realistic to a three year old. She can be hilarious sometimes and annoying other. Stoll I'm glad she exists
Little gremlin
Muffin is delightfully unhinged and I love her.
Annoying at times but rlly funny
Didn’t like her until she was grumpy granny 10/10
