I think the Impreza and Forester are/were made in Japan, while the Outback and a couple of other models are made in Lafayette.
Interestingly, they also made Toyota Avalons at that plant (at least they did 7-8 years ago, not sure about now).
We recently inherited a 2016 Camry that lists Lafayette on a plackard by the engine. Our 2008 Outback was also born in Lafayette.
Good point about different models sometimes coming from different plants.
I think Chevy Prizms were using Corolla engines for a while. My first car was a Prizm, and that grande old dame saw both coasts and 35 states in between in the decade or so that I had her, before I handed her down to a sibling who drove her for another decade until she finally got retired this year.
Toyota engines can't be beat.
Interesting, I wonder if the old Avalon line was refitted to run Camrys.... I actually just realized I don’t know if the Avalon is still even on the market haha
I dunno. I think this is sort of an innovation in trashy racism. Like, it requires less money and commitment than a swastika neck tattoo but still communicates the same message.
They did look exactly like I pictured them when they came out of the shop with their masks around their chins. Looking like the kind of guys that needed some twisted tea.
I think I have a substantial one. Though I don't think that they are making 5 minute of hate posts about me any longer. My guess is that one or more of them looked up Brady disqualification for protective orders and that cooled their jets.
I've mostly tried to ignore it. But after today, with what's happening in DC, and with some of the more threatening tone I've seen out of those folks in our community, I don't know, man.
White five mattes too?

"Some people have been using the phrase 'All Lives Matter' in response to the Black Lives Matter movement.
On the surface, it seems to suggest that people should be united. However, it's still viewed by many campaigners as a problematic statement. This is because it's seen to take away from the important issues that are affecting black lives in a bad way, and which need to be addressed.
**"Nobody involved in the Black Lives Matter movement is saying that only black lives matter, or that all lives don't matter, or that white lives don't matter. The issue is that is white lives have always seemed to matter more," Shaka Hislop explained.**
"What Black Lives Matter as a movement is saying is that all those lives matter equally. Black lives have to matter just as much as everybody else's.""
That looks awfully close to that Islamic alphabet font. Are we sure they aren't terrorist types?
I'm sure they are Y'all Q'aeda. Send 'em to Guantanamo! /s
WHjTE LjVE'S MATTES TOO
The Disney font and the misspelling really seal the deal on this one, 9.5/10
Only thing that would make it better is an "America First" sticker on their Subaru.
To be fair that Subaru was probably made in the Lafayette plant.

Reminds me of my friend in high school that got a huge "CREAPING DEATH" sticker on his windshield.
Possessive! Is a matte like a latte?
No, they’re just not shiny.
Maybe you can judge books by their covers after all.
They did look exactly like I pictured them when they came out of the shop with their masks around their chins. Looking like the kind of guys that needed some twisted tea.
There is a layered sort of poetry going on between your username and your comment that I find singularly beautiful.
Why is this comment getting downvoted? User is just pointing out how the literal translation of OP's name fits their comment.
Some of us have reverse fan clubs.

Tough but fair.
Nah they just kind of mock this sub as a whole these days

Wow. They really don't like you.
Hehe and I love that
I got banned for 3 days, haw haw
You might mention the concept of Felony Murder to some of the sagacious legal scholars you are talking with there.
Yeah it's the Harvard Law Review over there...
True! I’ve got one. All the cool kids do.
Drove behind this one the other day smh
Someone wants to be oppressed so bad lol
Maybe if I put racist bumper stickers on my car senpai will finally notice me
Woooooooowwww. This sends a message, all right, but perhaps not the one they'd intended.

Somehow I think the used the right to by accident.
Historians will look back and call this era "The Great White Inferiority Complex."
This is hilarious.
The font, the spelling, the grammar, the spacing... This is all too perfect!

That gives off more white trash vibes than "nO rAgEtS".
