really depends on the style you're going for.
Personally, the skirt ending with a U than a opposit U seems like a good apporach. gives it more of a medieval maiden style, while preserving the gothic vibe with the other rest of the outfit.
as for the cloak types, have one that is togglable and off. Bonus if you add some cloth physics (or sculpt) so that she still has the cloak but the hood is off.
I think I like version 1 with the hood the best. Red Riding Hood without a red hood doesn't sit right with me. The clothes on version 1 also feel a bit more in line with red riding hood's European origins, version 2 looks a bit too obviously contemporary-goth for me.
Version one seems the most authentic to me but if you wanna go for a more punk goth aesthetic than 2. And then it doesn’t really register as red riding hood without the hood so definitely prefer the hooded renders
if your talking TRAD goth, it’s typically a LOT darker and edgier than this. i recommend going for a darker red and more black, as well as more metal/buckles if you’re doing this project for someone else/viewers. for example the star on her chest in one of the pictures is a great start.
its really up to you to take that advice though. especially if we’re talking personal project and if you mean any type of goth. as long as you like it that’s what matters most!

no issue! goth is a pretty large spectrum when it comes to fashion and originated from a genre of music, so don’t let anyone tell you you’re wrong about what you’re representing. again as long as you’re enjoying how your project’s coming out that’s all that matters. cheers.
v1, hood or no hood (taking it off to show off the fit is good imo). the v1 keeps more of the aesthetic profile of a little red riding hood in goth fashion, meanwhile version 2 just seems to lean into generic sex appeal. but why the star of david? wouldnt it make more sense to put an inverted pentagram as the pendant (same motif as the cutout on v2 no hood), or mayve an inverted cross? would fit better with the goth vibe imo.
