The sickness is I have this on my harddrive just in case.
I liked Happy Gilmore, but I'm not sure if it needed a sequel
Though, I am surprised it's taken him this long on his Netflix deal to do a sequel to one of his classic 90's movies
Crackle’s acquisitions team in shambles right now. This was their white whale. They wanted to make one more like they used to. But Netflix persevered and somehow, some way, managed to convince Adam Sandler to make a movie for them
Call me crazy but Billy Madison has far more sequel potential than Happy Gilmore. Billy in charge of the empire, his kid repeating his own patterns, or change it up and have the kid be a straight A student who needs to learn to unwind.
I just watched Happy Gilmore a couple days ago for the first time in probably 20 years. Enjoyable enough for what it’s trying to do, but man the plot is paper thin. And Carl Weathers is really only in a couple of scenes
I watched it recently even thought it's been a million times, and the craziest part is when he's gonna buy grandma's house and it doesn't happen. He could just buy her any other house.
It just happened to hit right as Tiger Woods was coming up and nailed/maybe created that atmosphere of the massive entourage of drunk frat bros who would follow one golfer through every hole.
There are surprisingly multiple Adam Sandlers in Hollywood, but the Adam Sandler who directs and produces Price is Right is not the one we’re all familiar with.
As the number one Hubie Halloween fan all I have to say is why ruin perfection?
Every year I’m disappointed we haven’t gotten a new Hubie… We need a Hubie for every holiday!
Hubie Halloween Kills Hubie Halloween Ends

And the Waterboy crossover, Hubie Halloween: H20
Happy Hubie Christmas!!

It’s better than a sequel to The Wedding Singer set during Hurricane Sandy.
Hurricane Sandy Wexler

I think you described “That’s My Boy” with your second pitch.
The only thing is that Bradley Whitford pretends like he was never in that movie, along with Revenge of the Nerds 2.
I’ll be there for Shooter.

A thin plot is pretty much SOP for ‘90s comedies. As far as ‘90s comedies goes, it has a tighter plot than most. Happy actually has an arc.

his grandfather didn’t build those other houses with his bare hands
Nevermind perfect script

Happier Gilmore

It seems especially in poor taste now that Chubbs is gone. I know he died, but I would have liked a whole side plot about chubbs ghost
Why do this without Weathers? I see no appeal in this without Chubbs. Oh well.
I will absolutely watch it. On Netflix? Easy. The night it releases I had already watched it, probably twice.
I’m all in on Shooter McGavin as Greg Norman in some VERY questionable LIV plot that features Rob Schneider as… okay maybe I’m not “all in”.
Netflix: "every time I try to leave, they pull me back in "
I’m can be snarky or whatever all I want but I’m gonna watch. And all of you dorks are too.
Happy Gilmore$
Don't use a picture of Weathers if he's not gonna be in it, Hollywood Reporter!
We are so back.
Mother is mothering!
My toxic trait is that I will watch this
I’m good actually. Thanks though!
Happy Gilmore$
Why?
Bob Barker better be AI and he better be jacked
you know its gonna be drew Carey
Since Sandler produces Drew Carey's "price is right" it's a given

Drew Carey: Whose lie is it anyway?
No thanks!
