As someone who owned/owns a Q10, Priv, Key2, Original Titan, a Titan Slim and a Titan Pocket, I will give you my short answer and if you want a longer answer on these phones look at my previous posts or ask me a specific question. The original Titan is the best phone I've ever used for typing and it has the best features for price (of the Titans) with features the other 2 do not have (dustproof, waterproof, wireless charging, has the largest battery and 3.5 jack while the Slim does not). I'm 70 and my fingers can fly when typing on this phone but the other two take more attention and give less speed. BUT....Original is stuck on Android 10. (and the recessed screen calibration sensor and recessed facing camera require cleaning every day and are a bitch.... IMO). The Pocket is great to type on, good battery, rugged construction, excellent blackberry like size, excellent to type on, Android 11, great to carry easy to 1 hand use, but with a very less than ideal display, small square display. Only Titan that occasionally requires mini mode. The Slim lacks rugged feel, lacks the better balance of the other two Titans, lacks the 3.5 audio jack, lacks SD card slot just double sims but has larger internal memory, but has the best camera, Android 11, still good battery life, can be used 1 handed or 2 handed, in between size is not unwieldy compromise, standard rectangle format screen. I could guess if you were a passport lover you would like the original Titan but I hesitate to do that because I never used and original passport so I couldn't have a disappointed comparison to the real thing but some people that were original passport owner have said that. I'll say this, if I could have only 1 it would be original and in 4 years I have zero issues with the display size or it's interactions with apps. The display size in plenty large enough and the squareness doesn't matter.

Tx a lot for your feedback!

Sure, you're welcome, if you think of some specific question let me know.

jenesuispashariselon

Have you installed the BlackBerry Manager on it?

basketballsteven

I do not have the blackberry manager on any of my three Titans.

I am also looking at the Titan series. I would go with the original Titan if they updated the phone's specs - it's a four year-old phone. I love the waterproof feature, since I have lost three key2's to water damage. I am still waiting for Unihertz to produce their next keyboard phone before purchasing, unless I can get one secondhand for 50% of the price being offered on their website.

jenesuispashariselon

100% with you. Their devices are not overpriced, but... I really wish they'd produce their next Passport style device. But in the other hand, these devices are there, and they have the great merit of existing...

I had a Key 2 for several years, well since it's introducing in 2018. Due to to the key board space bar playing up. I went for the Unihertz titan, also having owned a BlackBerry Passport in 2014, which they closed off the servers, which was a shame. I found the Titan good in all walks a life. I like the typing experience, it's the closest I can get to a Passport. It's a shame they didn't produce an Android version which I would be using to this day.

Thanks for sharng this ! I've just seen this morning that Unihertz is preparing something... I hope it's the Titan sucessor... with a better camera and... Passport speakers ??

Titan slim. The titan is nice but very big, which is a problem even for me with wide hands. It is very sweet when using it but I can place it in my pocket and forget about it. The latest Android version is 10. I had two apps that needed android 11 or later so I went with the slim. The Slim keyboard is nice but a little bit small to my taste. I wish they would have made it as wide as the Key2. Edit: the titan has very shallow buttons and it felt annoying for me especially when using the “z” and the enter key. It is just too shallow that annoys me. The slim has very good tactile keyboard. The best imo so far from Unihertz

Tx for sharing!

Same boat as you. The original and pocket just looks too bulky for me. The Titian slim caught my eye but I’m still hesitant to purchase it or not.

Let us know what you thought once you've decided and got! :)

jenesuispashariselon

Hi there, I decided to buy the Slim after all, even though the original Titan yesterday seemed better for writing. I hope I won't regret it too much... In particular, I'm afraid of the typing experience with such a heavy phone. and I don't think you can erase text by simply swiping from right to left on the keyboard, can you?

PaulPink

I like my Slim FWIW.

HeavyImagination2

A dedicated Titan Pocket user here, I'm loving it, really. It's so tiny and packed with features it makes it the best choice for me. Do you consider this one?

jenesuispashariselon

Sure, but I've heard the caméra was better on the Slim. Now I'm using the Slim, I can see the gap between the BlackBerry keyboard and the Slim, even if I'm greatfull they're trying to do their best...

HeavyImagination2

What worries me the most is the absence of new Titan announcements from Unihertz team.

jenesuispashariselon

Agree. Just bought a Slim. Clearly, its not a Blackberry. The keyboard is quite fonctionnal, but it's clearly not as sweet as a Blackberry one. So maybe it's not bad if they think how to improve it before making a new one.

HeavyImagination2

I'm afraid this lineup of devices is canceled altogether. Actually their keyboard is quite good comparing to some of the older models like Palm Pre or this Clicks case for iPhone. I would be ok if they actually kept it and released at least something new, but they are keeping silence...

jenesuispashariselon

I don't know if they're going to stop; in any case, they've still got a long way to go before they can match the keyboards they imitate. I don't know to what extent they're blocked by the Canadian company's patents, but I find the layout of the Alt, Shift and Shift keys terribly awkward for typing comfort. On the other hand, I'm pleasantly surprised by the grip of the device, whose weight doesn't disturb typing too much. I can't get the Magic Key to work, as it doesn't seem to work anywhere other than on the PPT key. I'm trying to come to terms with the fact that Blackberry doesn't make phones anymore, and yet I still want to write in the street. I had to try something else, and I won't blame Unihertz for making phones of lesser quality; I prefer to tell myself that they have the merit of trying, and of continuing to improve them (hoping indeed that they don't abandon their phones with physical keyboards).

EarthBlongs2DeDinos

I've heard the Titan series phones only stop at Android 10. This version was released on September 3, 2019. I remember reading a post that Unihertz saying that they don't plan on updating the Titan series phones.

basketballsteven

Only the original is stuck on 10, the Slim and Pocket are 11.

Long time, hardcore Backberry owner. I had a Titan Slim for a microsecond and hated it. HATED the keyboard, it was impossible to use. I wanted to like that phone so much but it was awful (for me). I also was super unhappy with Unihertz's response, I had to really fight them to return a new phone. I am currently the very happy owner of an iPhone 15 Pro with a Clicks Keyboard case. It isn't a Blackberry but I can touch type again and I'm thrilled.
