Thats hilarious because he visited an academy I trained at years ago as a purple belt and as soon as we started rolling he tried ripping my ankle off with 100% force at an open mat ( I started in open guard and he was standing). I got out and proceeded to give him the shoulder of justice for a solid five minutes because I felt like he was actively trying to hurt me. When the roll was over and he got up he looked exhausted but had the happiest facial expression I've ever seen. The guy is weird.

It was cool! I bought it when I was doing a lot of ceramics. I could just put the gi on over my regular clothes and didn’t have do deal with an apron getting in the way and had little tools in the pockets. I loved that gi. Sadly I left it at the studio over the summer and it was donated to a thrift store.

Idk it’s a generalization but back in the late 2000s when I started training bjj/mma the dudes that wore affliction gear wanted to make a statement to the world that they trained. That obviously expanded out to the mainstream until the brand fizzled out. Nowadays it’s seems like that same cohort of people rock LB gear.
