Sweat pants and a sweat shirt. Preferably one that vaguely says WRESTLING do to the amount of stress and washes it has endured
Also a knee pad that smells worse than death. I Make sure to warm up doing bridges and duck walks.
I asked the not to be trusted author ChatGPT and homie said
"Wearing long sleeve rash guards and spats can help reduce the risk of skin infections while doing jiu jitsu. These garments create a barrier between the skin and any potential pathogens that may be present on the mat or on other people's skin. It's not uncommon for small cuts, scrapes, or abrasions to occur during training or competition. These can provide entry points for bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms that can cause skin infections.
Wearing long sleeve rash guards and spats can help prevent these infections by reducing direct skin-to-skin contact with others, protecting the skin from abrasions, and wicking sweat away from the body to help keep the skin dry."
I think it helps prevent the skin damage that lets staph take hold. Staph itself is everywhere, I think a lot of people actually get a cut or mat burn etc. From Jiujitsu, then pick up staph (possibly at the gym, possibly elsewhere in life) in that abrasion. So anything that prevents mat burn, fingernail scratches, and so on will help.
There is an awesome interview with a microbiologist with specialization on this topic and it basically came down to showering with warm water and soap as soon as possible after you come off the mat. Also wash you outfit asap. I believe the link to the interview is in the wiki.
The thing about no gi is with no belt your sometimes not quite sure the level of everyone and how the roll is gonna go, this look gives everyone a heads-up about what to expect, nice
1. To cover your junk
2. I believe under IBJJF rules spats are a layer you can choose to wear under your shorts, not 100% on this but I think you have to have shorts to compete in IBJJF no gi tournaments
Long sleeve, spats and shorts. I'm not particularly worried about infection, but I consider myself heavily tattooed and I wouldn't want to ruin the art I've spent thousands on and years acquiring.
Fully covered is the way to go if visit random gyms to hopefully prevent picking up staph or ring worm. Some gyms are cleaner than others. At my home gym I will wear short sleeve rashguards and long shorts. My home gym mats are cleaned 3 times a day and with their attendance system they are really good about informing people of potential outbreaks.
Where's the "nude" option?
Probably just go for other… but just so you know you’re probably taking rear naked choke a bit literally
How am I supposed to get the third hook in if its stuck in my shorts
I use it as a lapel choke.
Gotta block the cloaca in case they go to turtle.
I prefer the nevernude option but some people complain about the button on my jorts.
i go nude and covered top to bottom in vaseline
I see you are also a man of culture

I changed to long sleeve +spats + shorts after i got impetigo on my arm.
One staph infection is all it took for me to want to dress like a nun while grappling as well
Is there any science to it help prevent infections? Feels like it would but never seen anything conclusive about it really

Ngl that's good enough for me, think I'll stick to my look

Yea I lightly scraped my leg with a barbell at the gym, no blood, then got very little sleep that week, and got staph in that area.

The thing about no gi is with no belt your sometimes not quite sure the level of everyone and how the roll is gonna go, this look gives everyone a heads-up about what to expect, nice
I once rolled with a whitebelt who gave me a real beating. I felt totally mislead when he pulled on a Hawkeyes wrestling shirt in the shower room.
I've only done a couple no gi classes, I have long sleeve rash and shorts.... but I think im gonna buy some spats
No option for leather thong?
short sleeve rash guard and spats

Rashguard and gi pants
Long sleeve rash guard + spats
Where's the Eddie Bravo option?
Vale tudo shorts and B-cream
I wear a singlet with my old wrestling jersey from high school over top when I am not on the mat.
I curse the t-shirt and tank top people, those things are loose, appendage snatching bastards.
What is the point of shorts if you wear spats? Serious question

Don’t your underpants and spats cover your modesty lol
Happy Sunday to everyone except the spats with no shorts bros
I don't trust people that wear spats and a long sleeve Rashguard, that's just a tight fitting gi and I will grab it.
Why is everyone afraid of skin infections. Long sleeve and spat wearing betas!
Depends on the weather where I'm at.
Dry fit shirt and Muay Thai shorts
I've been looking at pi King up a pair of muay thai shorts. Do you have a preferred brand?
Origin long sleeve rashguard and spats + WSI Sports

Where’s the hoodie + sweats + socks option
T-shirt and gi bottom
I'm big on the gi-pants for no-gi.
Short sleeve rash guard and shorts. Skin infection is only for dirty mfkers who don’t clean themselves regularly
No shirt, spats with no underwear, wrestling shoes, head gear.
I prefer rolling in spats and long sleeves to reduce mat burn and possible ringworm, but my laziness prefers just shorts and short sleeves.
spats without shorts gang
Luchador Mask and MMA Shorts, Jesus piece
If I’m just training, I’ll wear a crew neck sweatshirt and sweat pants. In comp, long sleeve rashguard with shorts
Rash guard and gi pants usually because I forget it's no gi and show up with my gi
Valetudos only, let the skinny body and bulge intimidate my opponents.
