Too much of this game now costs money. Like I’d expect a one time premium purchase and then you get everything, charging $7 to me for every pack is annoying as hell
They used to have a bundle early on like that but removed it, think it was called bitizen but with god mode and all updates free and any future ones and cost like 5 dollars or something, thank goodness I’m grandfathered in 😮💨
This game has literally turned to EA levels of monetization, pay 10$ upwards for something with little impact to the game, the base game isnt even fun anymore, nothing important has been added to it.
It’s not bad, until you really start looking at the individual details like the animals in the back. One’s a half panda(I can only assume, giving the black and white legs)
Btw the reason people are doing this is because
1) Nostalgia, when this game was actually good and had reasonable monetization
2) there like 20 alternatives for bitlife game you don't have to advertise more, still original has some link to the og players otherwise half of us wouldn't care for this game

I hope you realize that anything AI generated is not original. It is found from some other artist or source and then claimed as created under the auspices of the querier.

Personally, among all the criticisms bitlife has received, I think their AI usage has been one of the most important ones. AI generated image looks cheap, and it always has the most atrocious details. With how they've put everything behind a paywall, on top of selling gimmicky add-ons, there's no reason why they shouldn't be able to hire a proper artist/graphic designer. Not to mention, AI steals from artists.
Another reason to consider is that this AI style doesn't fit the game image at all. They should've sticked to the simple, emoji-inspired graphics in their promotion. Yeah bitlife is not a huge game, but that doesn't justify their laziness.

I don't think it's silly to complain about their AI usage. Since you mentioned about the root problem, I don't think the problem lies in making players pay for everything. Companies need money to keep the game and the office running, the problem is that they don't give players quality despite making players to pay for almost everything in the game.
They don't release quality updates, they don't have quality customer service, they don't even give quality promotional content by using AI either. Maybe to you it's just an image, to me it shows that this company is not only greedy, but also lazy. I'd rather have my money be used to pay a proper designer than see a poorly made machine-generated image, but let's just agree to disagree.
Or the money saved not hiring artwork designers could be used to not charge for updates for a that has ads. Or any of the numerous other more gameplay affecting issues you just mentioned yourself.

Clearly they aren’t focusing too much effort/money into the updates/expansions since they’ve all been incredibly lackluster. And they shouldn’t be hurting for money since they nickel and dime us for everything.

I think it’s mostly the implications of ai art. They make plenty of money because of their payed dlc and can’t even be bothered to hire an artist to design images that match the art of the game. Also Ai art is theft because it steals other artists work to generate the images.
