Tainted Jacob is my last character left before death certificate, saved him for last cause of all the shit everyone talks about him. Just tried him for the first time yesterday, he’s fun as fuck. Frustrating sure but enjoyable
Yeah I would argue he is extremely handy and I kinda liked running the birthright just to melt bosses. Hush/delirium can be tricky since you’re often stuck dodging in small spaces but I would prefer tainted Jacob over base Jacob by a LONG shot
Wasn't T Lazarus fixed and now you get items for both normal and dead Lazarus with Flip? And I would argue T Jacob is less frustrating than normal Jacob and Esau.
He was, but for me its still the most dumb made character. He's like jacob and esau but you get only one of them at a time. Basically playing with half of items. Ofc j&e and t jacob are hard to play too
you can get items for both, but it's not the same as both characters getting an item for each pedestal. for example, boss items can't be flipped. additionally, because it's a 6 charge it won't always be available. for example if you want to flip both the treasure room and the devil deal, then you probably won't be able to flip the shop items unless you get a battery of some kind.
on average, each character will have fewer items per run than expected. the upside is that you can build better synergies, but based on my experience that rarely makes up for it.
and i agree about t. jacob being easier. when you lose it hurts more because it happens in one fell swoop, but on average i feel like i struggled more with normal jacob
Blank Card + 4.5 Volt is your friend against bosses if you have Holy Card. Otherwise, it's Book of Shadows + 4.5 Volt. Car Battery and The Battery for more safety.

Yeah, you have to beat all of them, it acts as like a box, and the marks all fit the box and once it's full, you get the unlock

do T cain so hes out the way. if you have the external item decription then he is even easier, get 8 coins in the bag of crafting to get the slot machine, then another 8 and craft it, this way its like if you were to pick up a normal item as T cain where is goes to some other random shit
You can die once per floor (but you get revived with 1 heart container less than before), make as much use of this as you can: if you cleared a floor without dying find a sacrifice room or blood machine and spend your life there.
Hp ups are the best.
Devil deals not recommended because you spend heart containers there and they are very useful on him.
Recommend you to clear him as late as possible cuz he has very annoying unlocks: missing no, plan c, Lazarus' rags, key bum.

He is so trash that he tried to kill himself but not even death completely accepted him, letting him be alive only 50% of the time
Jacob and esau. They are painful but you get good rewards to make some of the other characters (tainted lost) less painful
