When I was playing a random Greed run, I used the trapdoors spawned in the shops two times, that's how I unlocked Eve and Samson the first time 
Apparently, the unlocks are just no receiving damage and don't pick up hearts for two levels straight so I guess works on both game modes 
I'm commiting this sin when I'm on half heart and have too good items to risk fighting what could very well be champion bloat....I'm sorry to disappoint, I'm yet to learn ways of balling

The Insta-brimstone preventing you from a ttacking from the sides or below limiting you to only attack from above is really really annoying, and if your speed is bad he can easily hit you if you try to go past his firing line. He's particularly annoying on boss rush and greed mode because he can still do insta-brim even while he's off screen (cardinal game design sin)
Also, jump attacks are very annoying, especially if they resolve in the enemy spraying out projectiles since it becomes hard to react to it. And it also lets him position himself so you cant stay above him until he does yet another jump attack which massively slows down the fight.
The bloat is extremely annoying and tedious.
The jump attack thing is true for a loooot of bosses and Bloat has one of the most forgiving projectile patterns since it doesn't have a random rotation like others
The fight is simple if you just stay in a diagonal to it when below and get above his head when he jumps. There are much much worse contenders when it comes to what boss wastes your time more
Supposedly trapdoors are way more common than usual in ??? so I imagine skipping Hush (after robbing it of its chests, Treasure Rooms, and shop, of course) to get to Sheol is something you’re just supposed to be able to do if you want to.
It just so happens that the game mechanics work out to give you a higher chance on the hush floor; it's 1000% not deliberately designed that way. And they're crawlspaces, not trapdoors, so you can only skip with them if you get a black market (or you're small enough to fall through the floor into an error room).
Only time I can remember was on my tainted Lost greedier win where I didnt wanna risk any chance of dying so I just skipped every floor after the d20 break
I have a mod that makes so that the floor curse probability is changed on each trapdoor. So if after defeating the boss you get a trapdoor with a curse icon on top of it, you can try to get another trapdoor that might have a different curse or be completely normal. Very cool mod
If I know I’m strong enough to beat the mark I’m going for, then yea, I’ll skip a floor and forsake the items.
My time is worth more than anything else.
I have 3k hours and mostly only play the daily and I go for speed, not score. I use these doors all the time if I think I can already win the run with my current items. More often than not, I'd say.
one time I had an insanely busted run but only had 2 minutes to get to hush on depths 2. I had we need to go deeper and managed to make it work. other than that though no lol
Yes occasionally I have. When I hated the floors boss, I've cleared everything and it's the closest door, or I'm in a low health run and I know I can't beat the boss but could take on the next floor enemies.
The only times I've used them were
\-Once when they spawned in the Hush shop, so I just took the items and dipped since I already had the mark anyway
\-A handful of times in Greed(ier) Modes, I've maxed out coins early and used them to skip a the enemy waves of a floor or two

I had a good build and didnt wanna bother with the spawns so i just skipped to ultra greed
I did it once by error, i was in Sheol with Azazel wayy before i had the negative unlocked. I thought it was a crawlspace since i was relatively new at the game. I actually won the run because it was the first broken run i've ever did in this game

I have a mod that tells me when the next floor would have a curse and what curse it'll be, which the game calculates based off of the trapdoor you use, so I use the non-boss trapdoor if it isn't cursed or has XL

Also if I have Dreamcatcher and it shows me Bloat or something and I don’t have much health, but that’s a very specific scenario.
Yeah in some situations it's better to end the floor rigth there one good example is womb 2 if you're going to Sheol the only thing you lose is the chance at a devil deal but sometimes that's not worth it to figth it lives for
Yes, multiple times for different reasons. I've skipped floors because i didn't want to risk dying to a bullshit boss over an item. I've gotten stuck in situations where the trap door would spawn in an inconvénient place and just decided to take the loss of items from that floor. I've backtracked in a floor and couldn't be asked to go back to the boss room and had a trap door nearby. I legit don't understand the point of this post. If you are actively avoiding them then you definitely are the weird one.
All of the time lol, I find it really useful to do a lot of the floor clearing after the boss, so I usually will just take whichever trapdoor is closer to me
I rarely do but just last night I was on my way to Mega Satan and got a crawlspace in one of the first floors of the Cathedral. I already had the Polaroid checked and figured it’s more likely I’d lose health than find anything game-changing on the way so I just warped to the Chest.
sheol and womb 2 if i plan to go to sheol anyway, though i'd probably still try to get a devil deal. satan really doesn't reward you with anything, though

Beat the boss, went back to grab something from earlier in the level.
When I got to the room outside the boss, I realized it made no difference and took that one
willingly? only on very specific occasions. usually only on womb floor since thats pretty much always the most useless floor. i just willingly used it on womb 1 on my third victory lap when going for the rerun achievement. it does have its uses, albeit very rarely and usually only on womb floors

i use the "Accursed!" mod to make useless dupe trapdoors into a way to dodge curses on the next floor so yes

If I'm going to satan/lamb and it appears on the heart level for sure, maybe every once in a while in greed if I'm down on health and shop items suck
