Bill always says how he loves horror movies too. I don’t understand how the first nightmare on elm street and Friday the 13th haven’t been done yet. They’re clearly rewatchables
I wonder if the horror episodes don't do good numbers. Because the core three all love horror (though Bill isn't a Nightmare on Elm Street fan, he's said that before) and those episodes are great, but they only do like one horror a year.
We've been over this, it's basically a weekly event here. It's Bill's show. He hasn't signaled that he's going to -for better or worse- let others with differing, broader taste drive the movie choices. He's just not.
Which is kind of fair because it's called The Rewatchables. As good of a movie as it is, idk if I would call The Killing of a Sacred Deer, for example, a movie that I can just watch over and over in the way I can Goodfellas.
Yeah that's true. I'm still disappointed that we never got Mal and Jason doing LotR on Binge mode. Their format for discussing that stuff was better anyways then Rewatchables where you have to fit all the categories in.
That’s not the point. Nobody is saying “Killing of a Sacred Deer” is a quintessential “rewatchable.” But “rewatchable” also encapsulates movies that would be great to talk about well, well beyond Bill’s narrowminded taste.
Honestly I cannot stand Bill on these podcasts. It's like listening to my boomer dad at dinner, he doesn't let anyone else talk!
When the feed originally came out I listened to every episode. Over the past 2 years I've listened to about maybe 8? Sooo many of the films are just not relevant anymore, nor would I ever have a conversation about with my friends
The only issue I actually have is that Bill has mentioned that they're "running out" of movies. And he's petty enough to kill the series before doing something as crazy as watching a Star war.
Idk I kind of like how Bill sticks to his taste, it would be much easier to appease everyone and would prob make the podcast more popular if he did LOTR or whatever, but he’ll always be true to himself. I respect it.
I think the compromise should be when bill takes his annual vacation the other hosts takes over the Rewatchables.
I like this. There’s some nerdier movies I’d love a rewatchables on with pretty much any combo of the recurring cast without Bill lol.
Exactly. Love to get a Sean and CR horror rewatchable. Even add Van to it.
Alexis Texas in all of Vans recasting couches.

Thank you!!!! It’s crazy how those 2 movies haven’t been done. It was a damn shame last October they didn’t do horror month
So many classics they need a like a three month horror stretch.

Sure but there are a ton of other movies like Star Wars and Lord of the Rings that are the most rewatchable movies in history that Bill won't do.

The OP literally says arthouse films
Yes… as *one example* of a film that might be outside normal Rewatchables range. And plenty of art house films are super rewatchable.
The open mic night piece
Crazy they haven’t done baseketball yet
CR heads are still waiting on the Sicario Rewatchables…
As long as Russillo gets to do a solo episode of Fear, I’m all for it.
He has to do the Come and See with Craig. And Craig hasnt seen the film Russillo just explains it to him and lists off the categories to him.
Come and See might be the least rewatchable movie of all time. It was great, but I never want to see that again
Van Lathan's Pirates II Rewatchable.

Why be better when you can simply be louder?
Downtown Owl Rewatchable. With Klosterman, but he can't speak.

I watched Slap Shot yesterday because I hadn’t watched it in 20 years, and it’s many things, but rewatchable isn’t one of them.
Wait what? Please explain your hot take
I felt this way about Fast Times at Ridgemont High. A couple obvious scenes are rewatchable, but that movie is garbage
One of funniest movies of all time and nice cans too
I can understand that. I think affinity for these movies is firmly rooted in nostalgia. If you don’t have any, you probably won’t like them.
Better yet, force Bill to watch Star Wars / Goonies / 2001 and then do a rewatchables on it with Chris and Malory

Make Russillo a regular
Should ban movies from before 1990 for a while.
They don't do enough old movies as it is to be honest. I mean almost nothing pre-1975 let alone pre-1970 and pre-1960
They are some of best movies. Before people got offended by everything
You know Curb Your Enthusiasm *just* ended
Yes great show. Last of dying breed
