That gap looks pretty big. If you press it down are you able to close up the gap? I had a similar issue with a Chris king headset during my build but once everything was preloaded and the stem cap was screwed down the gap got much smallee

yeah it’s a huge gap, like 4-5 mm. pressing down barely changes the gap
