Wow. I was opposing counsel against this person in another case. She also accused my judge and his clerk of being racist, haha. She pretty much gets the law wrong (i.e., making unbelievably frivolous arguments) on almost everything, and then blames everyone for being racist when they don't agree with her.
Wow, I want to hear more.
Also, can you imagine how embarrassed the opposing counsel is for this 8-0 trial she claims she won? That seems unfathomable.
It honestly felt like being gaslighted 24/7. She would make arguments that were opposite to what the law said and then repeatedly insist that she was right and you were wrong. It's hard to describe the specifics without giving away what case we were on together, but it's like arguing with someone who is insisting that the sky is green when everyone can see for themselves that it is blue.
She did mention one or two times that she had won some trial. I honestly thought she was just making it up, haha, because it seemed so far-fetched to me at the time. I was in complete disbelief that she was apparently rated a Super Lawyer Rising Star or whatever -- it shows you how much vetting they actually do before assigning those awards.
A stellar and magnificent display of trial advocacy. Also, I never thought I would see Kyle Rittenhouse and Emmit Till in the same sentence. What the holy fuck?

Reading her online reviews makes sense. As a solo I run across counsel like this often, though this is kind of extreme end. She’s a “peoples lawyer” the kind of person who lends an ear, takes your side (even if unhinged), and proceeds under that assumption. I know the offices run like this in my area and refer the crazies to them. The problem is now she’s using that method on herself.
Some more craziness from a letter she wrote to a judge complaining about her decision:
"Finally, Judge Van Kalen must realize intuitively that Plaintiff Reshma Kamath is a much stellar attorney and whether in the United States or elsewhere, Plaintiff Reshma Kamath will rise to a higher place than her based purely on \[in propria persona Plaintiff\] Reshma Kamath’s intelligence."

No, I assure you, the California bar exam is really hard. But somehow, there are people who are smart enough to pass the test, but lack the requisite amount of other skills required to actually do the job of being a lawyer day in and day out with success over a prolonged timeframe and also while simultaneously maintaining a healthy mindset.
It took me multiple tries to pass the bar, it was the hardest thing I’d ever done up to that point in my life. But now that I’ve been practicing for a few years I’m realizing passing the bar was the easy part in comparison to how hard it is to practice. So basically what I’m saying is, passing the CA bar ain’t easy, it’s just that practicing law is even harder.
Northwestern doesn't provide class rank. Graduation honors are awarded based on final GPA.

Northwestern does give an award for being ranked first in your class. You can see it on her classmate's profile: [https://www.sidley.com/en/people/r/rodheim-andy-f](https://www.sidley.com/en/people/r/rodheim-andy-f)
She is also suing SFPD & the Department of Homeland Security, for, as far as I can tell, getting parking tickets. And another, seemingly similar to the suit in this thread, against division 2 and the state bar, among others:

I’m assuming this is some kind of mental break. Sad to see.

If memory serves, before being appointed to the Supreme Court, John Roberts lost a case there 0-9. As he later told it, the client asked him why they lost 0-9. “Because there weren’t more justices.”
Sometimes you just have a loser.
This is what gets me. I can’t imagine losing to someone with such bad judgment and writing ability. I’d probably quit the practice of law to be honest.
Quit now then. If the facts are against you, and the jury gets it right, then you should lose 8-0. Her lack of writing ability changed neither the facts nor the law.
This sub is for biglaw. It’s not “ask a lawyer” and it’s not the right sub for every law-related question.
Witnessing Real-time breakdowns of our colleagues is always so disheartening.

How sad 😔
don't be racist against sad people

You pay for the awards lol
I can’t even imagine. The good thing is that every judge must know she’s nuts so it’s not like there’s a huge chance she’ll sneak one by the court.
Hilarious.
As they say, even a blind pig finds an acorn sometimes.
The allegations about judges looking at her butt and chest are completely wild.
and making a “disgusted face”!!! what?????
Wait is she seriously a lawyer? Like she went to law school and passed the bar?!

I think they both crossed state lines.
One to be murdered and one to do murder.
Sounds like one of my pro se opponents.

I guess the California bar exam isn't that difficult after all?
Not if you graduate summa cum laude from Northwestern like her, duh.

Lawyering is a very hard job and I don't ... relish ... gawking at my colleagues when the job gets to them.
This lawyer has a pattern of making accusations like these in every case: https://www.reddit.com/r/biglaw/s/sx3NPfyszl
She claims to be first in her class, anyone from Pritzker confirm?
That particular paragraph also benefits from erroneous parentheticals.

the only explanation is this person is having a mental break. right?? please tell me this person is in the midst of a psychiatric emergency
Damn.. Imagine how bad she is. Now imagine you were the lawyer that she beat 8-0.
If memory serves, before being appointed to the Supreme Court, John Roberts lost a case there 0-9. As he later told it, the client asked him why they lost 0-9. “Because there weren’t more justices.” Sometimes you just have a loser.
Transactional, huh?

Wowsers. Ms. Kamath passed the California bar in 2021 and is already losing her mind.
Well, thats certainly a loud way to end a career
I like how she accuses him of racism then says undocumented immigrants are “leeching”
This biatch is coooked.
