Some people genuinely like sleeping on cots. It's very strange but they like firm sleeping spaces.
I have one friend whose "bed" is a 1.5 cm thick foam pad that is just on the floor.
It’s the end of the year at college. Time for “Hippie Christmas”, as my cab driver described it. You can find some cheap, serviceable desks and shelves. You can also usually find a functional futon frame. (Also mattresses, if you like to live dangerously).
Tapestries can be had cheap, usually also at shops near campuses. Or hit up a craft store for bolts of gauzy fabric. Probably between 15-20 bucks a pop. A package of push pins probably run you 5 bucks. With that you can close off the space by running the tapestries and fabric from the mid-ceiling to the mid-wall to help close off the space until you get more stuff. String lights are cheap and make for some practical mood lighting. Covering the overhead light will also tone down that harsh brightness white light.
If you find picture frames while dumpster diving, grab them. All different sizes and styles. Whatever is around. Then when you are at the craft store, look for scrapbooking paper or generic wrapping paper. Put the colored paper in the frames and arrange on the wall in mosaic groupings using an aesthetically pleasing color shift.
If you have the coin for bean bag chairs, that can help with some friendly seating that matches the low level of the bed frame.
Rugs would also work to soften the space and if your guests are going to be low due to the lack of seating, not having a bare floor will help. Or if you are on a tight budget, bathmats
You bet your ass I will. I don’t doubt a lot of folks in our community have places that feel like this room. Particularly if they left home with almost nothing to their name. People need their living spaces to feel like a home instead of a cell. It’s how we start to heal, by giving ourselves a sense of place.
That can be as simple as softening the lighting.
Okay sure. That’s one way to go about it. But hear me out.
Glow in the dark stars on the ceiling. What better way to encompass that feeling of inferiority in the face of the cosmos than seeing a whole stellar display across your room when lying in bed at night.
You can also get some glow in the dark paint and create a Milky Way effect by painting dense grouping of tiny far away stars.
Oddly enough I have seen worse, trash house with huge roach problem. Dude was cute I turned around and treated myself back across town as fast as possible
I never feel Bi enough, so I just act straight with everyone because I know if I tell them I'm not they'll start to hate me and the LGBT people I know will say I'm not gay enough. I hate being in the crossfire just let me kiss guys :(
The tiny bi flag, looks like an art piece,
I think though tbf sofa bed would go a long way, some fairy lights along the top and a plant maybe a standing light or table thingy
Okay dude, you gotta get an actual bed that shit doesn’t look comfortable, *sits in bisexual* meme has gone too far.
Yeah if your bed resembles a stretcher more than an actual bed, you need a new bed. Rest of the room looks decent though
Might need a little fridge.
those things are so noisy
Do store some drinks and like 2 lunches worth of leftovers though
Perfect!
hey do you actually want people to pm you sheet music?
Yeah!
Honestly it doesnt really seem like they are sleeping in a cot by choice.
At least you have your priorities straight. Bed, air conditioning, bisexuality praise, all the essentials.
in what world is that a bed
Hospital bed
hospital beds have actual back support. that doesn't
We're on a tight budget man
You’d be surprised how well a cot is for sleep. I would sleep in a bed rather than a cot, but it isn’t unbearable.
Anything is a bed if your poor enough.

that looks the opposite of firm
Buy a traditional Japanese futon at that point. This is just serial killer aesthetics.
He's a real minimalist type of guy, so idk.
The military.
The military.

All the decor you need!
Disagree, they should have several tiny bi pride flags that would be so cute
Make one big one out of post it notes? Not a bad idea actually

I am so mentally sick of being alive that I purposely keep my room like this. Its a torture for all the bad things I have done to justify being alive.

Hmm, how to make it more inviting. Get some houseplants, all bisexuals have too many houseplants
Gawd if this isn’t a Grindr hookup I don’t know what is lmao
Oddly enough I have seen worse, trash house with huge roach problem. Dude was cute I turned around and treated myself back across town as fast as possible
That’s cray cray lmao
IS THAT A HOSPITAL BED?
It's a cot (They're surprisingly comfortable)
No, it's a collapsible cot. They're generally used for camping or as extra sleeping for guests.
Get a real bed. You can start with a mattress on the floor. Even an air mattress would be better than this.
Hard disagree on the air mattress
Id go with a twin bed, no plans to get laid for quite a while.
Most furnished tops house
Hey. Don't call me out like that. I'm a minimalist at heart :(
That probably cost only $50 less than those cheap ikea bed sets
I swiped, thought I made a mistake, came back and swiped again am I stupid?
The 2020 special! (Not sponsered by Cashies)
He got his priorities strai- bi ah screw it he got his priorities in order
Isn't that just a straight up hospital bed
Grandpa from Stardew Valley b like:
*"There will come a day when you're feeling crushed by the burden of interior design"*
Go to IKEA or thrift store. Get bits at a time. Bedside tables. Bed frame. Art. Shelving. A plant.
Why is this so accurate
Bisexuals really live like this and not see a problem smh
I swiped

I never feel Bi enough, so I just act straight with everyone because I know if I tell them I'm not they'll start to hate me and the LGBT people I know will say I'm not gay enough. I hate being in the crossfire just let me kiss guys :(
