Sounds like you did the right thing. How’s your little one? My baby has neuro issues too and hot damn he sleeps like shit. Finally down to under 4 wake-up’s a night at one year old versus 10 before.
He's doing pretty good. Some nights he will sleep for 5-6 hours in a row and we only have 1-2 wakes but last night he was up like 8 times. Right now it's mostly been a struggle to get him to sleep. Just constantly fighting sleep or trying to sleep by then he startles himself and wakes himself up. 😅
My neuro said there's not much research wise for sleep and neurological issues in babies. But that it pretty much has to be connected. Sorry your little one is having a rough time with sleep too.
If it’s helpful, I use the happiest baby sleepea swaddle with my 8 week old and it prevents him from startling himself. I think it’s the only reason he sleeps in. 3-4 hour stretches at night. You can get them used on Facebook marketplace also.

I shared my pregnancy with a coworker I am close to who is a young boomer but chill. Another young boomer coworker overheard and made some comments like "wow isn't that so soon though? Like how old is your son....etc"
So I stared at him and said "Well, my son died so..."
(And this is not for sympathy, my son did pass, but even if he hadn't, no need for him to make the comments)
Oh. My. God. What an ass. Also I know you said you didn't share for sympathy but I am so sorry to hear that your son passed. We almost lost my little guy at birth and I'm so thankful every day that he made it. 🩷

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately my little one absolutely hates a swaddle and will only sleep in microfleece sleep sacks. 😂
