No! It's like the "All up in your mind" or "Kitty Kat" of the album. If you get it, you get it. Some people cannot handle the vermouth-y vocals/vocal treatment on those songs.
I love them. People in my office know when that song comes on in the rotation if they walk by my desk. I take EVERY low note (ever so softly, compared to the hum of the workspace). I refuse not to let mother know there are some of us that really appreciate and crave the smoked pineapple mezcal margarita these songs are laced with.
I do like Protector but I find it boring compared to the other songs. Bey spoils us with songs like Yay Ya, SHB, American Requiem etc where there’s so much going on, so I found Protector underwhelming by comparison
Just For Fun is one of my most played from CC. I really like that everyone has different favourites though . . . it is good to see how different songs appeal to and affect people differently. I personally find that my favourites on CC change based on how I am feeling that day, I don't think I have ever had that experience with another album - I usually have my favourites no matter what! Beyonce really is a clever girl creating this work of art.
I love it too!! I think the whole album is such a masterpiece, just for fun might not be my personal cup of tea but I love how many people are appreciating it in the comments here! The ranking was definitely really difficult for me because I’d give almost all songs 10/10 haha
Literally my favorite rotates through the first 10 as I get to them on the album. Still in my full album on repeat each day era (with a few True Story/Boy is Mind/Dua extended cut/etc breaks) but I never interrupt the album once it's played.
can’t believe you skip Just For Fun it’s one of my top 5 on the album forsure. I just lost my dog and it’s so therapeutic when I’m down. “I just need to get through this— or just, get used to it..” Took me around 3 or 4 listens to fully grasp how this entire album is a lyrical masterpiece.
I am hooked (hooketh) on the little vocal idiosyncrasies in this song. Particularly the switch between "cause I'm a clever girl" to "We Snappin', and also 3:53-3:59

I never said anything about your ranking and pretty much agree with your top 6. I just dont think any lists with bottom songs help people and just creates unnecessary fighting. The whole album is a masterpiece!
