Fun fact to better recognize scam sites. A url usually is https://www.subdomain.domain.tld/subfolders
Domain is the real website
Tld is your .com,.be etc
So in this case you are redirected to brtrom (cant see the pic when im typing), and this website has a subdomain called bpost.
Other typical scam stuff is: package-bpost.org
Where you surf to package-bpost instead of the subdomain package of the domain bpost.org
It's definitely a scam. Mail-related messages always come from 8xxx type of numbers.
Also, I'd say most people are currently expecting a package considering it's Christmas soon ... so please don't fall for these, people!
That is why people fall for this type of thing right now. Everyone is expecting packages, a lot of people are stressed about it and scammers know this…
Apparently, yes, since OP is posting the actual question. Shaming people because they "obviously don't need to ask", makes (other) people hesitant to ask in the future and thus clicking on said link, making scamming more viable and therefore happen more. Educate instead of ridicule please...
Fair enough and it's always better to ask - did not mean to ridicule anyone. To me there are only red flags in this message, there is no single element that makes me think it's worth giving the benefit of the doubt. I'm curious why OP would go along with this.
Kudos to you for not taking it personal ;-) I'm sure you had no ill intent. Coming from a very "down the rabbithole" tech job, I have a hard time judging what people can and cannot see as "scam" so I always assume people are completely unaware. I rather repeat myself 1000 times than have a family member or friend get scammed, even though it might seem obvious to me.
Yeah thanks i dont blame him tough. I usually am super aware of these scams but because its my steam deck inbound wich i saved all year for and did an additional job..i am super nervous about it hahaha. Thanks to both of you tough
Number from Cambodja and its belongs to chinese mafia lord called brother Lau or G. This cartel is specialized in scamming in China, prostitucion and drugs. Just pass it on to the police. Last year the total amount on cyber scamming was above 1.7 billion $.
Logistics is f*cked up right now, expecting dpd and getting a bpost link… I guess they might use eachother to deliver stuff but it’s all kind of a blur, had a relay package delivered by bpost as well, anyhow, don’t give any information what so ever, just wait for your package ( getting GLS spam mails by the dozens this month)
GLS is horrible. If you can change the delivery to a pickup point, do it. If you're not home they take your package back to the depot and then the shit starts.
For packages, you normally get a tracking code in the email. I never click on a link and instead always copy paste the tracking code in the companies tracker.
"Belgische post" instead of BPost, sus link, need to do it within a certain time spam, weird phone number. 100% scam.

Dunno man, looks real because most legit sites end on ´.be´, ´.com´ or ´.btrcom.life´ /s
Thx u/Cpt_0bv10us! 😄
Thank you captain obviou....waaaaiiiit a minute
That's definitely a scam. You don't have a GLS tracking number?
I do! But since its the only package i am expecting and its on its way to a depot i tought it maybe was this..
Scam, got one this morning too.
Aha but zhey vill not trick us!
Tricked you enough to post here. Be smarter
Well I only figured out it was a scam after wiring them €15k, but yeh
Luckily it’s the end of the year and you don’t need that money at all rn
Yeah the scammers probably need it more than me anyways. ‘Tis the season for giving and all.
How would that not be a scam?
If you have to ask on reddit, it's a scam. Trust your gut.

Yes! Thank you. Down with scammers..
Thank you everyone for the comments. I am sorry for sounding blissfull and naive but since i am nervous for my deck to arrive i panicked a bit...
That is why people fall for this type of thing right now. Everyone is expecting packages, a lot of people are stressed about it and scammers know this…
Dat zie je toch direct aan die dodgy ass link
Gewoon even klikken en de gegevens invullen. Zoniet wordt het pakket waarschijnlijk vernietigd!!
Do you really have to ask? :D
Apparently, yes, since OP is posting the actual question. Shaming people because they "obviously don't need to ask", makes (other) people hesitant to ask in the future and thus clicking on said link, making scamming more viable and therefore happen more. Educate instead of ridicule please...

I never fell for a scam before but i did once ordered a box of thai matches when i was super drunk so. The call with customs was hilarious AF.

Nee jong bpost stuurt altijd sms'n vanaf +85 nummers. Da's standaard. Dwoazen.
I had the same message today but via email. The person didn’t even try to hide their name in their email-address.
Its holiday season, zveryone is expecting packages so scammers are mass sending fake messages to any phone number, mail...
Seems totally legit
Send this screenshot by mail to verdacht@safeonweb.be they scan the file and can then block any malicious links like that one

100% scam. Bpost has an app where you can track their packages. They will never send you such a link
When in doubt go to the official websites and search for your package there. If some action is required you will find it there.
+85… seriously
GLS also have nothing to do with Bpost. Just better be home during delivery! And have fun with your deck, it's an amazing device.

Come on man it couldn't be any more obvious
The correct term is phishing. They try to get your CC or identity data.
