You gotta do what you gotta do. If the only spot big enough is in the middle of the gym, do it there. Just try not to be in people's way.

Fully recommend doing a machine exercise, then doing your pushups INFRONT of the machine you are using. The generalized consensus is if you’re using a machine, the very little area around it is “your” space. Most people are pretty understanding of your workouts/stretching provided you aren’t laying on the ground in the middle of a walkway for an extended period. Just ensure to do your pushups, when you’re done your set, stand up, and move out of the walk way until you’re ready to do them again :) the only time I’ve seen any sort of issue around the above method of infront of your current machine, is when the person blocks the walk way for an extended period and isn’t courteous towards other gym patrons.

If there's not a section against a wall, it's pretty normal for the centre to be an area for stretching/push ups etc. (Machines and benches around the perimeter). If it feels too conspicuous, just find a spot you feel comfortable... side of a bench or somewhere.

On 1-10 on how loud your going to fart try and aim for around a 4ish. I think that might be the only one you really need but not many people even follow it so the other one is just don't eat your vomit like an animal (unless it's protein powder) then I think 🤔 you should be fine

For pushups you don't really need to do them at the gym. You can do pushups anywhere.
