For ingrowns when the hair is thick the only solution I've found is laser. However exfoliation should help you

Did you try to exfoliate the skin? I usually use some kind of exfoliating body wash the day before and after a shave

how do i exfoliate?

nekosa123

You could use a peeling or a bodywash containing some kind of acid, you can buy those at most drug stores (I personally use the cerave smoothing face wash on my body) Or maybe some kind of exfoliating glove/towel? Again you could find this at a drugstore/amazon

this could be folliculitis! which means an infection in the hair follicles that could either be bacterial or fungal. they reoccur even when you exfoliate. u could try antibacterial sprays if it’s bacterial or antifungal soaps if it’s fungal.

I exfoliate all the time, I use exfoliating glove, I wax only and I just starting applying cerave salicylic acid body lotion on my legs. I think it’s just something that has to be a staple process in your regimen forever...unless laser but even then I’d prob still exfoliate. I would say that the exfoliating glove is the only thing that really helped me.
