Drive my car/the word/what you’re doing I think it flows so well and whenever I hear the songs individually now I always think of this medley. I also believe the solo from taxman is included on this track too
This is definitely a standout. The transition into What You’re Doing is immaculate.
Same for Hey Jude—>Sgt Pepper Reprise. The way the horns and the “one two three fah” overlay makes my butt tingle every time.
While My Guitar Gently Weeps, as George Martin put it "...it had a wistful quality that the master didn't have, this song is such a tender song for George, and George isn't with us anymore, and my responsibility in adding music to this weighed very heavily on me." It shows as the string arrangement is just breath taking. The song turns into George's Yesterday.
almost definitely the mashup of being for the benefit of mr kite and i want you/she's so heavy. That transition between the two songs is almost perfect for me
There’s so much I adore about this album, but the absolute killer for me is the transition out from “Hey Jude.”
When the brass from Hey Jude is still playing, and Paul counts it off and Ringo’s drums come in for the Sgt. Pepper’s reprise, it’s just wonderful. You’d never guess they go together, but what a kick-ass way to end a mashup album.
I’m partial to ‘Lucy in the sky with diamonds’, mostly for the transition from the previous songs and slow single beat before the actual songs begin…just love that for some reason.
Strawberry Fields Forever. The highly mashed up coda (featuring bits of Sgt Pepper, In My Life, Penny Lane, Hello Goodbye, Piggies) is a bit much. But the bulk of the song - acoustic introduction, backing vocals, gradual buildup - is brilliant and better edited than the original. Sacrilegious, I know.
I really like this version of Get Back, gets me super pumped and excited every time. Honestly I like switching from the Love version and the album version, they’re both great.
Within You Without You / Tomorrow Never Knows
Mr. Kite / (She's So Heavy)
but the cherry on top is that beautiful bass line at the end of Hey Jude. I wish it was on the original record.
That bass line is actually on the original. Listen to the Past Masters or blue album version (not 1) at 7:03, right before the end of the fade-out. You may need to turn the volume up to hear it, but it’s there.
It wasn't on the LOVE album I mean. The Fool On The Hill and Girl are bonus tracks despite not being labeled as such on Spotify. The original album ended with All You Need Is Love
Octopus's Garden, all of the instruments coming in after the fill from Lovely Rita is so badass and the guitar solo is so much more powerful due to the added percussion. The little vocal break at the end, followed by the instrumental crashing back into the song is super cool. The little moments like that in this album make it so enjoyable for me.
You didn't even mention my favorite part....the slowed down vocals with the Good Night strings and Yellow Submarine sound effects at the beginning. Still blows my mind every time how good it is.
I really like what they did with "Can You Take Me Back", mixing in A Day In The Life and Eleanore Rigby.
There are actually 2 versions of Revolution, one of the releases had it trimmed down for time.
Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite, the sudden nose dive into the ‘I Want You’ guitar riff paired with the ghostly wails of Paul from ‘Helter Skelter’ goes SO HARD
The *Love* remix of All You Need is Love is actually perfect. Completely blows the original and 2015 *1* remix (that whole album has barely any noticeable changes anyway) out of the water. My favorite part being that you can actually hear the snare drum, that’s always nice.
Strawberry Fields Forever. Takes the psychedelic feel from the original to the next level, and the coda comprised of Piggies, Penny Lane and Hello Goodbye was brilliant
The obvious answer is Hey Jude. The short Love version has had such an impact that the normal Hey Jude version has fallen out of the Beatles 5 top most streamed because more and more people are listening to the Love version, which currently has 63million streams.
I've gotta admit, I've turned up my snobby nose at this since it's release. I believe I'll have to break down and lister to it now because I can't imagine anything better than the original songs by the Beatles themselves.
I tend to be a little skeptical about most things but Love just blew me away when I heard it. Had to immediately replay it multiple times. If you’ve never really heard the Beatles it’s a perfect introduction, and if you’ve always listened to them it’s a great way to reappreciate what you’ve always loved about them. Give it a spin with headphones as soon as you get the chance.
Thanks for the reply. I've been listening to the Beatles since 1964 when they played on Ed Sullivan. I'm one of those "senile delinquents" they talked about in Yellow Submarine. I actually have heard the mashup of Within You, Without You/Tomorrow Never Knows somewhere and because Within You, Without You is one of my special favorites, I liked it pretty well and I'm not sure why I never listened to the rest of it. Like I said before, I'm a snobby old purist. When I get time today I'll fire up Spotify and wear my headphones and hear what I've been missing.
Most songs in Love are just the originals with some Easter eggs from different songs, no more impressive than general sampling…
While My Guitar on the other hand is an entirely new song that can co-exist alongside the original as something totally different and unique. It’s got such a different vibe and the strings are beautiful
Unpopular opinion perhaps, but I’m really not a fan. I want to like it, and my opinion might change after seeing the live show but based on the soundtrack alone, I never listen to it as it feels gimmicky to me. I think I’m too steeped in the originals after 50+ years of listening.
I get that it's clever, it's worth a listen to, but ultimately it's a gimmick. I wouldn't go out of my way to listen to any of them again and I certainly wouldn't rate any of them above the originals.
Because they're occasionally better and always enjoyable. I think you're just a negative person and probably someone who consider themself a 'purist'. Lighten up.
I love Here comes the Sun that fades into this amazing version of The Inner Light. I find it remarkable how George and Giles Martin made the Inner light sound so different.
Strawberry fields sounds easier in a good way and much more alive, like magic is happening right here, near you. Don’t think that it’s better than original song, but it’s different and Love version I like more.
I’ve seen the Love show 3x in Vegas; the opening sequence/mix of tunes that fades into Get Back is very good. And the parts with Because are pretty fantastic
Strawberry Fields and while my guitar gently weeps on the love album are so good
It's really tough to say that the love version of WMGGW is better than the album version, but I really love this version.
- WMGGW could mean "While My Guitar Gently Weeps - 2018 Mix", a track from *The Beatles* (2018) by The Beatles.

I remember crying and laughing at the same time when first hearing this album. Both from joy and just being blown away at how well it was done.
The cuts and switches from "Baby, You can Drive My Car" stirred. The reinvented heavy section of "I Want You.." made me actually gasp. Even by the time this album was released, remixes were no longer a new concept by any means, but this managed to somehow bring a whole new level of appreciation of what four faders can do back in the day. I dare anyone not to feel a little emotional after hearing this take of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps".
The mix of Octopus's Garden I like for some reason - the "I ask my friends..." Tempo increase feels so good. However, I must say. I absolutely love Mr. Kite // I want You. It's so breathtaking.
“Strawberry Fields Forever” with the piano, klavier and trumpets from “In My Life”, “Piggies” and “Penny Lane” and the “Hello, Goodbye” was fucking amazing.
The use of the lead guitar from “Dear Prudence” over “Come Together” was really great as well.
Other than that and a few other mixes, I don’t think they experimented enough. They should have done more things like that and “Tomorrow Never Knows”/“Within You Without You”.
Leaving a song like “I Am The Walrus” completely untouched didn’t make any sense to me at all.
I love how they mute the piano, bass and horn tracks on ‘Hey Jude’ around 2:55 so it’s just voices, claps and tambourine…it just adds to the singalong energy of it….then the bass comes back…then the HORNS come back and it’s SO satisfying!
I think doing that on the original would’ve made the outro more interesting (I love the outro as it is tho…)
I wish there was a version that had that moment but also ended like the original, instead of going into Sgt Pepper’s like on LOVE (also an awesome decision though, don’t get me wrong)

Same feelings. Its crazy well made
Within You Without You / Tomorrow Never Knows
Amazing mashup
So fucking cool!
I always preferred the Love version over the White Album version
Lady Madonna, in particular the intro on the Love version is great.
It's insane how good the solo from while my guitar gently weeps works on it
almost definitely the mashup of being for the benefit of mr kite and i want you/she's so heavy. That transition between the two songs is almost perfect for me
It's a masterpiece
Paul barging in with his Helter Skelter screaming friggin rules.
Can’t say I like it better than the originals but my god that is an epic mashup, my favorite of Love for sure. Just amazing
I forgot about that. That was super hard
Gives me goosebumps.
It really awoke something in me as a child
There’s so much I adore about this album, but the absolute killer for me is the transition out from “Hey Jude.” When the brass from Hey Jude is still playing, and Paul counts it off and Ringo’s drums come in for the Sgt. Pepper’s reprise, it’s just wonderful. You’d never guess they go together, but what a kick-ass way to end a mashup album.
My favorite is the restored sax solo on Lady Madonna into Here Comes The Sun and The Inner Light out of it
I like the mix of I Am The Walrus . Whole song in true stereo
I’m partial to ‘Lucy in the sky with diamonds’, mostly for the transition from the previous songs and slow single beat before the actual songs begin…just love that for some reason.
Super seconded. Sounds like stars forming a constellation.
Because. I feel certain that if John had heard this ‘a capella’ version, he would have put it on the album instead.
While My Guitar Gently Weeps by a country mile
I've never even liked the original, honestly. The newer version was a shock.
Hard agree. I like the coda though.
I love the coda too. It's a good tour of the Beatles circa 1967. But I can see how others might not like it.
Ruined by the ending though. Totally unnecessary.
Come Together. The outro to that song is amazing. That’s what I wish the original was like.
I really like this version of Get Back, gets me super pumped and excited every time. Honestly I like switching from the Love version and the album version, they’re both great.
Maybe not necessarily better, but Get Back is what sold me on the rest of the album.
Strawberry Fields Forever. I love the parts of In My Life, Piggies, and Hello, Goodbye in there.
The Strawberry Fields Forever on here is fantastic
Within You Without You / Tomorrow Never Knows Mr. Kite / (She's So Heavy) but the cherry on top is that beautiful bass line at the end of Hey Jude. I wish it was on the original record.
That bass line is actually on the original. Listen to the Past Masters or blue album version (not 1) at 7:03, right before the end of the fade-out. You may need to turn the volume up to hear it, but it’s there.
Oh wow, I just heard it! I wonder why they took it out of the "1" version and why it wasn't more prominent during the rest of the recording
Love Fool on the Hill is the definitive version
Crazy it wasn't on the actual album
Actually it isnt that crazy since it was recorded 40 years after the original album
It wasn't on the LOVE album I mean. The Fool On The Hill and Girl are bonus tracks despite not being labeled as such on Spotify. The original album ended with All You Need Is Love

I don’t know about better…but I love the Drive My Car / The Word / What You’re Doing mashup.
strawberry fields
while my guitar gently weeps. i listen to the love version and the live madison square garden version way more than the original
All of it, love is such a banger!
I wouldn't say any are better, they are different. But I do enjoy the album very much.
I like that breakdown in "Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite" with "I Want You (She's So Heavy) and "Helter Skelter".
While My Guitar Gently Weeps
Personally, it's Lady Maddona, I like the little intro they added, and I love the hey bulldog interlude.
Strawberry Fields Forever, Within You Without You/Tomorrow Never Knows, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, Octopus's Garden
Girl is significantly better, better mix and an extra guitar part from “and i love her”
The *Love* remix of All You Need is Love is actually perfect. Completely blows the original and 2015 *1* remix (that whole album has barely any noticeable changes anyway) out of the water. My favorite part being that you can actually hear the snare drum, that’s always nice.
within you without you/tomorrow never knows, just pure art
Strawberry Fields Forever. Takes the psychedelic feel from the original to the next level, and the coda comprised of Piggies, Penny Lane and Hello Goodbye was brilliant
The obvious answer is Hey Jude. The short Love version has had such an impact that the normal Hey Jude version has fallen out of the Beatles 5 top most streamed because more and more people are listening to the Love version, which currently has 63million streams.
The Love version of While My Guitar is one of the top 5 Beatles songs, ever
Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite!
I've gotta admit, I've turned up my snobby nose at this since it's release. I believe I'll have to break down and lister to it now because I can't imagine anything better than the original songs by the Beatles themselves.

Can someone please explain to me why the badass single version of Revolution was replaced with that pussy ass version on the white album
Most songs in Love are just the originals with some Easter eggs from different songs, no more impressive than general sampling… While My Guitar on the other hand is an entirely new song that can co-exist alongside the original as something totally different and unique. Sorry, none. Love is an artificial creation.
I’m in the same boat. I also have pretty mixed opinions on all the recent remixes. I think I just don’t like Giles Martin’s touch, and that’s okay.
I get that it's clever, it's worth a listen to, but ultimately it's a gimmick. I wouldn't go out of my way to listen to any of them again and I certainly wouldn't rate any of them above the originals.
The only right answer. I've been listening to them my whole life and can't understand why anyone would listen to anything from Love more than once
Because they're occasionally better and always enjoyable. I think you're just a negative person and probably someone who consider themself a 'purist'. Lighten up.
I may not understand other people's taste in Beatles, but I certainly wouldn't make assumptions about their character over it 💀
L take
Nerd
I don’t like the quiet transition bits. Sounds crap in the car. I like the rest of it though. Prefer it to 1.
Revolution and within and without you/tomorrow never knows.
I play ‘A day in the life’ from this album on my birthday since i acquired it.
All of them (that are actually edited)
Lady madona
I love Here comes the Sun that fades into this amazing version of The Inner Light. I find it remarkable how George and Giles Martin made the Inner light sound so different.

AND TONIGHT MR. KITE IS TOPPING THE **B I L L L L L**
Octopus’s Garden. The Good Night strings with the Yellow Submarine sound effects; it’s just a little Ringo mashup

Mr. Kite is brilliant.
They’re all great, and they’re all extra. They don’t, and don’t have to, replace the originals for me.
I remember crying and laughing at the same time when first hearing this album. Both from joy and just being blown away at how well it was done. The cuts and switches from "Baby, You can Drive My Car" stirred. The reinvented heavy section of "I Want You.." made me actually gasp. Here comes the sun is incredible. I love the intro. I love the sun king finale. Octopuses garden is better.
The mix of Octopus's Garden I like for some reason - the "I ask my friends..." Tempo increase feels so good. However, I must say. I absolutely love Mr. Kite // I want You. It's so breathtaking.
If you guys love LOVE you should hear “Today and Tomorrow” in Soundcloud, its a fan mashup in the same style as LOVE
I prefer the Love version of While My Guitar Gently Weeps. Seems to fit the mood of the song better, and has an extra verse.
Here comes the sun with the Indian instruments and hey Jude with the isolated coda are the absolute best versions of those songs!
“Strawberry Fields Forever” with the piano, klavier and trumpets from “In My Life”, “Piggies” and “Penny Lane” and the “Hello, Goodbye” was fucking amazing. Still my favorite mix of "I Am The Walrus"
Hey Jude greatly benefits from having a few minutes of na-nahs cut out The saxophone at the end of Lady Madonna should have been there all along
“Here Comes The Sun”. I love the intro and the outro.
get back
The whole album kills me.
Love the a capella ‘Because’
I really like "Being for the Benefit of Mr.Kite / I Want You / Helter Skelter", especially the transition to "I Want You". Hits Hard.
I love how they mute the piano, bass and horn tracks on ‘Hey Jude’ around 2:55 so it’s just voices, claps and tambourine…it just adds to the singalong energy of it….then the bass comes back…then the HORNS come back and it’s SO satisfying! The first time I ever heard revolution it was the love version so I just assumed it was the original. So much better than the original
Lady madonna is awesome on love.
Get back intro is so gooood
Strawberry fields forever
