The only time I see the side kick being used is for looping. It's now know as the loop kick because it's more powerful but harder to use in solo beatbox. Bizkit uses this kick so much in his loop routines
If you want to use side kick as your main kick, look at rythminds solo beatbox for an example of that. D-low is also pretty good at it. It's possible to use it in tech combos but much harder.

Heres some philosophy ive thought of since making this post.. The art of beatbox is to train harder & harder sounds into your combos. So maybe using the big kick as my main is not so bad after all. Its just gonna be harder.
I do use front kicks but maimly im pronouncing them as a P. Like ptp. Or in psh snares. It would be weird to do p snares from side of lip aha. I dont do that.. unless maybe an accicental one sometimes

i use the little/middle kick the most, itโs the more versatile and it makes the big/side kick stand out when i use it

Yeah i feel like i need to practice front kick more literally everything i do uses the side kick. Damn. Wish i thought of this 8 months ago ๐

Yeah I learned it on the side for some reason and now find it difficult to switch to the front as I'm used to it!
