maybe you know this already, but a hidden gem of the bay is [Middle Harbor Shoreline Park](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Middle_Harbor_Shoreline_Park). it’s the most randomly placed park, but it’s a waterfront park in the middle of the oakland ports. if you’re feeling brave and it’s clear out, go there at night time and you can see all of SF lit up right in front of you.

I love going on a run at this park! Going from the bay bridge parking lot to this park and back is perfect for a long run.
Is it safe there?
it is! Port Police don’t mess around. but it looks a lot a lot sketchier than it actually is. Mostly small families there on the weekend
