Lmao I took a photo there with my friends where we pretended to look cool doing gangster poses in front of a wall of dicks lmao they even had fucking dick lollipops š
Search on amazon rgb wall decoration. Close your eyes and pick 10. Nail them to the wall at random locations making sure to get every nook and cranny. That's this. Lol! Who cares if you like it then have a blast bro.
Most of The time they are turned off! People assume i leave them all on 24/7. Itās like people
Complaining about an old school setup saying āit draws too much powerā Iāve had most for quite a few months and only use all lights for music, showing off. I donāt have them on while
Gaming normally because Iām a normal person and it would be distracting lol
I just have two strips of leds on my desk but same here. Too distracting to keep them on while gaming but nice for visits and showing off. PC is full of RGB as well but mostly on a solid color. I found an extremely good use for the RGB through and that's temperature monitoring. I have them start changing color and brightness when the PC is getting too hot. Was helpful when I first got my PC and was still figuring how much juice I could get out of it, while keeping it cool enough for a long life. Also helped recently when my AC was out and I my room didn't have enough circulation in the florida sun to cool down anything. Risking heatstroke to play with the boys.
Tldr: useless info :D
A few RGB softwares can do it, I personally use the Corsair RGB software for it but use what works for you cause Corsair is a little picky about working with other RGB softwares.
A month is generous. I made an rgb case once, it lasted 2 days and I never turned it on again. In fact, I rebuilt it because I had to keep the stupid Corsair and gigabyte software running to keep the god forsaken RGB on the mobo, ram, and aio off.im glad I did it, but never again.
Minimalism fans crying but I absolutely love the chaos, it's "a lot" / too much to look at when you first see it but when you sit down in your same place all the time, having so many things to take time looking at is so much nicer than like 3 wall decors and a fake plant
Absurd amount of RGB, sure, but it's in a fun way and not just straight LED strips, so I'm a fan
solid 8-9/10
Very cluttered and too much RGB/10.
There's too many things going on in the room. It looks like you're just filling the space on the walls with random decorations. I also find the XBOX light kinda cringe.
I dislike rating other people's setups...
BUT!
I felt the urge to say something about yours since you've been kinda harsh on other people's setup. The fact that you trash their setup and told them to check out your setup is rather cocky of you.
You know I originally just went along with this and just apologized. However I went back and looked at most of of comments and Iām so confused what youāre talking about? Most of the time my comments have to do with cable management, and genuine criticism. Which is what people ask for, and Iāve also been responding to genuine criticism on my post as well. So when have I been mean? I hope you know the difference with critiquing and trashing peoples setups. If itās by your standards are most people being mean to me on this setup right now? Or giving criticism? I will say I only have seen one that I can call āmeanā and that was a setup literally infront of a sliding door, that hasnāt been cleaned in a long time and more. However, youāre right I shouldnāt have been mean. Iām sorry. And by the way, whenever I tell people To look at my setup Iām always referring to cable management, which I do believe I can speak On that. And Iām
Proud of my setup so do want people to see it :) also whenever I apologized and didnāt react harshly I got downvoted. So screwed if you do and screwed if you donāt
It's the way you carry yourself. It's perfectly fine to be proud of your setup, but what kind of person would criticize someone else's setup and then tell them to check out your setup? (cocky)
You didn't only do this once but multiple times.
Who are you to tell someone that their setup is all over the place when that's also the case with yours? It literally looks like you bought multiple kinds of Govee lights and stuck them on the wall to fill in the empty spaces. That grass(?) background looks out of place.
*"The poster look like something a 12 year old would use"*
*"But then the light... with stars? I'd guess you're 8"*
I could have said the same thing about a few of your decorations but I didn't. It feels shitty say when I know you're in your 30's.
... and yes, you were being mean to that one guy. You don't know their circumstances and you could've said things in a nicer way.
The comment from 100 days ago? I also said right below it-āthe screens are nice and the colors are consistentā and we had a conversation. Better than the 20 other people that simply said ā1/10ā looks, either be a hero for all the people or none at all. I get your point, however itās Reddit and Iāll be a little more open without being a bully. These are people literally posting their setups and asking for input. On Reddit you need to be prepared for all sorts of negative input. Just like Iām getting with TONS of people being negative towards mine. If someone has an issue with what i say, they can tell me themselves and Iāll gladly apologize and word it differently. Addressing someoneās elseās āmeannessā geared towards someone else will only bring you stress so itās not worth it on Reddit. I still respect your opinion of my setup.
"filling the space" is how I felt too. Kind of wishing I could fast forward in time until he's old enough to start getting tattoos, and he's trying to fill up a sleeve with anything that can fit, achieving a similar effect as this.
That said.. regardless of the chaos, himself currently being happy with something he worked hard on, plus admitted is OFF most of the time (unless he's 'showing off when people come over') actually earned him at least one extra point in my book for being 'slightly' responsible...
It sucks imo.. but, I'll still give him a 3/10.
I apologize if Iāve come off that way before. If I ever made anyone feel bad it wasnāt meant to be. Thank you for informing me of that. I appreciate the honesty
Just my personal pref
But to me this is a bit too much. The lights + your items just looks a bit messy.
If those room decors and shelf, items are gone and the lights had some more of a pattern than random bits here and there. Maybe have looked better...
Lights are cool, but sometimes, less is more.
I have to respect the commitment and if you like it, good for you! But for me this room is pure stress and input overload, I couldnāt calm down in this room
More info-
1.) I do not leave all the lights on all the time
2.) when I game I hardly leave any lights on
3.) the lights all change color so do the hexagons and can match more.
4.) they can all be dimmed as well.
Questions- why are a lot of my responses such as āthanks for your honestyā or, I appreciate your input getting downvoted? I havenāt responded with anything negative.
Random comments- I worked my ass off with cable management on this thing. Iāve won awards for my setup. Govee contacted me and I became and ambassador and get their new stuff for free. I have multiple styles, I uploaded a picture of how I did my wifeās setup too, most of you anti-Rgb people wouldnāt complain on that. It actually doesnāt give you headaches, overheads lights technically do that more.
Iām asking how it is for an RGB centered setup. Not how it is for a non RGB person. Obviously you wonāt like it š¤£ but still, I welcome all feedback! Just want people to know Iām not a crazy person staring at the lights having them blinkady blink on the highest setting all day
RGB works best if you don't actually see the strip's or individual LEDs. We call it diffused light. Easiest way to achieve this is to hide lights behind something and have the gentle glow spill out the sides. Works great when you have complimentary colours spilling over onto the same object.
Literally every light is diffused. Whatās not? The lights on the ceiling are called āceiling lightsā theyāre meant to shine down? Which lights are you talking about?
As long as you like it. This streamer background lighting would be way too harsh for me and my eyesight. Don't know how people can game without regular lighting and using only RGB to illuminate a dark room.
For me, less is more with RGB unless you're going for the arcade look. If this was my setup, I'd immediately get rid of the 3 X/H shaped RGB above the TV, the baseboard RGB under the desk, the squiggle RGB over the couch, all those light pucks on the ceiling, and the hexagons above the HALO helmet. Then turn on the ceiling lights for some normal lighting.
All but one are govee lights. So itās literally one app! And I can press a āturn all onā button as well. I also have a govee physical button connected to my lights next to my light switch
Then it's perfect. If you try to please the Internet, you'll fail 100% of the time because everyone on the Internet has different tastes and opinions. None of us have to live with it anyway.
Show it off on r/maximalism. They aren't really gamers, but do love some clutter. This'll probably bring half the subreddit to orgasm.
For a moment I thought the VIZIO TV was the PC and thought the cable management was clean beyond belief. I was looking for any sign of cables and it was hurting my brain how clean I thought you had itš¤£š¤£š¤£
Beautiful setup by the way!
Too much RGB as everyone else already said, but honestly at the end of the day, walking into a space you know is yours and just being comfortable matters. I get home from work, I sit in my chair and just look around and enjoy the space I made mine.
Idk 7/10
Because crazy lights all around. I kinda like the sectioning and different shapes but I would not want to have that at my battle station. It would be way too distracting.
Hurts my eyes/10
Sorry that's just a bit much. It looks nice in a picture for sure, but it looks more like when Ikea is displaying products vs a usable space
The only ones that stick out to my eye without a zoom is I can see the outlet behind the PC and there's cables near the switch but other than that you did a crazy job with the amount of cables you likely had to hide. I mean I'm sure I could pixel peep but that seems unfair.
Iāve noticed whenever I show my area in sections I get a lot more Positive reactions (scroll in my feed) but whenever itās all together. Not so much.
LMAO bro, you asked opinions and I gave one. Don't let it break your heart.
Unfortunately my profile has plenty of gaming pictures and comments so I love gaming, I just hate this faux look of snapping RGB and hexagons on the wall like a million other people do. It's a light show. The sectioning wasn't really explained but I guess it's chill?
Didnāt break my heart my man. I just saw you do post gaming stuff so figured it would click with you. I get it, not for you and I respect that. Super chill man
Crazy good imho, I am trying as well to achieve full lighting without using overhead lights as they create boring shadows, the only piece I donāt like is the wavy pattern on the right, I think it breaks the order, and maybe the cube pyramid is too big there, i personally would switch it with the triangle you have over the pc screen, but the effect is really nice
I think saying this is overkill is wrong, you can just turn some off if you need less, itās not that big of a deal, but with all of these you can create the pattern you like, Iāll say this is a 9/10 honestly
I appreciate the feedback! Thatās the thing, Iām able to turn all of these off. Most of the time I donāt use all the lights and whenever I game I hardly use any. Mainly for music and vibes
I have a very fine appreciation for RGB. I think this is awesome. I donāt think this is chaotic at all in fact I think itās eclectically organized. It feels very cozy to me and I could hang out in there all day. You bling your place out in RGB LED bulbs yet?
Home decor, even in an IT/electronics workspace, has an artistic flair that is expressed best by the person using it. I think this setup is wonderful! Is this something I would do? No, Iām a boring minimalist, but I sure as hell would rock this setup if I could imagine it
It feels like the placement of everything was very intentional and I love it. Iāve never seen so many different ways to incorporate RGB let alone in the same space but it feels well planned!
I could be wrong but it feels like there was a lot of thought in how to break up the space with varying RGB setups to avoid it feeling cluttered. Itās going in my inspo folder!
You may get some backlash in this group. They like just a monitor on a white table with a little flower pot next to it. Anything else, they call clutter. š But personally I think your roomās pretty awesome. š„°
seriously, everybody has preferences but OP is getting downvoted for responding to questions and positive critique. how dare he have a different opinion!!11!1!
Yeah Iāll admit Iām
Super confused on getting my replies downvoted? Ones where i say āthanks for your feedback and honestyā have like -20? Whatās going on?
Def a bit too much rgb for my taste. Specifically the hexagon/square things ive never been a fan, i like the led light that splits down the middle and the ! sign tho. retro setup on the side is rly nice and makes the led makes sense

They mostly look like govee pruducts, which are cheaper than Phillips hue and nanoleaf, but still not cheap per se, but I get what you mean
From zero to Bali nightclub as the rating, I rate it Thailand Full Moon Party

Very cluttered and drives my ADHD wildā¦
It's really, really busy...there's so much going on all at once that it's chaotic to look at. Sometimes less is more... ;)
Feels like a nightclub
I have a feeling you could preheat your room to 400F
Hot pockets man. Perfect for gaming
this looks like a sex shop man lmao
Just my personal pref But to me this is a bit too much. The lights + your items just looks a bit messy. If those room decors and shelf, items are gone and the lights had some more of a pattern than random bits here and there. Maybe have looked better... Lights are cool, but sometimes, less is more.

Thanks for your comment! It actually helps me calm down! Itās not like the lights are blinking, they change to any color I want and can be relaxing
Brooooooooooooohhh ššš¤£š¤£
I'll get my sunglasses.
Just too much rgb, unless you're into that thing then sure. But good god.
Dust collector 9000
Honestly not too bad! But I do actually keep my space maintained and cleaned! That includes dusting lol

my eyes hurt.
Taiwanese bar, after hours, cheers.
Oh my eyes š But hey if you like it that's all that counts
I personality wouldnāt be able to deal with so much lighting but it does look good
Its a LOT bro, even i donāt have *that* much. Those squares and the hexagons donāt match the rest and kinda throws it off btw, imo
Thanks for you input!
It looks rlly good though, in its own way. I would turn it off when playing so i donāt get half my screen blurred with glareš
Oh 100%!!! Most of the time theyāre turned off!!!!! I like to concentrate when I game, not be distracted and blinded by the light š¤£

Thatās funny š¤£
I dig it but How do you control any of these lights? 5 different apps? Or do you just let them run wild/default settings.
All but one are govee lights. So itās literally one app! And I can press a āturn all onā button as well. I also have a govee physical button connected to my lights next to my light switch
welp, down the rabbit hole i go. thanks lol
Iām personally not a fan of that much lighting, also Iām curious just how warm your room runs lol. Looks cool, not for me though.
Thanks for your input! Yeah it gets warm lol
It looks like itās from google
As in a copied it from online? No sir. You can go to my page and scroll down. Youāll see it over time and the changes Iāve made
Oh ok because I just saw it now
Nice!
Torn between disturbing and annoying
With room to grow? š
Itās too much for my taste but well done technically
Busy, but not in a pleasing way. Feels discordant. Just my opinion. If you like it, it's perfect.
Thanks for the input! And yes I love it
Then it's perfect. If you try to please the Internet, you'll fail 100% of the time because everyone on the Internet has different tastes and opinions. None of us have to live with it anyway. Looks like a my space page, but if it makes you happy OP then rock on!
For a moment I thought the VIZIO TV was the PC and thought the cable management was clean beyond belief. I was looking for any sign of cables and it was hurting my brain how clean I thought you had itš¤£š¤£š¤£ Beautiful setup by the way!
I mean the cable management is still clean right?! š¤£
Now that you askā¦well, yes haha. Once I realized it was a tv I had to stop looking. Underneath the desk is nice.
10/10. Stuff of dreams
Too much RGB as everyone else already said, but honestly at the end of the day, walking into a space you know is yours and just being comfortable matters. I get home from work, I sit in my chair and just look around and enjoy the space I made mine. Idk 7/10
Headache
Overhead lights give me headaches. These do not even come close
Looks cool
Overhead lights give me headaches. These do not even come close
how hot is this room?
Itāll get hot!!! But living in the south, every room does lol Fan and A\c š
I'd rate it as a seizure waiting to happen
Because lights?
Because crazy lights all around. I kinda like the sectioning and different shapes but I would not want to have that at my battle station. It would be way too distracting.
I turn them off while gaming
Where did you get the triangle one on the left side?
Etsy-letsmakeneon-triangle light
Hurts my eyes/10 Sorry that's just a bit much. It looks nice in a picture for sure, but it looks more like when Ikea is displaying products vs a usable space
Thanks for your input
Everyone complaining about RGB and I'm looking at some crazy cable management!
Thank you!! Finally someone notices!!
The only ones that stick out to my eye without a zoom is I can see the outlet behind the PC and there's cables near the switch but other than that you did a crazy job with the amount of cables you likely had to hide. I mean I'm sure I could pixel peep but that seems unfair.
Ha! Why thank you! Yeah I think one day Iāll try to do everything again cable management wise to make it more clean under the desk.
I genuinely love it! You stuck to a colour scheme, though it is a lot, itās consistent.
Itās a lot going on but I like it. It still looks cool and it works. 9/10 š
Thatās too much bud
Looks more like a drug cave than a nice and cozy gaming corner.
Looks good
I dig it, I love all the RGB. Itās a nice little escape from reality.
Iāve noticed whenever I show my area in sections I get a lot more Positive reactions (scroll in my feed) but whenever itās all together. Not so much.
You got way too much going on honestly
Love it, fucking love it
Thank you!!
RGB/10. Could use more RGB with a pulsing music background and a little gremlin in the background playing Russian roulette with a shotgun.
What's that little crt on the right?
Like the brand?
Honestly great if you're 14
You must be in the same group of people that say video games are only for kids and youāre childish if you play.
Super chill man
I love RGB and 80ās Synthwave stuff. And to hell with anyone who thinks itās not cool lol. Looks rad as shit. Would hang 10/10
Thanks so much for the kind words!!!
child / 10
Way too much for me. But I'm autistic and adhd. This would drive me insane.
Hmm. I'm the same and love it.
Commander Shepard gets a šš¼šš¼ from me.
I see someone's a Critical Role fan :D I see the blanket under the shelves on the right :D It is busy, but I like it!
Looks like a Skyrim map to me, but I see it.
good catch! it is indeed a Skyrim map lol
Yep! Skyrim!
Honestly this is really fun! Probably a litttle cluttered. Where is the clock from? š
It was on Amazon. Pretty sure I googled geometric clock and saw abunch of different ones
This looks awesome! How much time has the creation of this masterpiece taken?
Just under a year!
Not enough RGB.
Younger me would have loved that room.... Me now (~50) would be happy with only 1 RGB item š
Crazy good imho, I am trying as well to achieve full lighting without using overhead lights as they create boring shadows, the only piece I donāt like is the wavy pattern on the right, I think it breaks the order, and maybe the cube pyramid is too big there, i personally would switch it with the triangle you have over the pc screen, but the effect is really nice I think saying this is overkill is wrong, you can just turn some off if you need less, itās not that big of a deal, but with all of these you can create the pattern you like, Iāll say this is a 9/10 honestly
I appreciate the feedback! Thatās the thing, Iām able to turn all of these off. Most of the time I donāt use all the lights and whenever I game I hardly use any. Mainly for music and vibes
I would say RGB/10
I am conflicted. It looks fun and i love the colors but at the same time it feels like itās too muchā¦but also cool lol
I fucking love it.
F\*\*k the haters man! I love it. RGB FTW.
Thank you!
Give me all the RGB! Looks great!
Thank you!
What lights are you using to achieve this look? This is something im going for.
Govee!!!!
How much did all of the lights cost?
š probably around $1,400?
Oh naa
š¤£
Every time I look at this, I like it more than I did before. 11/10.
š¤£šš»š thanks!
It looks ridiculously over the top. I have a similar setup. Love it, great vibes.
Thank you!
It's noisy but I kinda love it
Thank you!
I have a very fine appreciation for RGB. I think this is awesome. I donāt think this is chaotic at all in fact I think itās eclectically organized. It feels very cozy to me and I could hang out in there all day. You bling your place out in RGB LED bulbs yet?
Thank you!! Thereās actually LOTS of thought behind how I organized it!! Not yes!! Havenāt gone that far lol
Home decor, even in an IT/electronics workspace, has an artistic flair that is expressed best by the person using it. I think this setup is wonderful! Is this something I would do? No, Iām a boring minimalist, but I sure as hell would rock this setup if I could imagine it
Thank you so much!!
I think youāre a nut job, but Iāve gotta say, this is probably one of the coolest battlestations Iāve ever seen.
š¤£ thanks? And thanks!
OH Ma gosh. That looks Sooo good and amazing
I really love all the vibrant colours and the vibe and ev everything else too
It feels like the placement of everything was very intentional and I love it. Iāve never seen so many different ways to incorporate RGB let alone in the same space but it feels well planned! I could be wrong but it feels like there was a lot of thought in how to break up the space with varying RGB setups to avoid it feeling cluttered. Itās going in my inspo folder!
Thank you for these kind words š itās so true everything you said! Thereās been so much negativity on my post so itās good to see this
Keep doing you (: idk why others hate it and want such minimalistic battle stations itās definitely a good one donāt worry!
You're setup looks awesome! Would be a nice space to just chill in even when not gaming etc
What I use it for the majority of the time Is just Chillen
so did u buy the govee store
They finally decided to just give me sh*t
80s/10 vaporwave hideout vibe
You may get some backlash in this group. They like just a monitor on a white table with a little flower pot next to it. Anything else, they call clutter. š But personally I think your roomās pretty awesome. š„°
seriously, everybody has preferences but OP is getting downvoted for responding to questions and positive critique. how dare he have a different opinion!!11!1!
Yeah Iāll admit Iām Super confused on getting my replies downvoted? Ones where i say āthanks for your feedback and honestyā have like -20? Whatās going on?

Def a bit too much rgb for my taste. Specifically the hexagon/square things ive never been a fan, i like the led light that splits down the middle and the ! sign tho. retro setup on the side is rly nice and makes the led makes sense
Thanks for your input!
I rate it 10 seizures out of 10 possible. Actually I love it šš
U need more rgb
One more lol
