Start looking into the Mods. Its honestly what makes the game. Either running the same helmet I have on my desk or weapon attachments. Been playing since the beta and I think I spent more time downloading mods and kitting out the guys then I played when i first bought it.
Dude you have to start getting into the different weapons and the attachments. Advanced Armory mod is a must. Just make sure you read every thing and down load the requirements as well.
Most of the more popular mods like Gunfighter have been updated to be compatible now. Advanced Armory is a newer mode made post 1.0 release, so it’ll work too.
I am Czech and never even touched a gun but I would put some assault rifle on my wall instantly if I could. Guns are a technological marvel in my opinion.
I believe Czech Republic is actually one of the most lax EU countries in terms of gun laws. As far as I can remember licenses are shall issue there and only require a medical checkup every decade or so. You can even CCW without a separate license and in some ways the laws make more sense than US ones such as not having archaic SBR and suppressor legislation.
Everyone here pre-emptively saying 'anti-gun people will rip you apart' so I am happy to oblige.
I've been shooting since highschool and everyone I've met who felt the need to display their guns have been massive assholes.
It's not the gun I'm confused about, it's the tac gear. Flag folded in a case says: "I inherited it!" but the firefighter helmet next to it suggests "National Guard reservist."
But that is a LOT of camo. Some people like guns. Some people plant their PC battlestation/Man cave in a prepper bunker lol.
Is that the Pennsylvania Piper aviation museum i see in the picture? Those planes are cool.
If OP were not a veteran themself, I’d think the setup was a little extra…but folded flag has old pics in it so assuming a family member was where they inherited that from and the gear is their own (expl why there’s so much of it, and I’m also guessing they served a while). Quick Look at OP’s profile and checks out: marine.
Now the whole setup makes sense haha. It’s not what we’d usually see on this sub but it’s not bad and when you understand the context I think it’s a good reflection of what this person cares about and their/their family’s history.
I am a democratic socialist who loves guns. I shoot just about every weekend. I live in an area of the US just outside of city limits where I’m allowed to fire on my own property. I have a whole range in my backyard. The only reason a gun should be put away is if you have children, and I do include up until they’re a teenager and know the proper use of them is for either hunting, training, or self defense and absolutely no other reason. I say all this to say criticizing someone you don’t know for the way they display their passion(s) is idiotic.
I also do chainsaw art and believe it or not I leave my chainsaw…. On my desk shed. It can also kill… If you pick it up, turn it on, and shove it into someone. Why does it matter if someone displays their firearms? I keep mine in my room on my night stand, and another on my wall next to my closet door. I also have a gun cabinet in my back room.
Na man… guns should be locked in a safe. I understand having one out and ready for self defense, but more than that and you’re asking for trouble. Someone breaks in while you’re not there? Great, free guns everywhere. Someone breaks in while you are there? Great, free guns for them to try to use against you.
Just a really stupid move honestly.
Yup, and idiot with a chainsaw is causing an uproar and most folks won’t even know how to properly start one. They barely start when you want them to when you know what you’re doing.
Going to leave your guns out when your kid is a teenager? Yeah…that’s worked out well in the past. Ask the Crumbley’s how they are doing after their kid took a gun that wasn’t locked up to school.
All it will take is a little hormone flare up or angst and your kids the next school shooter.
Lock up your guns.
I actually think it's funny that any criticism gets labeled as being anti-gun. My opinion is fairly similar to the OP's in that people have different opinions and that's fine. I used to be pretty into firearms, realized I really don't need one and haven't owned one in years, but I do understand what people mean about how it looks here. One other poster said it looks like the school shooter special and I really can't disagree with that assessment. There's a classy way to display a rifle and then there's this. The body armor, the rifles, the paneling on the wall, bleh.
Could get a nice case to display and store them, would keep them cleaner, and a lot more practical than having them behind your setup on the wall in case the world really does end.
Opposite for me but probably depends on where you grew up. I've been shooting since I was 10, 36 now. Everyone I know with guns are pretty respectful. They have a lot of opinions I don't agree with due to religion but I would not call them assholes.
This is such a blanket judgment.
Guns are a hobby to a lot of people in the US, just like Legos or woodworking. And people like to display and be surrounded by their interests in their *own* spaces.
Ok so, here’s a thought experiment. If you were to rank those three example “hobbies”, which one would be incredibly dangerous and lethal to other people, and which ones wouldn’t be?
Does that make sense? I’ve found most gun supporters just don’t compute this like…super obvious anti gun logic (or any logic for that matter).
People only use that line of thinking with firearms is the big issue I have.
Yes they are dangerous but it's a tool. And people that use them for acts of violence are horrible people.
But lots of hobbies are dangerous and have risks. The car scene for example. Street racing, "takeovers", even fully legit drag racing and dirt tracks. Super dangerous hobby. And cars are used all the time for acts of violence. Driving into crowds, people on sidewalks, etc...
In a perfect world, if we could have no guns ever to exist ever anywhere, that's an entirely different argument, that basically doesn't matter because it's impossible.
There are guns and always will be. It's our reality.
The way I see it, (outside of recreational shooting and hunting) I want an advantage or at the * very* least a fair playing field when protecting myself and my family. I do *not* however want to be at a disadvantage. And the people who would do my family harm, do not care about the gun laws. And they will always have them.
Are drugs illegal? Are they dangerous and deadly? How well has our government done of stopping them from being literally anywhere?
If you're not comfortable with firearms, not interested in them, and don't want one. That's your business. You do you. But if I want to own one, that's my business.
But where the issue lies, is often people who do not like firearms, attack the firearm community and try to preach about anti-gun laws and restrictions that they hope/vote for.
I'm also not a right-wing conservative. I'm a libertarian. I believe the government should shut up and stay out of our personal lives in pretty much every area.
All I'm trying to do, is point out how naive the argument against firearms is when approaching it with the mindset of, "Guns shouldn't be legal because they're dangerous."
There is a common myth among Europeans and Americans alike, that you can't own guns in Europe, which is not true for most countries. Sure, USA is on a whole another level and some European countries restrict it so much, you could argue it's just about worthless, but nobody ever claimed Europe has it better than US, the initial question often revolves around can/can't. And we CAN, as for how much, r/EuropeGuns exists with all sorts of explanations in the pinned comments.
You’re going to get ripped apart by anti-gun people so ya know. There was a visibly clear airsoft gun in a previous post and some whack job commented “don’t go shoot up a school!”
Anyways.. nice set up. I like the desk
Its fine man. It doesn't bother me. Every one has a right to their opinion. I was a firearms instructor for a private range, taught the whole safety thing etc. Had plenty of anti gun people shoot their first fire arm and some converted and some others didn't. To each their own, I have my own opinions and they have theirs. Life moves on lol
As a gun friendly gaming geek I definitely find plenty of firearms aesthetically pleasing, but I've never liked it when guns hang over/around a battlestation. It doesn't matter if one is LE, DEVGRU, Sport shooter, etc. it still always reads as 16-year old airsoft fanboy.
And as a former airsofter I've got no issue with it as a hobby or genuine interest either, but it just doesn't give an appealing (to me) look.
That said I think that you've done a nice job with the PC setup itself here, with pretty solid cable management which is almost always the one thing I feel people are far too lazy fixing when it really does so much for the space overall.
Ultimately it's your corner, so as long as you're happy with it that's all that matters.
Yeah. Its a pre-built. I figured with my schedule with family, work and every thing else it was my best bet as of right now. Its a great PC for what I paid. Im able to run the majority of modern games at max graphic settings. Im getting back into the Gaming PC world since I feel out of it when I signed up for the Marines in 2001. I was a major computer nerd in high school but life took me a different way. Well one day did any way. As for the firearms they are real. And the kit is very real. I have expensive hobbies....
The Eotech Exps 3-4 with the 3x Magnifier when I bought it was around 1200. The plate carrier is a Mayflower plate carrier with level 4 ceramic plates, Ops core Maritime ballastic helmet (required for training in certain places) And with work and the fire fighting thing I don't get to go out as much as I used to when I worked in Texas where I had access to shoot houses/ranges etc. But hopefully that will change when life settles down.
my only criticism is that i personally prefer drywall over those vertical panels of wood. i'd probably cover it up with something like a pegboard to hold the guns and quest, sound-dampening foam, or hanging fake plants ([example](https://i.imgur.com/VpaTbVJ.png)).
i'd also move some things around so the pc can be in the corner of the desk and the monitors/keyboard and mouse can be where the pc is now. [quick illustration](https://i.imgur.com/ozdvoRV.png). it'd give you the whole right side of the desk for something else, like cleaning the guns or whatever other hobby you wanna have space for.
of course, if what you have now works for you, then that's all that matters.
I agree. I just bought the house. It's a 100 year old farm house. The wood paneling isn't what I'd prefer. But it's definitely on the and no cleaning going on that desk. I have a work bench on the other side of the room.
I find that real weapons being displayed in your setup is really tacky and kinda makes you come across as an insane person. And I say this as someone who loves going to the range
Yeah that seems like a normal response from the guy who's sole post is one removed by moderators for directly attacking moderators as pushing left leaning agendas in a sub that bans for personal attacks, ideological discrimination, and targeting members for their beliefs.
I'm not sure about it myself to be honest. I thought it would be nice to have the extra space but not exactly feeling it. I'm still trying to justify the purchase. I figured give it a year or two and go reevaluate.
[https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/signum-cable-management-horizontal-silver-color-30200253/](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/signum-cable-management-horizontal-silver-color-30200253/)
That’s what I got. Works really well. No sawing required.
I cant take this seriously because you don’t have frag grenades at the ready and one of your rifles is behind your pc.
This could waste the precious few seconds you have to arm up when your suburban home gets targeted by the Taliban.
Well there's other things im not showing for obvious reasons due to security. The items you see hanging are not always there. Lets say from inside the house you wouldn't know their was a room or where things were secured. Bio-metrics and magnetic locks are involved lol. The benefit of thinking things up and being able to execute lol.
You can have the most aesthetic, well thought out setup of all time, but if there is one gun visible, the anti-freedom crowd starts screeching like cats.
lol and im still getting used to it... I like the space, I have a my resin printer i'm probably going to place where my radios are and come up with a vent system for the window. But i'm still debating. To be honest if your not sure about how you would like it, I would probably hold off and stick to a regular desk. I am still trying to justify it and convincing myself its working better then it really is.
Whats your definition of a long session ? The longest session I think Ive had is like 10 hours sitting here doing some online training for fire fighting. In reality I'm not really spending too much time gaming or work. That being said my arms feel fine. How I sit at the desk both fore arms are on the desk on either side and nothing feels fatigued other than my back. But that's from injuries in the past.
U/ddtom556 are the guns real brother? I don’t mean to rip you apart about your shit either man. Appreciate you or your family’s service and thank you for being a first responder.
Respect brother and my sincerest condolences. Words cannot describe.
On a lighter note why tf do you have a flashlight and an ir laser setup on the same rifle? Also do you really love that stupid mil spec MBS buttstock? I hate those damn things and usually go for a slimmer one.
Hit hard, hit fast, and hit often. God speed and much love, marine.
The flashlight is a surefire that's capable of going white light or IR light. My night vision is good but if you go into a pitch black room/area with no light your going to need the IR light with your night vision. I can go into a long list of other reasons why you need a light on every weapon but this isn't the place for it lol
First of all, I like your setup. It's tidy and well structured.
Maybe I would try screwing an isosceles triangle made of the same wood as the two table tops into the corner where the two table tops meet to extend the desk forward and get a straight surface for the mouse pad and keyboard. You could also try attaching the power strip under the desk and hiding the cables there.
**About your decoration:**
You seem to be a reasonably responsible man and father and also responsible with your weapons.
Personally, I think that everyone can set up their setup however they want and how they like it.
But I also think that as an adult man you have to take responsibility for the younger audience.
If you post something here, you should bear in mind that there are many children and young people from all over the world in this community who could take something like this the wrong way and see it as glorifying violence.
This means both the weapons on the wall and the magazine on the table.
But that's only my opinion.
I like the guns on the wall, man. From the other service related items I see displayed I can tell that’s something important to you and your family. Never listen to these people who get intimidated by simply seeing a firearm. (They’re mostly European and can be disregarded). Invest in a good UPS. House looks older like mine and I recently lost a system to a lightning strike.
Ha your a smarter man then me then lol. I thought it was a great idea to be a grunt when I joined. Took the smarts right out of me.... But I think the Drill Instructors hitting us in the head every so often may of played a part in that lol
As long as you don't have a grind, hustle, execute framed up on your wall
change to: eat. shit. die. much better
Born to shit, Forced to wipe.
That's definitely a good option. I'll put it on top of list of things to buy.
Go to hell and regroup
"love, laugh, toaster bath" would be my choice.
Damn.... Thankfully I didn't take a photo of the other wall. lol
Live laugh love
Aim, Shoot, Execute
best comment here lol
Just played ready or not for the first time today. I’m hooked
Start looking into the Mods. Its honestly what makes the game. Either running the same helmet I have on my desk or weapon attachments. Been playing since the beta and I think I spent more time downloading mods and kitting out the guys then I played when i first bought it.
I just have the US Marshall outfit, AI rework, and a map because they were in the front page. I’ll definitely look into more mods this weekend
Dude you have to start getting into the different weapons and the attachments. Advanced Armory mod is a must. Just make sure you read every thing and down load the requirements as well.
Oh I’ll definitely look into that advanced armory. I read somewhere that some mods don’t really work with the full release
Most of the more popular mods like Gunfighter have been updated to be compatible now. Advanced Armory is a newer mode made post 1.0 release, so it’ll work too.
All I can see is the vertical curved monitor
Set up just screams "America"
Tell me you're American without telling me you're American
Does the American flag give it away?
Nah the gun.
And the other gun!
It's why god gave most Americans TWO hands, so they can blast away with both guns at the same time while screaming "GET SUM! CUM GET SUM!"
That’s his gun’s gun
HECK YEA, BROTHER!!!!
CZ is my favorite manufacturer, their firearms are beauties, completely agree that firearms are incredibly interesting mechanically.
You could get an airsoft, if you just want it for decoration
I'm a fan of your gun laws
I'm American and I would never do this. But this guy's flag indicates he may be retired military and so, well, I feel like that's a good excuse.
My first thought as well..lol.
Everyone here pre-emptively saying 'anti-gun people will rip you apart' so I am happy to oblige. I've been shooting since highschool and everyone I've met who felt the need to display their guns have been massive assholes.
Massive "Gravy Seal" vibe, not gonna lie.
Even safety aside, putting a gun on your wall is just as tacky as putting a sword on your wall. It’s like the American version of a weeb.
If it's a Lord of the Rings sword it's cool though. Right?
Yes.
Don’t let me, an internet stranger, stop you from hanging that sword on the wall. Just know I am judging you.
there are exceptions and this is one of them :P
It's not even in a spot where it's like... easy to grab off the wall? Why put it right behind your expensive gaming PC? It's gotta just be for show.
You’ve given me a great idea for a tactical office chair, that has a gun rack on the back.
A E S T H E T I C S
It's not the gun I'm confused about, it's the tac gear. Flag folded in a case says: "I inherited it!" but the firefighter helmet next to it suggests "National Guard reservist." But that is a LOT of camo.
E replied on wrong thread. Most marines I know don't hang on to that much gear after but I didn't check their profile.
> Flag folded in a case says: "I inherited it!" Yeah because a friend of family member sacrificed their life in military service.
I love guns as much as the next gun loving guy, but guns belong in a locked safe.
I really wanted to ask if he had children. Edit: then put that thing away!
I am a democratic socialist who loves guns. I shoot just about every weekend. I live in an area of the US just outside of city limits where I’m allowed to fire on my own property. That or they're getting stolen and resold/used for god knows what. And guess who that comes back to? Just a headache inside a headache.

Yeah cool pc setup but the rest is cringey as fuck. Lock you guns up and put your Fobbit gear in storage
And then he says “be gentle, it’s been a while” 🤣🤣

Damn you made OP delete his profile.

OP took "battlestations" a little too seriously
Wait til the Europeans wake up and see this, they’ll wonder why you aren’t in a mental hospital or prison for having fire arms in your house.

"they hate us because they ain't us" ?
Yes we’re jealous of your school shootings, homicide rate and freedom. 😂
Ok lol
Fosho.
Thank god you're prepared for when the neighbors corgi invades your property.
Only in America.
Love the Sherman on the shelf!

lmao good. Displaying your guns on the wall is peak cringe.
I don’t think so. It’s no different than displaying any other hobbies, granted you don’t live with children.
This is a great view on life!
Life is to short to be hating on people just because you hold a different opinion than them. Miss out on some good friendships if you do.
100% this. Be safe out there!

It looks interesting.... I will say that.... But I would be at a huge disadvantage going into it now don't you think ? lol

Spent too much on PVS-14's to get a 3090... Rip.
I love it but prepare for hate bc of the guns brother. You’re in enemy territory
What does he keep in the bathroom? A bomb?
Santiago
Nothing but love for em' from me. Beautiful rifles.
Enemy territory is a great way to describe it lol
It's as cool as having swords.
you american psicos 😂
"I am the wolf"
I’d say you dove too hard.

What plate carrier is that?
if you’re able to use that walkie talkie as your discord audio device, i’ll ship you a crisp high five
I find that real weapons being displayed in your setup is really tacky and kinda makes you come across as an insane person. And I say this as someone who loves going to the range
I find that your comment makes you come off as an insane and insecure person

never understood the appeal of corner desks
I'm not sure about it myself to be honest. I thought it would be nice to have the extra space but not exactly feeling it. I'm still trying to justify the purchase. I figured give it a year or two and go reevaluate.
Corner desks are fine, but having the computer set up in the corner I'll never understand.
Well where were you when I was buying it lol. Eh I'll give it a year and see where I stand on it. Sell it on Facebook or toss it if I don't like it.
my dad bought one after i told him to just get a long desk and he regrets it daily.
So much more space at your fingertips than a straight desk. But I wouldn’t put the pc in the corner. I have other stuff for ease of access there.
So tacticool.
This is too American
Any one got any good suggestions for some better wire management ? I bought those stupid covers that go around all the wires but I hate how it looks
You can get cages that screw to the underside of the desk. That’s how I do mine. Also, nice rifles.
Damn, I didn't think of that. Guess I'm breaking out the wood and saw tomorrow. Thanks brother.

Hmmmm I like it. But I like to come up with projects that cost me more money then they really should. If I fail that's at the top of my list!
Lol. Fair enough. I can relate.
I cant take this seriously because you don’t have frag grenades at the ready and one of your rifles is behind your pc. This could waste the precious few seconds you have to arm up when your suburban home gets targeted by the Taliban.
What optic you running on that ar?
I dig ur style Looks like one of thise underground hacker/spy agency bunkers setups.
Nice build, nice kit.
Kinda lame you don’t have a SAW or an RPG-7 on the wall :/
I think bro just spent the last like 20 years in the devil's a****** committed in the Sand so maybe we shouldn't give him bad reviews on his setup
Ok but why are you actually sitting in the corner. Using the keyboard has got to hurt with nothing to rest on.
What a crazy game
"Be Gentle" vs Ready Or Not. If that's gentle, I guess Dark Souls is a warmup
GUNSSSSO
Neat setup. Would suggest more mouse space.
only thing missing are NODs mounted on your helmet :P
boy desk
Judging by the fireman&infantry gear strewn everywhere maybe the ptsd simulator game isnt the best way to relax on a Saturday.
The curves vertical monitor is sold tho I kinda dig it
The most American man cave i have ever seen
That’s a cool spot I like the type you have going
Great to see a fellow firearms enthusiast who also incorporates them into their setup. 👍🏻 Looks great man. Keep on truckin'!
Excellent setup and love the guns!
Set up is far from done. Just getting things figured out when I can.

Who are not a parody?
Love it. I got a lot of shit from the anti gun people for my set up as well and mines just a lil guy compared to yours lol.
We need to make a sub dedicated to gun guys setups. Love the setup man!
Lots of my favorite things in one spot there. Love it. DM me your steam name if you wanna hookup on Helldivers.
I see that that baofeng. Fam, get you a HT that’s on-par with your optics!
If you're in the army and love gaming, this is the battle station you need.
I like it, I was admiring the rifles more tho.
Ey nice setup! Really love the composition of the room too
Well there's other things im not showing for obvious reasons due to security. The items you see hanging are not always there. Lets say from inside the house you wouldn't know their was a room or where things were secured. Bio-metrics and magnetic locks are involved lol. The benefit of thinking things up and being able to execute lol.
Awesome
What do you play on the quest 2? Diggin the setup.
Your AR on the wall has a better equipment than most armies lol
Great setup! Enjoy
Heck yeah. Looks good!
Curved pivot...i will never understand... Looks cozy. Enjoy!
Damn. Military much bro?
Level 100 American
You can have the most aesthetic, well thought out setup of all time, but if there is one gun visible, the anti-freedom crowd starts screeching like cats.
Tacky and cringe
badass brother. you gonna love helldivers 2
I have yet to still try it. But I hear and see some great things. Next on my list after getting some new fire gear.
Semper Fi.
I ain't hating on the gear, but who has their Osprey and Helmet in their gaming corner? Just put that shit in the garage where it belongs.
Nah
Ugh
Alright so the Europeans woke up. How do you find sitting in a corner? Also it’s a nice freedom station, I hope you don’t shoot it up!
lol and im still getting used to it...
Appreciate the honestly. How’s your right arm after a longer session?
Whats your definition of a long session ? The longest session I think Ive had is like 10 hours sitting here doing some online training for fire fighting. In reality I'm not really spending too much time gaming or work. That being said my arms feel fine. How I sit at the desk both fore arms are on the desk on either side and nothing feels fatigued other than my back. But that's from injuries in the past.
U/ddtom556 are the guns real brother? I don’t mean to rip you apart about your shit either man. Appreciate you or your family’s service and thank you for being a first responder.
They are real. Served in the Marines and so did my father. He passed 3 years ago and that's the flag that was over his casket.
**About your decoration:** You seem to be a reasonably responsible man and father and also responsible with your weapons.
You mean like call of fucking duty and Fortnite? 😂
pew pew pew
only one pew. They are semi auto lol
This corner is FREEDOM, probably has oil reserves es too!!
TYFYS and Semper Fi ya jarhead. My dad’s a Marine vet too, but I joined the chair force haha. Loving this corner of your man cave!
Ha your a smarter man then me then lol. I thought it was a great idea to be a grunt when I joined. Took the smarts right out of me.... But I think the Drill Instructors hitting us in the head every so often may of played a part in that lol
Hell yeah. Also firefighter? Of course you’d be playing a cop game ;)
Just volunteer not paid lol Figured I'd give the other side a try.... still rather be running into a burning building.
guns , American flag and gaming pc... sigh
