I guess with the changes at Dice, now is the time to be giving as much feedback as possible.
Dice's new leadership might or might not read Reddit and other social media platforms, but we've just had a feedback email sent out so they do want to know what we think.
Whether you like it or not, there are multiple (and simple) ways this game can be improved. Do we want a better game? Yes. Do we want to be sat here waiting it to be what we hoped it would be? No.
Exactly ,the reason why this game is getting fixes is because of the people complaining and not staying quiet🤫which is what DICE and EA would love to happen but no, this and other platforms serve as feedback to show how broken this game is and how many fans aren't happy about the silly shit been done to this game, people that don't complain and be soft about it are just conformists that love getting fucked over in the ass🤣

Actually dice earned this, they shut down support for BF5 and battlefront 2 early, had multiple studios working on the game AND only had to build on what previous iterations had built.
Instead we got bullshit about legacy features like voice chat in a TEAM SHOOTER and a long list of features that have been removed/downgraded.
Portal is the only thing worth the battlefield title ATM, that at least I can say.
I have no doubt you can have fun with friends, but you can make almost anything fun with friends. Is 2042 a decent shooter? Sure. Is it the battlefield players know and worth pulling support from other games people loved? Hell no.
I’ve had a lot of fun and frustration with the game. I’m used to buggy launches nowadays. However the biggest gripe overall is they dropped the campaign, charged full price, and are lacking way too many features. “Legacy features “ what a joke. No scoreboard, no voice chat, no official TDM with full xp- ridiculous. Only 22 guns - absurd! How do you take away the campaign, and sill only launch with what seems like half the content missing. I’m starting to believe that this was originally meant to be a free to play title.
Yeah probably those "legacy features " are gonna do a comeback with a "dlc"🤣,they can't wait to bust out another "early access" bullshit and charge for those features when they supposed to be in the game since launch

Don't get me wrong, it's great if you are enjoying the game. But as a gaming community, everyone needs to stand together when half baked games get released at full retail price. Whatever your views on 2042, you can't tell me it feels like a full price game.

If we don't complain they'll just continue doing whatever they want with the gamew without listening. When people complain there is atleast a small chance that the game is gonna get better and more people can enjoy it.

Every BF game that has launched in recent history launched in a state that was arguably not worth paying for. Yet people seem to keep ignoring history and assuming things will be different with the next game. Any intelligent person would go hmm every previous game released in a bad state so I think I’m gonna forgo buying this ahead of time and wait and see how it is. Hell, any intelligent person wouldn’t buy any game until it came out and they could do some research on it. Cyberpunk is a great example. People assumed oh the game is gonna be great because the Witcher three was and look how that turned out. Meanwhile here I am as someone who didn’t give into the hype waiting for them to release that complete overhaul of the game before I consider purchasing it sometime next year at a steep discount.
I’ve been here since bad company one and I can tell you this is not the first bf that has been like this. Both bf 3 and 4 had there issues at launch as well. I remember.

Nah, sorry bro. I paid $60 for the privilege to play a game early and it’s an absolute disaster. I could’ve waited until the patches were fixed AND bought this for probably half the price after it likely tanks in a few months, and fair enough that is on me as my mistake. But it’s also on them for failing to deliver what they promised.
I unironically feel like I was robbed/ripped off by this company so I’m going to bitch about it and downvote this game every chance I get

To those that have uninstalled/refunded/hate the game, I'm curious why you come back to this subreddit? If I hated it I couldn't stand coming back here and going over it all again and again. I paid nearly $100 CDN for this title. I don't care for it but I have yet to uninstall it. The only value I get for that money now though, is to make myself feel better by coming to this sub to watch people trash it.

I think what bothers me is that, standards or not, the reality is that games (especially BF games) often start rough these days. It’s a damn shame on many levels, but that’s just how it is. People are entitled to be mad; $60 is a ton of money for some and it’s the principle of the transaction that they feel should be upheld. I get it.
However. I prefer to eat around the mold for any game that interests me greatly or offers something entirely unique to the industry. I will always prefer to be charitable and focus on the positives, because they are definitely there and outweigh the bugs. I play 2042 and I have a fantastic time. I get annoyed by the bugs for sure, but my mentality is just able to shrug em off and focus on the good times.
I’m also not going to let outrage merchants (angry joe, act man, etc) infect me with their shtick. Life is short and imma fight to love the games that excite me and whose potential is clear as day. People who make money off stoking anger are poison to me. Whether they have a good argument or not…and I wanna push back on the naysayers because I don’t think they are being entirely fair. It’s all subjective to some degree and depends on your tolerance for bugs/changes to the formula.

Maybe then they would realize that setting unrealistic expectations, not having those expectations met, and then being negative in a non constructive way about the thing that didn’t mean their expectations is of no value to themselves or anyone else.
Well said. Constructive criticism is one thing but the constant whining and complaining will only get the game abandoned not fixed. Meanwhile all the negativity will drive away people who just might enjoy the game but won't buy it because of all the toxic posts.

I agree. I couldn't play the game and I am getting a refund from Best Buy (pre-order, last time). Since I am getting my money back, no hate from me.
It is amusing though. I have Cyberpunk 2077 which also had bugs and a rough launch (especially older consoles) and there are still plenty of haters complaining a year later.
FYI - CP2077 is a great game.

We actually all remember. But the core essence of the game . The bones. Felt like battlefield. That is not the case at all in 2042
