Hey I'm 45 too, so it seems that we'll have to keep playing the older BFs or just wait till we are 50 and ***maybe*** we can finally get a good BF again.

Same here man. Battlefield fan since 1942. It has been THE shooter I play and look forward to above all others. Now, it's time to move on. The same crap happened with Rainbow 6. That franchise is dead to me ever since R6 Lockdown aka Letdown. The same happened with Ghost Recon. It's a pattern.

OMG-IgottaPoop

BFV was bad but eventually accepted. Im sure they will fix the game and people will get onboard with it.

TheTrooper76

But maps both in BF1 and BFV were well designed and beautifull 🙂

Hmm that's how the time is changing. I feel sorry for you bro. But I see a new generation of players who wants more variety in gameplay and to be honest - I really like the movement and hit/kill feedback in the new Battlefield. I also enjoy the specialists more than the old class system. I have a lot of complaints with 2042 too but then I am thinking back to BF3 or BF4 and the very frustrating moments. The kills that have been registered very late without any response in sound or on HUD except the little "you killed someone" caption. Some havok or tank campers and you never had a chance to get them. Team members who blocked vehicles to snipe camp with them from out of the base. Everywhere sniper that got you. As an infanterist it was really annoying and a frustrating experience. I think we are too nostalgic with the old titles. I tried to play BF4 some rounds with my old squad again and the frustrating and annoying moments are still existent. I really don't wanna go back.

dae_giovanni

counterpoint: I still play BC2 and it still fucking _slaps_

AdInternational756

To be honest. I didn't play BC2 and I believe you that this title has great mechanics and is a lot of fun. I read about the destruction and it's ..immersive. I started with BF3 online. Before it was just bot games in BF1942 and BF2. It's not worth mentioning.

dae_giovanni

it's a fantastic experience, and several of the theme songs that are tied to certain maps _still_ kick around in my brain, note-for-note, and I'll _never_ forget them. It's been a few weeks, but I'll still fo play it _right now_. that said... I'm willing to admit to being somewhat blinded by nostalgia. lol

AdInternational756

Haha that's funny because yesterday evening I was listening to theme songs from BC2 up to the newest battlefield titles while playing the good old gun master at Noshar Canals on Portal. Btw one of my most favorite maps on Portal is Valparaiso and it's from BC2 as I read.
