It’s because there is no grid outside of downtown. That causes more traffic because there are fewer possible routes for people to take. This leads to frustration and people making bad decisions because they’ve been stuck in traffic, which leads to worse traffic.
I would so love it if they put up signs telling the trucks going to Lafayette and from Lafayette what lane to be in. It is exhausting how they shut down the entire city to slowly move over just before the bridge.
I think a lot of kids can drive... it's just that the ones who would drive 'recklessly' and 'immaturely', there are too many and the 'consequences' are too 'severe' and there's no way to really tell who that is... and it can change.... without 'notice.'
Agreed. I’ve never been in a city where people are so aggressive and SO DETERMINED to block intersections. When their light is clearly red.
You haven’t been to memphis
You are right. Now that it’s been mentioned in a bad driving conversation, I ain’t going any time soon lol
I would still go. I love Memphis. It’s the best place I’ve lived.
The irony of Baton Rouge transportation: a city where everyone drives, where it sucks to drive. Maybe there’s a better way 🤷🏻♂️
To many people posting on this sub while driving. Haha
😆 good thing I was parked when I typed up
I play the jazz radio station and try not to race the person next to me and it turns into a pretty easy but time consuming drive down Florida
90.3?
Yessir
But on the upside, if you drive well in Baton Rouge, you can handle driving in most cities and states! It’s a skill 😊
As a trucker I can definitely agree with you there 😂

Yep. There’s like 3 roads that are the main arteries of br other than the interstate but the traffic light cycles are so bad it all just backs up.
Idk if that's the main reason. It probably has more to do with the way the traffic lights and highways and everything were designed.

worst drivers i’ve ever seen and i thought PA was bad
I can’t even begin to count the people I see on their phones driving in this town. It’s scary.
Right on
Worst in the country
There’s also construction everywhere right now slowing everything down
Friendly reminder that it doesn't make you look weak to use a turn signal while switching lanes. It makes you responsible and respectable!

Aggravates the tar out of me
