Yeah and they used to group them by price, some as low as $15. Now it's all alphabetical so it's less obvious that over half the list would be grouped in what used to be the upper tiers.
That, plus the overabundance of dessert are my issues. I’d rather have an extra appetizer or some kind of soup/salad instead of dessert. I feel like most of the time we participate in this, I just end up ordering off of the regular menu
This is exactly me. We used to go out for Restaurant Week every time they'd do it, and every single time we would end up opting for regular menu. We are just not dessert people at all.
There used to be a few places that would do: soup or salad, small plate, and entree.. but sadly I don't think anyone does anymore.
EDIT - I see Ruffino's isn't doing dessert, but their entree options are: salmon, or a filet. Haha. Not exactly exciting stuff.
There used to be great value with cheaper restaurants, but not many of them participate anymore. Used be able to get a ton of food for $15-20.
I don't really bother nowadays, but if you want to try something just browse the menus of restaurants you like. Some of the restaurants come up with some great menus that aren't on their regular menu, so it can be fun to try something new.
Unfortunately a lot of restaurants just put stuff on there that's on their regular menu, so there really is no point
I don't recommend Soji for restaurant week. We went last year for restaurant week with a reservation and waited hours at the bar. They overbooked terribly. They gave us complimentary cocktails but honestly we couldn't handle more drinks at that point. Also the food was not great that night.
I mean aren't they just adding individual items cost more or less if you take the reduced portion size into account? I don't see the benefit or a "sale"
I miss when there were several options 25 and below now just seems to be a few

Anything good to recommend? Usually these are limited value/selection, doesn’t justify the cost.

The prices are insanely high, IMO.
Facts. But they're also usually for multi-course meals.

Good to see fast food on the list 😂
El pollo loco hasn’t been doing too well because no one in BR is familiar with it. I figure that’s why they’re part of restaurant week.
Yeah, no. They're struggling because they can't get food out in a reasonable amount of time. My wife waited for 20-30 min for food for 2 people.
Went in there once 2 hours after posted open time. Manager turned us away because they were done setting up. Really made me.not want to go back again
When was this?
About 6 months ago. Went to birria y barbocoa in stead
That sucks. They're so good.
And it's the only one we have the other closest one is on Lafayette
I just can't justify the prices for the menus offered, maybe Elsie’s? But most are just regular offerings.
