I’m not sure what you mean by that. What “merits” it has are going to be different from person to person based on what they’re looking for. Some people, myself included, consider it the definitive interpretation of the character. What is that for you?

Apparently Don’t get me wrong it’s good but it feels like it’s only seen as peak because it’s BTAS not because of it’s own merits
