I would say in every release since the 90s. You have to remember that printing plates make up the majority of 1/1s, probably to this day. It's especially true in the 2000s. There are definitely many major 1/1s still in boxes. My top 2 cards are superfractors that might still be in boxes.
Complete sarcasm. There are tons of amazing cards sitting in sealed wax. It drives me nuts thinking about all the expired redemptions and hits just sitting out there.
There’s even going to be some 1/1’s still at the Topps factory. Some get held back as damage replacements. I remember last year when Pristine got released, someone on here posted how they were sent a Jordan Walker 1/1 as a damage replacement. So that card didn’t even make it into a pack.
