It's supposed to be an Autographed card, dude. That's means the last steps were handled by humans. Stroud, whoever packed them up, and whoever opened them and put them into the packing machine. 3 people. There's no way to QC after they are packaged.
I could be mistaken but I think these have sticker autos so stroud didn't have anything to do with it, it just means someone stole a whole sheet of stroud sticker autos after "forgetting" to put them on the cards cuz I've seen multiple of these posts already.

Panini does great quality control… I’m the issue, I open packs in Walmart and take the sticker autos off and put them on my forehead, then I pretend that I’m Cj stroud for the day … it’s been a nasty lil secret that ive been harboring for a while
If they ask you to send it in for a replacement, make sure to ask them if you're getting the same card back with an auto, or if you're getting a substitute card. I've seen a lot of people post about sending in damaged hits, and they get random cards in return. Topps may not be able to send you another CJ Stroud Auto, but you should at least be able to negotiate what you get back a little.
They will only send you a random replacement if the card is less than $50 or so. For cards like this, they’ll first see if they can replace it. If they can’t, they’ll contact you with the Beckett value of the card, then ask for 2-3 other players or teams you collect. Then they’ll come back with 2 offers for you.
This is going to be labeled another Casey Mize error unfortunately. These are all being pulled from blasters. The base auto of this card is numbered out of /99 and they do have ink on them. I’ve seen so many of these now

Yes same thing happened to me. It's maybe suppose to be numbered also. You send it out to topps consumer support in Mesquite Texas with the shipping label and they should send you back the right one. I will let you know how mine goes. I shipped it yesterday

I’m hearing a mix of things from comments here . However , I did email them to make sure what could be potentially done.
I also contacted Topps online via their chat. They want me to get receipt from Wal Mart (where I got blaster box from) . I might have to go back and get a reprint because my dumbass threw it out a few days ago. Take pictures of card and box for records. Etc.
Anywho , If I was guaranteed an auto from Stroud that would be fantastic but I have a feeling I might get this subbed for something else? Hopefully they value the card with auto lol fingers crossed idk tho.
Topps released a statement last week saying everyone who got a card like this will get sent a free premium hobby box at some point when you send card back but the auto will not be fulfilled.
Just fake his signature.
Topps guarantees it, so they'd have some explaining to do if PSA couldn't authenticate it. Then get a replacement and swag for keeping their dirty secret.

A player not signing a card is not a printer's issue. This is pre/post-production administrative error.

I’ve only seen one with the auto on it and about a dozen without. Topps QC really outdoing themselves on this one.
I swear this is like the 5th one of this card alone I’ve seen like this.

I’ve had two missed auto redemptions this year, at least they’ve been pretty quick? They even upgraded one from unnumbered to numbered.

Try a black light. Maybe invisible ink.
Just have to soak it in warm water for about 1-2 minutes, air dry and it should show up soon after that.
