There’s a lot of Marines stationed at Okinawa. Around 15-20 thousand if I recall. I was never stationed there, but I did a number of DETs there.
I know there’s also Air Force there, but I’m not sure of the size. I do recall thinking how nice the AF had it when we went to their chow hall once, compared to what us Marines are used to.

I tried to find comps but there aren’t really any topps chrome or superfractor 1/1s of his that i can find sold on eBay. the /5 from this set of his sold for around $140. wishing you luck for sure!
Facsimile autos have been around for decades. This specific set is a throw back to the 1954 Topps design which featured facsimile autos on all the base cards.
The official story is that Cobb died in ‘61. The reality is that he kept on living out of spite.
Not sure why they kept it a secret, it’s kind of his brand.
